Preparing for the worst case scenario, before the beam even hit her, the conscious representation of Elizabeth’s soul in her Soul Land could be seen saying, ‘Lisa, you’re up...’
Smirking in satisfaction, Lisa traded places with Ellie’s soul to take control of her body. Her substitution led to Elizabeth’s Death Affinity rising straight into the ranks of Mediocre Tier and without batting an eye, the Pure Yang Beam that had just about struck her palm weakened considerably as its energy was corroded away by the surging Death Concentrate, consequent of her Limbs of Corrosion.
It took less than a fraction of a second for all this to transpire and even less for the change in personality to be evident as Lisa's appearance expedited the rate with which Elizabeth’s body entered Battle Hysteria. She let out a war cry before bolstering her body with as much Death Magic as it could possibly withstand and with teleport-esque speed she appeared before the Soliger and punched it into oblivion.
Her transformed hands, augmented with surging Death Magic, cut through the Soliger’s defense like a sharp knife through paper. The scale-like armor around her fingers flex and wriggled upon contact for extra cutting damage and like a kite that had its string cut, the Soliger flew away from Elizabeth’s position much like she had when it ambushed her; streaks of red stained the ground along the path the Soliger took while airborne. Caught in her insanity, Lisa materialized the “Super” Blazebomb Enchantment Elizabeth created for the Enchantment Event and threw it at the Soliger before it crashed into the cave walls.
BOOM!!! It was like a small nuke had gone off as the horrifying explosion rocked the subterranean environment; sending tremors for dozens of kilometers away from the epicenter. Elizabeth’s body was shielded with her Blaze Spirit Body as the temperature remained near the boiling point of water even after seconds passed; it reached millions of degrees centigrade at the moment of activation.
Roar! Evidently, the punch of a Godslayer Fiend and a small nuke wasn’t enough to fell a Spirit Beast. But, Lisa didn’t care much for the apparent failure. She still had about fifty seconds before the 6th Seal of Chaos deactivated and for a weakling at the Peak of the King Stage, she was content with being able to damage the Spirit Beast as much as she had.
The Soliger entered a rage, easily distinguished by the burning flames of Pure Yang that wisped off its body with even more intensity than the Death Magic that flickered off Elizabeth. Now frowning, Elizabeth shot forth with hypersonic speed as she could see the damage she had done to the Soliger begin to regenerate courtesy of its ability with Pure Yang.
Boom! Boom! Shing! She dodged two Pure Yang beams before flicking a third back at her opponent and coming within reaching distance. “Die!” The Fiendish Incarnation couldn’t help but yell in ecstasy as it began plumbing the Soliger as if her life depended on how grand of a performance she could put on.
This time learning from her mistakes and digging her finger into the Soliger’s flesh with her left hand to make sure it stayed near her, she elbowed and kneed it no less than three times before the Beast landed an attack of its own; its claw managing to connect with her torso and ripping through her armor with little resistance. Oblivious to the pain, Lisa narrowed her eyes as the hand that kept the Soliger nearby effortlessly raised it into the air before smashing it below her.
With the Soliger ever so slightly paralyzed after being smashed into the ground, Lisa repositioned herself near its head just in time for the beast to rise from the ground. Actual terror ran down the Soliger’s body as it made eye contact with Lisa and the unnaturally red eyes she possessed. The beast could do little to avoid Lisa as she dug her right hand right into the Beast’s eyes, flaring her Death Magic just to cause as much damage as possible.
ROAR! Acting out even more savagely after losing its eyes, the Soliger opened its maw and moved to bite Lisa, but the lass already foresaw its actions and prepared accordingly as her left hand chopped at the Soliger’s throat; cutting deep into its thick muscles and halfway decapitating it. Unfortunately, the Soliger’s defense was just high enough to prevent her from cutting deeper and with only the brute force of the attack left, the beast was blown back for a second time.
This time, it was obvious how badly damaged the beast was as it didn’t recuperate as fast as before. But for a beast with its head half cut off, it reacted remarkably well as a flurry of Pure Yang Beams of weaker strength shot off in every possible direction from the Soliger’s body in an effort to keep Lisa from attacking it if only until it regained its balance.
Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
Unfortunately for the Soliger, Lisa was never bothered by the Pure Yang Beams as she had deflected and avoided its ability time and time again. Now, showing an even weaker variant of the original Beam, Lisa didn’t put half as much effort to defend herself as she effortlessly dodged the Beams while returning to close range where she could deal the most amount of damage.
She closed in on the dying Spirit Beast, using her superior speed to maneuver around the Soliger to confront its side to lower the risk of a bite wound, but the Soliger knew if she managed that, its life would certainly end with no chance at redemption. Thus, possessed with the same insanity that drove Ellie and Lisa to pull out their most extreme abilities, the Soliger ignored the wounds already accumulated on its body, doing all in its power to survive.
It’s half decapitated head, flung itself to the side and managed to bite into Elizabeth’s shoulder. In queue, a clawing attack doused in Pure Yang Flames drew dangerously close as the Soliger ignored tearing its muscles and breaking its bones to kill Elizabeth at all costs. Alas, Lisa already couldn’t feel the damage done to her body. She didn’t even flinch as the pressure from the Soliger’s bite tore through her body as a devastating elbow with her still free arm came crashing down without mercy.
CRACK! At almost the same time, Lisa’s elbow shattered through the Soliger’s head and into its brain as her collarbone was destroyed. Flexing her muscles in preparation for her next move, Lisa kicked at the claw attack that was still coming towards her. Though she was stuck again, she managed to deflect its original trajectory and the damage this time paled in comparison to the first time.
Looking at the Soliger’s body off in the distance, Lisa smirked. She still had ten seconds left before her body received the backlash of activating her 6th Seal of Chaos. But even with all that extra time, she didn’t hesitate to use her greatest speed to arrive beside the deceased Soliger. Plunging her hands deep into its body, a sizeable red heptagonal shaped Magic Circle was put to full use as the Soliger’s Dantian was stolen, its flesh and blood withered, and bone marrow sucked clean.
“What the fuck?! You’re using its Dantian for healing?” From her Soul Land, Ellie could be heard cursing her Godslayer Fiend Incarnation for its wasteful behavior. She couldn’t help but tear up at the thought of all the energy she was losing out on!
“Go fuck yourself, idiot host! We’ll all die if your fucking body isn’t in near perfect health once the backlash of your shitty seal strikes back!” Scoffing at Ellie’s idiotic priorities, Lisa, while still in control of the body knew exactly what she was doing. She prioritized using as much vital energy from the Soliger to heal her body as much as possible before using up the energy in its Dantian. Fortunately, the Soliger was a Spirit Beast of Pure Yang, meaning the vital energy in its body eclipsed most of those near its level.
Even after using a portion of the dense True Qi locked within the Soliger’s Dantian, Lisa didn’t throw away the rest of the energy available to her. Instead, she used the same method Ellie used on her older brother to store what was left into her own Dantian for Ellie to decide how best to use on her own time. After all, while she was technically in control of the body, Ellie could switch places with her whenever she wanted; had that not been the case, there’s no telling what kind of chaos would have already befallen Earth or the Shadow Realm. The harsh words she exchanged with Ellie were all fluff as the host soul only reacted before thinking things through; sometimes it was for the best to be set straight as Lisa had done to her.
Drawing a breath of cold air as she reverted the effects of activating her Chaos Seals of Transformation, Lisa felt nothing as her hands changed back to normal; the black scales that covered her finger, crumbling to ash as they fell from her hand. Before the last few remnants of her transformation could finish, however, Lisa felt Elizabeth’s body go into stasis as blood shot out of her mouth and kept leaking out in dangerous quantities. She fell over to the ground powerlessly and a couple seconds later, her soul traded places with Ellie as she had served her purpose.
‘Mhmm… Strange, the backlash this time was significantly weaker. Could it be because I’ve become stronger?’ Fumbling around as she flipped her body stomach-side up, Elizabeth weakly reached for her Soul-stitching Needles to heal herself. She had already eaten a spiritual meal to bolster her regeneration, so the process would only take around five minutes. However…
Thump… Thump… “You’ve got to be fucking kidding me...” Elizabeth cursed as she heard the sounds of heavy footsteps approaching her. She couldn’t imagine anything weak coming towards her after felling a Spirit Beast. But, as she prepared herself for the potentially fatal consequences of activating her 5th Seal of Chaos without recovering from using its 6th Seal variant — it was still under its two minute cooldown time — she found Belle, screeching at her to stop. The totality of her hearing drowned out by the constant, “FRIENDLY, IT’S A FRIENDLY!!!”
