"I won it all fair and square!"
The Builder's voice echoed through the hall as he shouted back at the imposing Kinght, who stood at a towering height of seven feet. His heavy plate armor, complete with a shield, bore the Black Phoenix emblem, the symbol of the Royal Family of the Falar Kingdom. The attire has a flowing black cape from Shadow Fabric attached to the shoulder plate armor. The Knight's helmet is shaped like a hawk, with a sharp beak protruding menacingly. Despite the Kingsman's terrifying facial appearance, the Builder remained defiant.
"Your dice are loaded because you refuse to use another. Give back my money and Sword, or I will throw you into a cell with the criminals!" The Knight yelled.
I noticed Builder was holding a long, feather-shaped sword with a red metal blade resembling a bird's feather. I took a second to study its details.
[Red Flame Feather Long Sword: Iron Rank
The Sword's wielder can ignite the blade with Mana through the hilt. The flames created by the Mana can harm and kill Spirits. Additionally, the Sword is waterproof and can self-repair if damaged.
The Sword can increase its rank by being fed Fire Elemental Cores.
Base ATK: 1500
Mana Powered ATK: 3000
MP Cost: 100 per 10 seconds
Rank Up Requirements for Steel: 100 Fire Elemental Cores (15/100)]
Damn! That's a fantastic sword! But I must stop the Knight from throwing my Golem into jail.
I rushed to stand in between the Builder and the Knight.
"Boss! This guy thinks I cheated when I didn't even use my lucky catchphrase!" Builder swore.
He was implying that he didn't use the Dice's unique ability. The fight must have been because his regular rolls had consistent wins.
"Why are so many Dwarves popping up?" The Knight asked with surprise, seeing yet another one.
"Sir Rolo, would you like me to find the truth to resolve this dispute?" Blackrock interrupted, catching the Knight's attention. The crowd parted to allow the Black Market Agent to approach the Knight at the center.
"Blackrock, I trust your ability! I urge you to ask whether this Dwarf cheated!" Sir Rolo ordered with unwavering conviction.
Blackrock nodded and then turned toward Builder to ask the question.
"Did you cheat in any way?" Blackrock asked Builder.
I quickly whispered in English to Builder what he should say. The locals of this world wouldn't understand the language I spoke in my past life.
"If cheating means having luck on my dice rolls, then I am guilty of being too lucky!" Builder answered.
"I detect no falsehood in his response," Blackrock informed Sir Rolo.
"Ask him if that Bone Dice has been tampered in his favor." Sir Rolo ordered, and Blackrock complied.
I whisper again in English to Builder, and he nods his head to me.
"Is it wrong to use Dice blessed with luck from the divine to aid my games? Do none of you wish for luck to roll the Dice in your favor as I did?" Builder asked the crowd.
"He speaks the truth!" Blackrock informed everyone.
The other players in the Gambler's Den moaned as they returned to their tables to continue playing, knowing they could not get their money back after the verdict.
I thought Sir Rolo would be furious. Instead, he seems relieved and a bit sad.
"I have lost to divine luck! I will not hold a grudge against you since it is God's will for you to have it. At least I still have the schematic to create a new Sword before the Landsmeet. Though I wish I still had the money to get the materials and pay the smith, it would dishonor my King if I show up without it!" Sir Rolo said to Builder. I think he was hoping for some mercy.
"Then you shouldn't have bet on it." Builder pointed out, and I slapped his back to make him stop.
"Hold on! Did you say you have a schematic for your Sword?" I ask the Knight.
"Yes, why do you ask?" Sir Rolo asked.
"May I have a look at it? We can exchange it for your money and your Sword if it is useful to me." I reply.
Sir Rolo looks to Builder to see if he agrees since he is holding onto the Knight's chips and Sword.
"I will do what the Boss says!" Builder says to Sir Rolo.
"Very well. I happen to carry it in my Pendant. Here it is!" Sir Rolo said as he touched his chest plate mail. The Pendant hidden beneath the armor shines through and materializes a scroll in the Knight's hand. He gives it to me to inspect.
[Flame Feather Long Sword Schematic
The Master Smith, Heron Sadar, spent years studying the intricate details of a feather that had fallen from a young Phoenix. Inspired by the feather's ethereal beauty and magical properties, he painstakingly crafted this Sword's Schematic.
This content has been misappropriated from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.
When Mana is inserted into the blade through the handle made from Mana Wood, it ignites the Sword into a blazing inferno, with flames capable of damaging and killing spirits.
Furthermore, the Sword is entirely waterproof, making it ideal for battles in aquatic settings. It also possesses the almost unbelievable ability to restore itself if damaged, making it an invaluable asset to any warrior who values durability and power.
Material Cost: 10 Iron Ingots, 5 Silver Ingots, 1 Gold Ingots, 1 Mana Wood, and 1 Elemental Core of any type.

After I checked the details, I thought this schematic was worth more than the Sword and whatever money Builder got from Sir Rolo. I instructed him to return the Knight's gambling chips and accepted the Blueprint. Some other gamblers who lost to Builder looked on miserably, and some looked angry enough to try to take it back if given the opportunity.
"Thank you for saving my honor! Now, it's time for me to get some sleep before dawn. Goodbye," Sir Rolo said before exchanging the gambling chips for coins and leaving the Gambler's Den.
"How much did you earn from the other gamblers?" I asked out of curiosity.
"100 Gold Coins and 1000 Silver Coins!" Builder replied with a proud tone in his voice.
"How did you get that much?" I ask.
"They thought I was easy pickings and couldn't wait to take turns trying their luck against me. So the winnings just kept piling up. That's when Sir Rolo saw I had the best winning streak. He challenged me for it all, and you saw what happened when I won against him," Builder explained.
Blackrock came to my side to give a warning.
"Your colleague has attracted too much attention for us to slip away into the night without notice. They are waiting for him to exchange the Gambling chips and leave this place. They want the coins and the lucky dice he has on him." Blackrock pointed out.
"How do we get out of here, Boss?" Builder asked me.
I looked at the crowd, who were stealing serious glances at us from their tables, and felt the pressure. But they tried to avoid looking at the Blackrock. Then I had an idea.
"Blackrock, can we go back down? I need to ask some things in private." I request.
Blackrock nods and then guides us both to the table in the basement, where we can talk again without fear of being heard.
"What can I get from you for 100 Gold Coins and 1000 Silver Coins?" I ask.
"Generally, I don't trade in small exchanges. But since the crowd upstairs will come after you for it, I will make an exception. For 100 gold, I can give you a Storage Pendant like Sir Rolo's one. It can store objects that weigh up to 1000 KG.
"I will take that!" I answered without hesitation. It will make it easier for my Golems to carry things outside the Dungeon without dragging a Hover Chest everywhere.
"Would you like any Spell Scrolls for 1000 Silver?" Blackrock offered.
"What are Spell Scrolls? Are they similar to a Spelltome?" I ask with excitement.
"I see you're interested in acquiring a Spelltome. Unfortunately, they are precious and cannot be obtained with Gold or Mana Crystals. However, I have some Spell Scrolls available that you might find useful. Powerful mages have created these scrolls, which can be used to cast a basic spell requiring only a small amount of Mana. Once the spell has been cast, the scroll will burn up and cannot be used again," explained Blackrock.
He brought one out from his storage ring as an example. The scroll is quite old and has a design of a human skull wrapped in flames. It is covered in ancient writing that I cannot understand. Fortunately, I can see all its details through the interface.
[Body Burn!
This spell generates a fireball similar in shape to an adult human skull. Once you select a single enemy, the fireball will launch and explode upon impact. The target will be engulfed in flames for 10 seconds. It will continuously take burn damage, provided it is not underwater]
"Woah! Do you have something similar that freezes a target?" I ask.
"One that freezes enemies solid, one that paralyzes them with electricity, one that blinds them, and another that immobilizes them with Earth. Their effects will last for 10 seconds." Blackrock explained.
"Give me two of each! Oh, what will you offer me for the Lucky Dice?" I ask.
"I didn't think you'd be willing to sell it to me," Blackrock pointed out.
"It's either sell it to the one who no one here will touch or get hunted for it. Is it worth a Spelltome?" I ask.
"To determine its value, we need to play a few games. I know what your colleague said is true, but I must see it for myself," said Blackrock.
"Understandable!" I acknowledge.
We played over a dozen games for an hour until Blackrock was convinced of its value. I then confirmed his assessment by explaining its description and its unique ability.
"These Dice are worth more than the Common to Rare Spelltomes you will find in the library of a Mage Tower. I believe it is worth one from the Super-Rare category of Spelltomes. I have one that teaches Chimeramancy. This magic fuses souls and bodies to create a new being with multiple heads and limbs. However, the spells will require a large pool of Mana from the one who uses it." Blackrock explains as he rubs the Lucky dice in his hands.
Whether it's the legendary Hydra from Greek mythology, the terrifying King Ghidorah from Godzilla, the ferocious watchdog Cerberus from the underworld, or the divine multi-headed and multi-limbed figures from Hinduism, creating and controlling such creatures with my Golems is very appealing.
"I will take it!" I declare, and Blackrock stores the Lucky Dice in his storage ring.
"Boss, it could have still been useful!" pleaded Builder.
"Unlike gambling addicts, I know when to quit! Finding an expensive Spelltome won't be easy, and I doubt they will be as powerful as this one!" I reasoned.
Blackrock stands up from his seat and strides across the basement toward a wooden crate. His hands deftly open it, revealing a small but ornate Storage Pendant. He carefully retrieves it and transfers the Spell Scrolls and the Ancient Spell Tome for Chimeramancy.
Once the transfer is done, Blackrock returns to the table where I am waiting. With a gentle touch, he places the Pendant over my head, and it settles comfortably around my neck. I tuck it under the folds of the Shadow Cloak so that no one can notice it.
I focus my mind, and I mentally command the Sword Schematic, gifted to me by Sir Rolo, to go into the storage pendant. It disappears, and I feel satisfied knowing my valuable possessions are safe and secure. I ordered the Builder to hand over all the gambling chips he won to Blackrock, who casually counted them.
"Alright, you should get inside that large crate while I go to the warehouse to load the Imps onto my carriage. Then I will return to pick you both up and head to the Dungeon," Blackrock instructed.
The Builder is surprised that Blackrock knows about the Dungeon, but he stays quiet until we both get inside the crate. We waited until Blackrock left the basement before I explained in English why he had to know about the Dungeon.
The Builder's voice was laced with concern as he said, "What if the man decides to sell us to the Falar King?" Builder asks.
"I doubt Blackrock would be a Black Market Agent if his word isn't worth a damn. I will demonstrate the advantages of establishing a long-term trade relationship with us. Plus, I like his ability to detect lies. That is a useful skill to have on our side." I explain.
