"How did you find the Dire Wolf Den?" I ask.
"Nazrat's Dark Fae Bear followed a scent of a dozen three-week-old Dire Wolf Pups playing outside their den. We brought them down here after scouting the remaining Den for Nazrat," Lock-On informed. He then pointed at a group of Hunter Caste Imps, handing the pups over to the Tamer Caste Imps, who came to inspect them.
"We also found some kind of blood ritual circle with intricate patterns etched into the cold stone floor and the skeletal remains of a human with a skull that belongs to a Dire Wolf," Lock-On informed.
"A Werewolf? Is that a species in Arya?" I asked, and Timun came up behind me to answer it.
"I never heard of that word before, even though I can understand its meaning. But we found the storage pendant within its remains," Lock-On replied.
"Were you able to guess when the Werewolf died?" I ask.
"Around a hundred years ago," Lock-On informs.
Timur arrives at the back of Heracles.
"What are you both talking about?" Timun asks.
I share with him everything Lock-On found.
"I recall tales of a Summoner called Gopa who combined Humans and Beasts through blood rituals. The past Kings of Falar had him hunt down the remnants of the Monster Hunter Clans that rid Arya of all its major threats. I am not sure why the Falar Kings wanted to get rid of them, but there is a Tavern tale of how Gopa met his end when the progeny of his abominations escaped his summoner control and devoured him." Timun revealed.
"Did the King of Falar know about these eggs?" I ask.
"I don't think so, or the Falar Army would have scoured every inch of Arya for them. I am sure he will open his vault to get his hands on these Eggs." Timun informs.
"Timun, you are a Hidden Skill Monster Trader. Can you find out if these eggs have some?" I request.
"Would you like me to appraise them? Even though the winged brethren are extinct in the Overworld, Griffins in the Underworld still do not have wings on their backs." Timun explained before taking out the three Ancient Black Griffin eggs to study them.
"Well, to start, all three are females. They inherited their father's affinity for Shadowmancy and Pyromancy. By consuming Shadow and Fire Elemental Cores, they can Rank Up. Their resistance to Shadowmancy and Pyromancy spells will increase by 10% with each Rank, and the strength of their elemental magic will also increase by 10%. Since their father shape-shifted from a Human into a Monster, they can transform into Humans while retaining their Griffin heads and wings. They will be able to inherit the memories of the one who hatches them and be soul-linked to them, with the exception mentioned in the letter," Timun revealed, his eyes gleaming with excitement.
"Do you know why that condition was placed on them?" I ask.
"Well, since their mother saw a future vision where they would meet the reincarnated Black Phoenix. Their purpose is to help him create a new Empire. Since they are all female, I guess they can raise a new army of Griffins for him," Timun reasoned.
"Does that mean Dale has to mate with them to get more Griffins?" I ask.
The thought disgusted me.
"Dale, who?" Timun asked.
I informed Timun about Dale Falar and how he awakened the Black Phoenix Curse in him by manipulating Phil Sin of the Heroes Church. I also added the battle between them in the Dungeon on the first day of my life in Arya.
"Then, the mother of these eggs did see the future. To answer your question, I doubt Dale shares more than 1% of his blood with his ancestor, while these three will share 50% with their father. They have a skill that will allow them to mate with Animals, Elemental Beasts and Monsters who possess wings. The breeding skill needs to reach Bronze rank before it can be unlocked. I'm sure it was meant to help them create a new army of Griffins. Either to revive their race in Arya or to serve the Black Phoenix like the Griffins of the past. That shouldn't be your main concern." Timun pointed out.
"Would they try to seek Dale out if they know about him?" I ask.
"I can't be sure," Timun replied.
"Could I make them sign a Mana Contract not to seek him out or defect?" I ask.
"Well, I wouldn't risk trying to find out. I urge you not to hatch these three eggs. But they are worth a lot if you sell them through the Triplets to the King of Falar. That way, you can profit, and they won't be able to betray you." Timun points out.
"But won't they increase Dale's combat power and be used against me?" I point out.
"Yes, they will. That's why destroying or keeping them inside their eggs is the other option." Timun reasoned.
As I pondered the decision, a sense of unease washed over me. The thought of denying the chance to be born and fulfill their destiny felt unsettling.
"Even though they can be used against me one day, I am willing to have Redrock sell them to the Falar King. But what can I ask in return?" I ask.
"Hmm... You need a variety of rare Monsters for your Monster Breeding Farm, right? Have the Triplets exchange them for rare Monster Eggs or Monsters. I am sure the Falar King can arrange it. Redrock can store them in Time Capsules and deliver them to you. Just let him keep one or two as compensation," Timun suggested.
"That's a great idea! By the way, why did you come up here?" I ask.
"Baifun, my Monster Bat is on his way here. I want to go outside to receive him." Timun informed.
"How do you know that?" I ask.
"When my Bat monsters come within 10 KM, I can sense their emotions and simple thoughts. Right now, he is expressing excitement and is hungry for food. Will you spare some for him?" Timun asked.
The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
"Of course! Lock-On, bring a hoverchest with food." I instruct.
Timun, Lock-On, and I exited the Dungeon and stepped into a land where all the trees had been felled, leaving only stumps and roots behind. In the distance, I watched birds fly into the sky and trees fall one after another like dominoes. Harkin had been collecting tree trunks for four hours, and the sky was beginning to transition from dark to light.
"HARKIN!" I yelled.
The felling of trees stopped, and Harkin rushed to meet me at the Dungeon entrance with his Hover Chest.
"Lord! Why are you outside?" Harkin asked, and I informed the reason.
"How many trees have you harvested so far?" I ask.
"Twelve trees per minute, I'm afraid. It has been three hours since then, and only 2160 trees." Harkin informed and presented the Hover Chest, which contains the harvested resource.
"I am satisfied with this until nightfall to get the rest. By the way, did you see the Sin Imps?" I ask.
"Look, there they are," Harkin said, pointing his stone sword at two large creatures slowly descending the mountain. Nazrat's Holy Unicorn Helmet glowed in the dark with the White scale armor on the Dark Fae Bear. I couldn't see Forge and Yolo from this distance, but I am sure they must be riding on the back of the mount.
"Baifun is here!" Timun announced.
I saw Baifun descending from the dark sky to land next to Timun and licking his bald head.
"Did you deliver it?" Timun asked, and the Monster Bat nodded with his huge head. "Good Baifun! Did they give back a letter?"
Baifun raised his neck to show the message capsule magnetically attached to his collar. Timun opened it and read the letter, written in a unique, encrypted language that Timun had created. I noticed the message was as lengthy as Timun had sent them.
"40 of 53 Hindgar's Dwarves in Falar accepted the invitation. They will bring 50 Mana Crystals and 5 Golem Recipes they have on them. But they felt compelled to share the invite with their close friends among the new refugee Dwarves who have been abused by the Humans of Falar like them. An additional 120 voiced their willingness to recognize me as their Primarch if I can provide them a better life." Timun informed.
"That's fine. But are you sure the ones who remained behind won't leak the invite to the Humans?" I ask.
"I am sure the one who read the letter would have made a Mana Contract that forbade it with the penalty of death since such a betrayal could risk all our lives," Timun informed.
"Good! Will they reach here by noon?" I ask.
"They are only an hour away," Timun revealed.
"So fast?" I was stunned.
"I sent out Baifun and his companions around 9 hours ago. Falar was the closest, so the Dwarves had enough time to inform those willing to join us. They decided to leave at midnight while most of the city was asleep. Two dozen Dwarves, among the new refugees, have been working as horse-driven cargo drivers for the farmers of Falar. They transport all the produce from the farms in the countryside to the city markets. The carriages were emptied and loaded with the Dwarves, who accepted my invitation. After they left the town, they released Baifun to bring me back the message of a successful escape," Timun explained.
"Won't the city guards find it suspicious if a thousand Dwarves leave at night?" I ask.
"It's normal for Dwarves to operate at night to avoid disturbing the human residents with their sight and smell. Most of the Mushroom farmers carry out Human and Horse shit from the city to the dense forest a few kilometers away from the city to grow the Underworld mushrooms to sustain themselves. The Human guards are used to it and won't inspect the carriages to avoid the bad smell. So I assume they carried a lot of shit with them to escape the city without notice." Timun explained.
"Doesn't the smell of shit affect a Dwarf's nose?" I ask.
"We can cancel out the odors we don't want to smell and pick those we want to. That's how we can smell stones, minerals and crystals." Timun explained.
By this time, the Sin Imps reached our location.
"High Chief! We found a way to bring the mountain down from within!" Nazrat announced.
"Where?" I ask.
"The Dire Wolf Den consisted of connected tunnels that led to several sealed gas chambers, which could be ignited to cause a huge explosion, which would cause the mountain to collapse," Forge answered.
"How does it have that?" I ask.
"Yolo believes this mountain used to be a giant volcano that was forced into dormancy by the force of ancient magic. The magic is long gone, and the seal that is stopping the Volcano from erupting again can be blown up with 500 Exploding Pine Cones." Forge informed.
"Wait! Did the previous Dungeon Lord not know this?" I ask.
"From our ancestor's memories, he didn't bother studying what's in it or what's on top of it. We climbed to the top to see what was there and found an ancient ruin within it. Someone had built a statue there, but it was damaged, and the head was missing. The Dark Fae Bear sniffed and dug out a Golden chest buried underneath it. When we opened it, we found an Orc Soul figurine and a beast skin scroll with a message." Forge revealed this before pulling them out of the Dark Fae Bear's scales, which could store small items.
Forge handed both of them for me to study. Surprisingly, the Orc Soul figurine has the same design as the ones from the Warcraft universe. Except this one had white skin, with red tattoos covering its entire body, similar to Kratos from God of War Games. But it held no weapon or armor—only a loin cloth to cover his private area.
[Primal Orc Soul]
"My Dungeon Lord ability calls it a 'Primal Orc.'" I informed everyone, and I got a reaction from Timun.
"The Orcs who directly served the Fae were blessed with an affinity for Fae Magic, like the Dark Fae Bear. However, they lost their affinity for it after they switched allegiance to the Dragons." Timun informed.
I then unrolled the beast skin roll, and the interface said it was untranslatable since I hadn't learned the language. But Timun leaned in to peek at the message and seemed stunned.
"That's Orcish!" Timun said out loud.
"Can you read it?" I ask.
"Though Orcs were driven to near extinction in Arya, the Underworld and the other continents have many Orc tribes. Since they are too stupid to learn any other language, learning Orcish is the only way to communicate with them outside of battle." Timun revealed it, and I gave him the scroll.
"To the one who has desecrated this shrine, know that it was dedicated to the Kogan, the last White Orc who refused to side with the Dragons during the Dominion War for Artrea. In this chest lies his Soul figurine, which can only be resurrected through Fae Magic. Honor his sacrifice, and he will serve his new master well." Timun translated.
Wow, an Orc on the side of the Fae?
"Meaning Necromancy Spells or turning him into a Golem won't work?" I ask.
"No. Maybe we should ask the Triplets for help." Timun suggests.
[When you gained the title of 'The Imp Dungeon Core Lord, ' it gave you the Imp summoner affinity]
[Though they can't use Fae-Magic, they are still part of the Fae family. So summoning an Imp must be Fae-Magic]
[I have gained knowledge about the Imp evolution tree following the upgrade. The Imps you create through this method will be able to unlock their skills from their past life, just like the Golems who remember their past. Take Harkin as a prime example. They can also access evolution tree branches that combine their previous form with an Imp. In this case, the Imp will eventually regain its Orc body with some Imp features]
[If the Soul does not state the class clearly, then it is up to you to decide, but I recommend the Mage Caste because of his Fae Magic affinity]
[They reproduced naturally, but the Dungeon Core can create a mature Imp immediately at the cost of a Soul and Mana Crystals]
[5 Mana Crystals for one Clay Rank Imp of any Caste]
"Alright! I must return to the Dungeon to summon this one as a minion." I inform Timun.
"As a Golem?" Timun asks, and I share what I learned from Rachel.
"That's incredible! But I urge you not to do that to any Dwarf Soul. Only Golem rebirth is acceptable to me and my kind." Timun pointed out.
"Of course! You three return with me to the Dungeon to collect the exploding pine cones. After the Dwavres from Falar arrive, you will begin the mountain demolition operation." I instruct.
"I will remain here to receive my new subjects," Timun informed.
"I will wait with you. I can't wait to show off my new War Golem body," Harkin replied.
