Kai free falls to the Daunt base with no gear or protection. His blood is pumping, and he is ready to go and start a war. He laughs hysterically and yells,
“Here I come, little prey!” Crash! The roof of the Daunt base blows up like a bomb. Kai lands as if he’s a superhero, except that violence is the only thing on his mind.
At the time of Kai’s infiltration:
A group of Daunts is playing a game of cards until the roof starts to collapse.
“What the hell was that!” One Daunt yells.
“INTRUDER!!!” Another Daunt shouts.
All the Daunts are shocked and gather up weapons. An alarm goes off, signaling all the others around the base. Most of them head toward the crash site. What they see is unpleasant.
Kai raises his arm, pointing out all five fingers. Blue flames form as he slams his arm down quickly.
“FLAME SHOWER!” A heka circle forms above a group of the enemy.
Blue fire pours out like rain burning all the Daunts to the bone. All that is heard is screaming and screeching from the pain of Kai’s attack.
“AH! WHAT THE HELL! WHERE DID HE COME FROM?” The leader of Daunt yells, confused and not knowing how to approach this violent man.
“I’m your future nightmare!” Kai calls out to him, laughing. He runs to another group of Daunts and knocks them all back with his fire heka. The Daunts try to fight him off, but Kai dodges every one of their attacks. The rest of Team A drops down from the hole Kai put in the roof.
“Thanks for the element of surprise Kai,” Nora sarcastically says. She crosses her arms to her chest and throws them out to the enemy.
“Water Shredder!” She yells as multiple sharp edges of water heka are thrown. More screams of terror are coming from the Daunts as Team A takes them out one by one.
“Keep it up!” Cora says, encouraging his team. He contacts Team B through their radio.
“Team A has successfully infiltrated. Team B, you’re good to go!” Cora confirms to Team B. Owen and the rest patiently wait outside the Daunt base.
“Roger that, Cora,” Owen responds over the radio. “By the way, why did it take you a little longer to confirm Team A’s infiltration? We could hear Kai come in, but no one else?”
“Well, ugh- you see, sir.” Cora laughs nervously.
“That kid never learns. Good Job, Cora, keep ‘em busy for us.” Owen ends the radio call. Team B hides behind trees and bushes, scoping the area. They all kneel on the ground, looking at the guards for the opportunity to strike.
“There are intruders at the front. You two stay here. We’ll go back up the others.” One guard says, leaving only two guards to stand watch.
“You ready, Zeke?” Owen turns to Zeke, but he’s nowhere in sight. “Where did that kid go?” He says, looking around frantically.
“Of course, he ditches the mission. We can’t rely on him, Captain Owen!” Elliot says, annoyed.
“Um, guys?” Amina gets Owen and Elliot's attention. “Look!” She points to the area where the Guards are.
Zeke already took out the two guards and left the door open for the rest of Team B to enter.
“He is something else,” Owen laughs and walks to the door.
“When did he- ugh, okay,” Elliot says, confused.
Zeke finds the security room with ease and begins looking through the files.
“There’s nothing here, sigh. Where else can I look?” he questions, sitting at a desk. “This doesn’t look like a normal Daunt base. More like a science center. Guess Owen was right.” Team B catches up with Zeke in the security room.
“Do you know what it means to be stealthy? You can’t just sit there like it’s your home.” Elliot says, walking up to Zeke.
“Don’t mind me, Princess. I'm leaving anyway.” Zeke dismisses Elliot. He stands up and walks past Elliot. Owen looks at Zeke, confused.
“What do you mean you’re leaving? You’re already here might as well finish the mission, right? This is a science facility, after all.” Owen attempts to convince Zeke.
“I’ve already looked. There's nothing for me here.” Zeke says, disappointed. “I got you all in. You can get yourselves out.”

“Zeke, wait up!” Amina tries to go after him.
“Stop, Amina. Let him go,” Elliot demands. She stops in her tracks. “We have to put the prisoners first. He doesn’t care about anyone else anyway. You’ll only get in his way.”
Zeke walks through the door. BOOM! An explosion is triggered. Owen shelters his team from the bomb but misses Zeke.
“Did you think your obvious plan would work!” A mysterious man says, laughing in the shadows.
“ZEKE!” Amina yells desperately, extending her hand towards Zeke. The smoke begins to clear, and Zeke is nowhere to be found.
“You bastard!” Elliot yells, looking around for the unknown man.
“Don’t worry, Zeke is much more skilled than most people,” Owen says confidently. “Elliot, I need you and the others to open those prison doors now! After you're done, get everyone out of here as fast as possible.”
“Sir, but what about you and Zeke?”
Zeke appears behind the mysterious man in the corner of the room and kicks him out into the open.
“You don’t need to worry about us. We’ll be fine,” Owen smiles, trying to reassure Elliot.
“Alright, Team B, follow me!” Elliot says hesitantly. “You guys better make it back in time!” Elliot and Team B leave without Zeke and Owen.
“How did you see me back there? Well, it doesn't matter. I’ll use you for my experiments either way.” The mysterious man says with a crazy look. He has shoulder-length wild white hair, gold colorful eyes, and is covered in blood, not his.
“What do you know about the Raca Forest!” Zeke says bluntly to the mystery man.
So straightforward, Zeke. But this guy is dressed like a scientist. I wonder… Owen thinks to himself.
“That’s none of your concern right now,” the mysterious man responds as he jumps towards Zeke. He makes a fist and goes for a punch. An unknown heka circle is formed behind Zeke. Zeke jumps back, blocking the man's punch but hits the circle.
“AHH! My body, why does it feel weak? What kind of heka does he use?” Zeke kneels to the ground from the pain the unknown heka caused him.
Owen bends his left arm towards his chest, making a closed fist, then pushes his arm straight out, extending all five fingers.
“Air Burst!” he yells. Boom! Boom! Boom! Three air explosions go off toward the enemy. The unknown man dodges the first explosion but is hit by the last two.
“OUCH! That hurt you, little shit!” he shouts, trying to run away from Owen. Owen uses Air Burst again. Boom! Boom! Boom! The unknown man barely dodges. Owen ends up behind him and punches him with the strength of a category-three hurricane. The unknown man flies across the room, slamming into the wall.
“I’m not done with you yet,” Owen sprints towards him. He grabs the unknown man's shirt and demands, “Tell us your name!”
“You wanna know more about me? Haha,” the unknown man says jokingly. “I’m Shura, this facilities scientist.” He conjures a heka circle on Owen's back. “50% Depletion!”
“Owen, watch out!” Zeke rushes over to Owen. Boom! An explosion erupts on Owen's back.
“Hahahahahaha, you should see the look on your face! You really thought I could be defeated that easily?” Shura mocks the two. Owen grunts in pain but manages to get on his feet.
“Owen, are you?” Zeke asks worriedly.
“I’ll be fine, kid. Just watch your back with this one.”
“It looks like he can deplete a person's health by touching them. He can even use explosions to decrease one's health even more. I just have to keep my distance,” Zeke says quietly.
“Looks like someone has a brain,” Shura admires.
“Looks like someone’s losing a brain,” Zeke responds, holding his right arm out.
“Crystallize!”
He yells as sharp crystal-like objects appear behind Shura. Zeke pulls his arm toward his chest with a closing fist, and the crystals pull toward Shura simultaneously. Crash! Shura ducks and evades Zeke’s attack. Then, he rushes toward Zeke with a hand reaching out to touch him. Zeke closely dodges by leaning back. Zeke smirks. Shura is right above him. Zeke raises his arms to his chest, palms out, and pushes them forward.
“Crystal Demolition!” Boom! Boom! Boom! Explosion crystals form around Shura. He takes the hits head-on and groans in pain.
“Cough, Cough. Oh, you’ll make a fine specimen,” Shura says, panting and smiling at Zeke, blood dripping down his face.
“What do you know about the Raca Forest!” Zeke throws more crystalized sharp daggers toward Shura. Shura jumps and quickly dodges all of them.
“Zeke, stop messing with him!” Owen shouts. Shura turns his attention to Owen.
“You’re still breathing, I see.” He runs towards Owen.
“Are you going to focus your personal goals over the mission? Over people’s lives!” Owen yells to Zeke.
“I only came for this answer, Owen! You know that!” Zeke distracts Owen with that selfish answer.
“I thought you were better than that,” Owen says with a disappointed look.
Shura attempts to tackle the distracted Owen. Owen moves to the left and dodges him. Zeke forms a crystal wall between Shura and Owen.
“Now Slam!” Zeke slams his hands down, and the crystal wall pushes Shura through the floor. The impact causes the entire room to collapse onto the bottom floor. The three men free fall.
“25% Depletion,” Shura says quietly while touching Owen, depleting more of his health. At this moment, Owen has a total of 75% health depleted from Shura’s attacks. He is in critical health and on the verge of losing his life. Slam! The three hit the ground hard, knocking Owen out cold.
