Looks like the core meld is complete. Now all I have to do is wait a bit for the gestation to be finished. Luckily the red was the one to survive. I think I should even out the numbers a bit more to allow for consecutive experiments.
Looks like it's happening. The core is shrinking while extruding a gray blob within the red slime. Any time now it should be extruded from its membra..
Both Slimes are now dead. Looks like the internal pressure caused both the old and new cores to get crushed. What a waste of life. I completely forgot what I even brought all these alchemy ingredients for. I guess my excitement made me overlook my logical process. Oh well.
Okay Lets try this again with proper preparations. By the way I should mention the only reason why I was allowed to make this trip was because the cheapness of the materials. Let me tell you at most I have only thirty sets of standard high grade alchemy ingredients. The Dean told me any other expenses could only be received with gold earned from my own talents. Anyway I had to use about half a set to make one dose of Water Skin. then the other half was used to allow absorption through the membrane. I was expecting to need to use two sets for the potion so it was a good surprise. Still, I need to go to that nearby town sooner or later.
Okay , looks like everything's going well. Unfortunately the red died this time. I need to get more by tomorrow. Now I’ll poor on the Water Skin potion at the beginning of the process.
Looks like I messed up again. I guess the extra hardness caused by the Condensidosi slowed the absorption process of the Water Skin. I’ll have to use one more set of alchemy ingredients.
Okay the process has started. The blue survived again meaning i’m out of Red Slimes. This time i’ll have to apply it shortly before the core starts to form the new body. I’ll update the log when it's finished.
Looks like it's my first success. I decided instead of risking applying the Water Skin to early, I would just use a half of another alchemy set to speed up the absorption process. All in all it worked and I've produced my first Gray Slime. Here’s the Log.

This guy's core can sell for a good amount of gold due to its resistance properties. If you didn’t know most low to mid tier armor or weapons are imbued with the essence of a Slime core. Things like attributes and elemental damage/resistance is given by the cores farmed by adventurers. There was also a big rumor that the SSS ranked Goliath Combination Slime Core was used in the creation of a God tier weapon. After that rumor began many people started to research Slimes like I am, however overtime many gave up. even the slime research center in the academy gave up after having no results over the course of about three years or so. I was too young to join before it shut down, however my brother kept telling me about all these cool ways the Slimes evolved. The only problem they had was the ability to recreate the effects.
Anyway this was a great achievement. I think it's time for me to pack up for the night. I’ll have to feed the Slimes, then I guess i’ll go to bed.

Day 5
Lucky me. Today I found a rare slime type on the outside of the cave. I managed to find a Spiked Rock Slime. Though it's not likely to find any Item types other than Rock and Moss Slimes near the mouth of the cave, finding a Spiked variant is a good deal. This guy's core should fetch me enough to buy another high grade alchemy set. I won’t be selling him, but the option’s there. Anyway here’s the list of what Slimes I have.
Blue Slime x13
Red Slime x9
Moss Slime x5
Rock Slime x4 + Spiked Rock Slime x1
Gray Slime x1
All in all a decent pull. For starters i'm going to make a few more gray Slimes so I can sell their cores later.
Here’s the Log.

I'm down to a total of twenty three alchemy sets. Still plenty for now. All of the experiments have succeeded so far. In total I have four gray Slimes. That should be enough for them to start mating on their own so I guess i’ll start on attempting a combination type using the same method.
I’ll start up using the Moss Slime and Stone Slime.
So the Moss Slime was the survivor. The process is taking much longer than expected.
It looks like the attributes of the slime dictates the time taken in order for the Gestation process to complete. I should probably start tracking the time taken for each slime. Hey that rimed.
I think it was a success. Somehow I’ve managed to make an Item Type Slime different from my original expectation. The original idea was to make a Mossy Stone Slime. There’s not much use for these, however it was more of a proof of concept. Anyway it turned out to be some kind of strange green rock slime. I’ve never seen any document with these similar characteristics. After a few test i’ll record the results.
While I wasn't expecting much it's still a bit disappointing to not find anything useful. Here’s the results.
Rock Moss Slime - Item Type: Slime That's body is composed of soft green rocks that grow at the pace of Moss. Holds a small amount of Regeneration Essence. Reproduction method unknown. Core use unknown.
It's a basic explanation, i'm not going to finish the last two categories until I can reproduce the Rock Moss Slime in larger numbers. I’m going to work on a few more experiments with the Mossy and Rock type Slimes.
The Rock Slime survived.
So this time the result was a Mossy Stone slime. Maybe the offspring has to do with the parent type. I’ll just log the results for the next few tests.

The last experiment was an odd one. After the past while of testing and only seeing results of the rock winning the encounter, I was ecstatic when the moss overpowered The Rock Slime. The problem was when the core started to Change color some green rocks started to form outside the core before it suddenly exploded sending sharp green stones outside of its body. My tent suffered some small injury from the rocks, however other then that there was no damage to the equipment. I think I should start placing barriers around the test subjects next time.
After further examination of the stones gathered from the failed core, they are many times more dense than the stones found on the Rock Moss Slime. Nothing of use, but still an interesting fact.
I think I should go back to the Slime cave in order to gather more Rock Slimes for my experiments. Maybe I should just find a good amount of each and let them breed on their own. I should have just enough time to do one more cave run.
Here’s my total results.
Blue Slime x20
Red Slime x14
Moss Slime x9
Rock Slime x7 + Spiked Rock Slime x1
Rock Moss Slime x1
Mossy Rock Slime x4
Gray Slime x4
It was a big hull this time. I’ll be continuing this log after I get some rest.
