The boyar waits for a response and the infantrymen know that things are about to get bloody. As his impatience grew he ordered ten of his men to break down the castle door. As Lucinda and Stefan hear the pounding from the door they immediately start to find a way to escape. Lucinda then remembers that the castle has another exit in case of an urgent matter. The castle door is starting to crack and the boyar starts to feel a sense of bloodlust.
He waits patiently and prepares himself for what's about to happen. The boyar mumbles a prayer in Latin, "Domine, da mihi fortitudinem adversus hoc daemonium." One of his men asks what the prayer means. He then says it's a prayer for strength against what they are about to face. The castle door finally broke and it was very quiet and dark inside the castle.
The infantrymen are waiting for something to happen. The boyar orders all of the infantrymen to charge and destroy everything they see and says he will face the devil by himself. As the infantrymen start to destroy everything, the boyar looks for Lucinda. He is a very clever man, he knows Lucinda will not simply hide in one of the castle rooms. He observes everything carefully and by the corner of the room, he spots an oddly positioned painting.
"This painting seems to be positioned a bit too low", he says to himself. He picks up and removes the painting hanging from the wall. He sees a door and attempts to open it only to find out it's locked. With a strong kick, he bursts through the door and enters the secret room. He sees a set of descending stairs and walks down. After reaching the last step, he finds an empty room and sees an open door leading outside of the castle. He realizes Lucinda has already escaped. He screams with so much anger and frustration that Lucinda just escaped him. He goes upstairs and orders his men to destroy and to burn the castle. After everything is destroyed, they leave the scene to go back to Târgoviște.
The boyar made it back to Târgoviște filled with frustration. He was determined to hunt down the vampire. He proceeds to go to the governor's house to speak with him about what happened. He knocks on the governor's door waiting for a response. Moments later the governor opens the door and is shocked to see Boyar Dimitru come back so early. The sun has not even risen yet but he's already back. The governor asks, "How did it go? Was it a success?" The boyar shows an irritated look. "That fucking vampire escaped me and made me look like a fool." The boyar says.
The governor is now more worried than ever. "How did she escape you?" The governor asks. "The fucking castle had a secret room that led to the back of the castle. That's how she fucking escaped me." The governor thinks about what he should do next. He can't just let a vampire go roaming around the forest. The boyar suddenly says, "Give me one thousand men and I will find her."
The governor looks at the boyar with a shocked expression. "Are you out of your mind? Do you even know how much weaponry we need for every infantryman and how much it's all going to cost us?" The boyar then says, "I can assure you governor, with a thousand men following my lead, I can slaughter that demon." The governor is hesitant and says that they should continue this conversation tomorrow. The boyar agrees since it's still dark and the governor needs to sleep.
Lucinda and Stefan look for a place to stay at the moment. They find a cave and decide to take a rest here until they can find a new place to stay in. Stefan starts to close his eyes from being too tired and Lucinda is watching over the cave. She starts to think about what to do next. They no longer have a place to stay in and many now know that she is a vampire lurking in the forest. For now, she just worries about what she and Stefan need at the moment.
The boyar heads back home to his wife, Elena after the discussion he had with the governor. He sits on the bed next to his sleeping wife. Elena notices he's finally home and gives him a hug from behind. "You're home," She says. Elena notices that he looks a bit frustrated and asks, "Why do you look so upset? Is something wrong? Did something happen?" The boyar responds, "Nothing, I'm just tired from a mission. Don't worry, okay?" She comforts him and kisses his shoulders and face. "Dimitru my love, you're frustrated and I know it. Don't hide it from me," Elena says.
Dimitru smiles and kisses her wife's succulent lips. They both enjoy kissing each other. Suddenly, their kiss starts to turn into something intense. Dimitru kisses Elena's neck and she moans with such tenderness. They start to strip off each other's clothes and Dimitru pins his wife to the bed and they begin to make love. As Dimitru enters Elena, he feels all of his frustration and anger from earlier slowly start to fade.
She makes a loud moan and kisses Dimitru while he's inside her. Dimitru starts to suckle and gently caress Elena's soft breasts causing her to unleash a loud erotic groan. She hugs him tight while they make love. Moments later, he passionately releases a part of himself inside her. After making love, they both pant from the exhaustion. Both of them lie down unclothed. Just as the two of them were about to sleep, Dimitru whispers in his wife's ear, "I love you so much, Elena." His wife responds, "I love you more, Dimitru."
At the cave, Stefan wakes up after his long rest. He sees Lucinda sleeping in a dark corner of the cave, away from sunlight. Now, it's his turn to guard the cave and watch over Lucinda. But he feels his hunger and plans to search for food. He plans to go hunting and to gather materials that will be useful for his hunt. Stefan spots a long branch of a tree and snaps the branch off. Luckily, the branch already had a sharp end.
He looks for any animals he can hunt down. Stefan observes his surroundings carefully and spots a rabbit. He quietly approaches the rabbit and waits for the right moment to stab. He finally stabs the rabbit and plans to hunt more. After a while, he manages to hunt down five rabbits. He made the fire for him to cook in and feel warm. Stefan cooks two and plans to leave Lucinda three rabbits. He finally ate and went back to watching over the cave.
Soon enough it's already starting to get dark and he just has to wait for Lucinda to wake up. He thinks if he should drain the blood of the rabbits for Lucinda to drink. After thinking for a while, he decides that maybe he should drain the blood off the rabbits. He looks for materials around the woods where he can place the blood. He finds a tree and takes a piece of bark from it. Stefan then heads back to where the cave is located. He starts to drain the blood off the rabbit and pours it in the bark.
Once he was finished, it was already dark and Stefan wanted to check on Lucinda if she's starting to wake up. He enters the cave to see if she has already woken. Suddenly, the sound of footsteps can be heard from outside the cave. It gave him shivers because it might be an infantryman. He quietly takes a peek outside the cave to see who or what was making the sound of footsteps. Stefan sees a large wolf drinking the blood he just drained. He was shocked to see a wolf this big. He carefully reached for the stick he used earlier and patiently waited for a right moment to attack.
Stefan charges at the wolf and stabs its stomach. The wolf starts to scream and bleed everywhere. What Stefan saw next shocked him even more. The wolf instantly heals from the attack and charges at Stefan, causing him to fall to the ground. The large wolf is now on top of him. Just as the wolf was about to kill Stefan, Lucinda suddenly comes out of the cave and attacks the wolf. She helps Stefan get up and checks if he's okay.

Both Lucinda and the wolf clash with each other. Stefan couldn't do anything but watch them battle. The wolf finds an opportunity to run towards Lucinda and bite her arm. Lucinda screams in pain from the bite. She grabs the wolf's neck and slams it to the ground. The wolf got dizzy from the slam and fell down. Lucinda waits if the wolf would still attack. The wolf is now getting smaller. This surprises her and she watches the wolf slowly turn into a man. She realizes that she had been fighting a werewolf. That's why it was stronger and healed quicker than a normal wolf.
The werewolf who is now a man gets up from the ground. "What the fuck?!" The man angrily shouted. "Why the fuck are you both inside my forest anyway?! No one has ever reached this deep in the forest. You both better leave now!" The man says. Stefan then responds, "Wait! We just got lost too and we have no place to stay! We just spent a night in this cave." The man was still furious about everything that happened, but he decided to calm himself down to speak with both of them properly.
The man asks, "How the hell did the two of you get lost anyway?" Lucinda then replies, "We're being chased by infantrymen. They want to capture me because I'm a vampire." The man was surprised about what Lucinda revealed. "You're a vampire? Well no wonder why you were so strong." Stefan then asks, "What's your name anyway?"
The man answers, "My name is Valentin Laforge." Curiosity filled Stefan's face when Valentin revealed his last name. "Laforge? That doesn't sound like a common last name here in Wallachia. What kind of a last name is that?" Stefan asks, intrigued by his last name. Valentin then responds, "Yes, it's French. I'm originally from France." Stefan is genuinely surprised that he is French. The three of them are now in an awkward situation.
As Stefan and Lucinda were about to go back in the cave, Valentin felt the urge to help them. He invites Lucinda and Stefan to stay in his home since they need help and a proper shelter. Both of them no longer hesitate to accept the offer since they badly need a place to stay.
Lucinda and Stefan follow Valentin to his home. They walk for quite some time but make it to the house. Valentin lives in a timbered house. Though it looks simple, it's cozy enough to stay in. "Come on in you two!" Valentin says.
They both enter the house and start to observe their new surroundings. Another woman appears and welcomes Valentin home. "You're back!" The woman says. Both of them greet and kiss each other. The woman then sees Lucinda and Stefan. She asks, "Who are they?" Valentin looks at the two of them and responds, "I never got to ask for your names. Please, introduce yourselves to me and my wife."
Lucinda and Stefan properly introduce themselves. When Lucinda revealed herself as a vampire in front of Valentin's wife, she wanted to know more about Lucinda since she had never met nor seen a vampire before. "A vampire? I've never seen one nor met one before. It's very nice to meet the both of you. My name is Margaux Beaumont. Lucinda proceeds to ask, "I'm guessing you are French too, like your husband? Your last names don't sound Wallachian."
Margaux nods and says, "Yes, we both came from France." Margaux asks Valentin why he came home with two other people. Valentin tells the whole story about how he met Lucinda and Stefan while hunting for food. He also shares the story how he and Lucinda fought ferociously, but in the end, he still invited the both of them home since they were lost and had no shelter. Margaux is very proud since Valentin controlled his anger and became a helping hand.
She always reminds Valentin to remain calm and to not get carried away. "Good boy. I have a treat for you tonight." Margaux says in a seductive tone. Both of them smile at each other and kiss again. Lucinda and Stefan just stare at how the both of them are flirting like they aren't there. Moments later, everyone is inside the house having a conversation except for Lucinda. She's outside just staring at the beautiful night sky and the bright stars. Valentin asks Stefan how he and Lucinda met and how he ended up getting lost with her.
Stefan tells Valentin and Margaux what happened the very first day they met. He tells them that he was and is still wanted for stealing. He ends up running deep inside the forest and stumbles upon an old abandoned castle. It was crumbling and had no source of light inside. He tells them how he hid inside and met Lucinda. He soon finds out that Lucinda is a vampire who lives in this old castle. Valentin and Margaux start to get more interested in their story.
Margaux asks how they ended up getting lost together deep inside the forest. Stefan proceeds to tell the whole story of how the infantrymen found out where Lucinda's castle is located. At first, Lucinda managed to kill most of the infantrymen, but then more started to arrive and it was too much for Lucinda to handle. The only decision they both had was to make an escape. They ran far away and had to stay inside a cave. Valentin finally understands why the both of them ended up in the deep parts of the forest.
However, Stefan refrained from telling part of the story about how he looks exactly like Lucinda's late husband and how they both have the same name. The three of them continue to have a wonderful conversation. After a while, it starts to get late. Stefan, Valentin, and Margaux begin to feel drowsy. Lucinda is still outside not knowing that the three are about to end their discussion. Back at the house, Valentin shows Stefan his room. Stefan immediately slept as soon as he hit the bed. Valentin and Margaux enter their room as well. Lucinda stays outside for a bit to gaze at the wonderful stars and the night sky.
In a few moments, Lucinda decides to head back inside the house. Once she enters the house, she sees that the three are no longer talking with each other. She did not get to ask Valentin and Margaux where her room is. Lucinda enters Stefan's room to ask him if she can stay there when it's her turn to sleep. She enters Stefan's room and sees that Stefan is already asleep. She quietly approaches him and carefully wakes him up.
After a few attempts, Stefan finally wakes up and Lucinda asks him if she can sleep in the room when it's her turn. Stefan agreed and instantly went back to sleep. Lucinda leaves the room to give Stefan some privacy. Meanwhile, inside Valentin and Margaux's room, things start to get passionate.
Both of them start to unclothe. After undressing, they start to kiss with such erotic desire and they immediately start to make love. Their love making got so intense that the bed started to creak and loud moaning can be heard outside the room. Lucinda was shocked due to the noises coming from their room. The noise also woke Stefan up since it was so loud. It's like they're doing it on purpose.
Back in the room, both Valentin and Margaux show no signs of stopping soon. Valentin pins Margaux to the bed and they both continue their love making. The bed was shaking so much, and because it was against the wall, the noise of the bed shaking and moaning are even louder for Stefan since his room is right next to Valentin and Margaux's room. Stefan tried putting a pillow on his head to lessen the noise but it didn't work. Lucinda covers her ears and is annoyed about what's happening. This lasted for a long time. After making love, both Valentin and Margaux are exhausted and covered in sweat. They cuddle and start to fall asleep from exhaustion.
Stefan can finally sleep in peace, and Lucinda can now have a moment of silence. The next day, Valentin and Margaux wake up and start to dress. Stefan is now outside his room just sitting still. He did not have a good sleep last night due to the noise. Lucinda is currently sleeping in the room Stefan stayed in. It's a good thing Stefan covered the window with a tapestry he found in the room before Lucinda entered.
Valentin asks Stefan, "Good morning! How was your sleep?" Stefan doesn't know how to answer his question since he and Margaux were the reason he slept really late. "It was a unique experience." Stefan says. Valentin then says, "Well, you're both welcome to stay until you find a new place to stay in." Stefan thanks Valentin for his kindness. "Oh! I forgot to ask you a question last night." Valentin says. "How old are you and how old is Lucinda?" Stefan answers, "I'm seventeen, and I think she's two hundred twenty five years old?" Valentin is clearly surprised because Stefan is young and Lucinda is really old." Valentin then replies, "Wow, you are so young and she's really old. Well, I'm going to make some breakfast. I'll call you when it's ready." Stefan nods and Valentin leaves Stefan alone to prepare breakfast. Meanwhile, Margaux is outside picking apples from an apple tree to pass the time.
Back in Târgoviște, the governor and the Boyar are still discussing how the situation will be handled. They both want to exterminate Lucinda without the people knowing. Soon enough, the governor realizes there simply is no other way, but to send one thousand men into the forest to be led by Boyar Dimitru. This will not be taken lightly anymore as both the governor and the boyar are frustrated about the situation. Both of them are willing to take this risk as long as the people are safe.
