Hello! First, thank all of you for choosing this book. My name is Momo S. It's very nice to meet you! Lost Haven: Z is my first-ever book. Honestly, I'm nervous yet excited. As the series progresses, my writing style and art style will improve and provide you with the best reading experience I can give.
As for the story, prepare yourselves for a wild ride! This is only the beginning. I have many plans for the future of Zeke and all the members of Lost Haven. You'll learn about their backstories, backstory backstories, mysteries, and much more.
Everything in the world has Heka. Heka is translated to magic or magic powers. Most people in this story have heka, but some cannot produce it. Another way to get heka or strengthen heka abilities is to mix a potion together using herbs. You can find these specific herbs in a forest called the Raca Forest or Forest of Nothing. But mixing those herbs come at a cost. If done incorrectly, you can become cursed or even lose your life. Because of those dangerous herbs, the Great Council has deemed the forest forbidden for anyone to enter. Now the forest is known as the Forbidden Forest.
The main story follows the Lost Haven association. The Great Council created associations many years ago to help spread out all the incoming city requests. Each city has at least one association base in it to help and provide support to the city's residents. These associations are known as Dauntless associations, while the opposite is a Daunt association. Daunt associations create misery. For example, they illegally experiment on young kids with herbs from the Forbidden Forest. Many Daunt associations follow a belief that heka users are superior, and their goals are currently unknown.
Let’s discuss Zeke a little. Zeke’s background history is mainly unknown, but we know he has a little brother who disappeared into a body of water. We later learn that his brother's disappearance has something to do with the Forbidden Forest. We don't know why. Zeke’s ultimate goal is to find his brother. His current goal is to locate this Forbidden Forest (Raca Forest). We can assume Zeke has been to this forest many years ago. Is this where he obtained his black heka? What is black heka, anyways, and why is it illegal? A big question is what happened to Zeke and his brother. What are their backstories?

Preview of Volume Two
Several weeks have passed since the battle of Lost Haven at the Shadow Daunt base. A tall man with black hair and grey eyes that shine white fires a sage gun at a Daunt member killing him instantly.
“AH! Sir, please don’t!” A Daunt member pleads, terrified for his life.
“You continue to fail your missions. Maybe this will help motivate you.” The man with black hair says, bringing out the Daunts wife and two children.
“Silvia! Don’t you dare touch her!” The Daunt man says, firming, clenching his fist.
“Milo please…help me…” Silvia cries.
“You have to pick. Your wife? Your son? Or your infant?” The black-haired man says impatiently.
“You son of a bitch! I’LL KILL YOU ZERO-” Bang! The sage gun fires with no hesitation at Milo.
“AHH!! NOO!” Silvia screams as she stares at Milo’s lifeless body.
“Take the children back to the base.” The black-haired character who Milo claims to be named Zero demands. Two soldiers come in and take Milo’s children away.
“NO!! YOU CAN’T HAVE MY BABIES TOO!” Silvia screams. Bang! Bang! More shots are fired, and Silvia’s body falls to the ground.
“Sigh. I guess we’ll have to take a different approach then.” Zero steps over the couple’s corpses. He leaves the room displeased and prepares a new plan for his personal mission.
