Mia:

The door opened loudly, and Tobias marched into the room, his face red, his eyes filled with anger. All of a sudden, I was grabbed by my neck, and I felt a hot breath on my ear, saying, "You wanted to run away so you can elope with Lucas?? Mia, was I too nice to you that you thought I would never get mad?"

His hold on my neck was strong. I had trouble breathing, but I didn’t dare to move or talk back until he was done; I wanted him to calm down, so I swallowed my fear and waited for him to continue... "Don't play with me Mia, there won't be a next time".

My fear started rising again, but the pain in my neck and the lack of oxygen were too much to bear, so I started pleading, with the little bit of oxygen I had left, "Tobias, I can't breathe; you will kill me!"

Suddenly his hold on my neck was looser, but he was still holding it, so I continued.. "Please let go, Tobias, don't worry; I will not try to get away again, so please let go of my neck".

He looked at me suspiciously, thinking for a moment, then reluctantly removed his hand from my neck, and pushed me onto the bed..

His jet black hair looked so silky; I wanted to go through it with my fingers; his golden brown eyes were so beautiful, and his face chiselled perfectly; how have I never noticed just how beautiful he is?

Feeling pain in my wrists, I snapped back to reality, realising my hands were still tied, so I asked if he could untie me. What he said next stung me in my heart...

"Why would I untie you? So you can again try to run to your lover? Or to again try the suicide act? DAMN! If you try to escape again.."

"I won't! I won't try to escape ever again, please believe me!" I begged him with a sincere tone in my voice. "Tobias, please untie me, it really hurts.."

He reluctantly untied me, never breaking eye contact with me.

When he freed me, I jumped and hugged him, surprising him and myself.. He froze, and all I could do was say, "Oh, thank god you're alive; I'm so glad to see you, so glad! Is this a dream? Please tell me it's real, that you are real!"

"What are you mumbling about, Mia? Do you have a fever?" Tobias asked, completely confused by my reaction. I pulled his tie towards me to kiss me when someone barged into the room.

I looked over his shoulder, and there I saw her.

Leah.

"What are you guys doing?? Mia, I cannot believe you are trying to seduce Tobias, so he lowers his guard, and you can escape with Lucas!" Leah said, pretending to be worried about Tobias.

I looked at her, remembering what she did to me in my 'past life'.

In an angry voice, I quietly said her name, venom leaking while pronouncing her name, but I was pushed away by Tobias, whose face turned from relaxed to yet again angry.

"So that was your plan? I can't believe I fell for it!"

I looked back at Leah; her face formed a worried look, with puppy eyes towards Tobias. No, I won't let her ruin my second chance in life so I smiled and said to her: "How is kissing my hubby be called seduction? Unlike you.."

I got up from the bed, walked towards her and pushed her away. She looked completely confused by my newfound confidence.

"Mia, your plan to escape and elope with Lucas has been exposed! Tobias, he.."

Slap!

I shut her up with a hard slap on her face, "Just shut up, Leah, stop pretending; I'm done with your bullshit".
