When Relic's group was finally done with the training their instructor gave them they all knew the basics about each others techniques. Relic used a large sword and light armor and dealt massive damage with every attack while avoiding everything coming back at him. Frankie used a hammer. It was shorter than Relic's sword but it was still large and was great at destroying armor since all of the weight was in the head. Both Charlotte and same wore full armor with short swords and round shields. They fought by blocking all attacks with their shields and using quick slashes to tire their opponents out.

Now that they knew each others fighting styles they had to prove their bravery and ability to fight with each other. This time they went straight to wolves and started fighting packs of them. Charlotte and Sam would stay in the front and stop the wolves charge and then Frankie and Relic would attack from the side and finish the wolves off in one shot. If too many wolves were attacking then Frankie and Relic would throw fist sized rocks at the wolves. They didn't kill the wolves unless they hit them right in the eye or temple but they would break legs or ribs easily enough. They killed a few packs of wolves, but soon decided that they were too weak to test their teamwork or strength.

They decided to move onto hob-goblins at night. Hobgoblins are between levels thirty and forty so unless they worked together it would be difficult to kill them. Frankie went out to make sure the area was safe while Charlotte, Sam, and Relic fought the first hobgoblin which was a guard. It had a poorly made shield as well as leather body armor and a wooden spear. Sam and Charlotte attacked the Hobgoblin from the side while Relic came at it from the front. while he approached he threw rocks anywhere it wasn't protected by a shield to distract it. Once they got to it, all three of them attacked at the same time. Relic had to jump to the side to dodge the spear, but Charlotte and Sam both got cuts on the underside of its arms. It tried to spin around and attack Sam and Charlotte, but doing so allowed Relic to use a strong attack. He swung the sword with his entire body. He planted his feet, twisted his hips and shoulders and straightened his elbows. His sword hit the hobgoblin on its side and went straight through its leather armor. As well as doing massive damage, the strike stunned the hobgoblin and allowed all three of them to attack it at once and finish it off.

They continued working as a team and killing hobgoblins for the week before returning back to the Knights training center. The next day, their instructor took all of them and said

"Now that you have proven that you have the will to fight monsters and the ability to work as a team, we will begin working on giving you the strength that is necessary for one to be a knight. Now follow me to take the first step in the journey to strength."

As soon as he said that he walked off quickly leading them into the knights training center. When they got there they walked into a back room. At first glance it the room seemed to be one that was used for storage, but after a few seconds in the room they all knew it was more than an empty storage room. while they were all trying to decide what was wrong with the room, the instructor spoke saying

"This room contains the most important factor for determining your future as a knight. Now, are all of you ready to gain the strength to be a knight

there was a moment of silence before the instructor spoke again saying

"well i guess that means you are."

As soon as he said that he walked over and pulled a box out of a secret panel in the wall. The box was made of plain brown wood, but as soon as it was brought out the strange feeling they were all feeling got stronger.

"now" the instructor said the instructor as he opened the box revealing three gems set into the inner wood.

" i want each of you to try and manipulate what is inside the gem with the blue mist"

Frankie was first, but no matter what he did the mist inside the gem seemed to swirl just as it was despite his efforts. Next was Charlotte. She walked up to the gem placed her hand on it scrunched up her face in concentration. A second or so after she did that the mist seemed to congeal and grow brighter. Relic went after Charlotte. He just walked up to the gem and thought stop as strongly as he could and when he did he got the same effect Charlotte did as well as a skill window

The next gem was filled was a clear gem that had something in it like the first, but this gem was filled with pitch black aura. Frankie, Relic and Sam Gained aura control and a window that said

you have gained skill Aura control

Can be used to strengthen attack and defense. At higher levels aura can be changed into shapes of the users choice for both attack and defense

The final gem did not give off any strange feeling like the others, but the gem in it contained a blood red light that seemed so thick that it looked like blood constantly congealing and moving inside the gem. Instead of telling them to try and control what was inside the gem, the instructor told them that their testing was over and that they should all go back to the practice field so he could teach them the new techniques. Relic, without even hearing what the instructor said, walked up, and stared into the gem. He was mesmerized by it. he looked at it and touched the gem, but even then he couldn't touch the red light inside it. He looked at it and thought he just had to get it out of the gem if he wanted it. so he commanded it saying

"come out"

When he did the gem lost all of its light as the red light rushed towards Relic. The red light seemed to sink into him and he felt alive.As if he had been sick his entire life and he was only healthy now, but it lasted only an instant. When he came back to his senses he saw that he had two new skills

As soon as he came back to his senses Relic realized that even the instructor was staring at him as if he was an endangered animal. Relic started to leave the room and go back to the practice field when the instructor stopped him saying

"going to the practice field wont help you. No knight has had that ability for the last thirty years and the last one killed as many allies as he did enemies since he couldn't control it. Until you manage to prove your ability to use lifeforce you are not to go to the practice field or on group missions. In fact, other than going to the library to learn about your new skill i am placing you under house arrest."

With that said the instructor left and the others followed leaving Relic in the room, contemplating all the reading he was going to have to do.

P.S tell me what you think for now i decided to just go with one skill cause i think it would get a little overwhelming doing all three skills.
