“And you must be Solis Heartree.” He was looking at me with glowing eyes.
“Welcome to Treehome, dragon king.” I bowed in his direction as a sign of respect.
“Hoh? What’s this now?” His eyes glowed brighter as he looked at me. He walked towards me and walked around me, looking me up and down, before he looked back at his daughter.
“You didn't tell me he was this interesting?” The empress just chuckled.
“I wanted you to see it for yourself.” She said to the dragon king while chuckling to herself. He turned to me and spoke.
“Your energies are...interesting.” He said intently as he looked at me closely.
‘Those fucking eyes.’ I thought.
“Thank you?” I wasn’t exactly sure what to say.
“Oh? and you’re bold as well. Not grovelling or anything.” He turned away from me towards his daughter.
‘What?’ I was slightly taken aback.
“Very bold, isn’t he?” He asked her.
‘What’s that supposed to mean?’
“He has the right to be. He is one of the, if not the most powerful and accomplished ones in his generation.” She replied to him.
“Oh? How does he stack up against the ones I brought?” The empress looked at all the young dragons, both male and female, that came along with him. They, the dragons, that is, puffed up their chest as if to show themselves off.
“He is more powerful than them.” They looked slightly affronted.
“I knew, I could see that. Just wanted to hear it” His eyes glowed as he looked at me.
‘If you knew why did you ask?’
“Well, let's go.” They all left for the royal estate while I went on my way.
Prince Arthur Pov.
We made our way to the royal estate on foot and decided to walk through the inner garden on our way there. Grandfather had come here with some of his subjects, all promising dragons from what I could see. Well, ‘see’.
I looked at their mana and parsed the properties, density and purity it had and given their apparent age, they were all very talented. I think they were here specifically to draw in either me or my lovely sister.

‘And that's not going to happen.’ I would never allow anyone to lay a hand on my sister. As we moved through the inner garden grandfather finally broke the silence.
“You really are your mother’s daughter, aren’t you?” My mother smiled innocently at him.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” She reapplied.
“The feywild. You brought a piece of the feywild into someone else's territory.” He looked at her as we kept walking. She looked right back at him, eyes glowing.
“And?” The dragon king chuckled.
“You and your mother...same person.” Her smile just widened. They continued talking to each other, just ignoring the entourage that was following them.
“Your highness.” I heard from the side. I looked in that direction and saw someone, a female dragon, come up to me. She was a beautiful woman with yellow hair and eyes.
‘A yellow dragon then.’ I looked deeper into her mana to look at it’s properties.
‘Lightning element, powerful dragon heart and mana. But a relatively young dragon from her dragon heart’s maturity stage, say 50 years. Pure, very pure mana. But little control. Wild, uncontrolled power. Weak then.’ I smiled at her.
“Yes?” I answered her.
“I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Kayda, I am one of the children of one of your grandfather’s generals.” She said with a serious expression on her face.
“Lovely to meet you Kayda.” Short and sweet.
“We should mate and procreate. Your genetic material is suitable for me to birth a powerful child.”
“Ohh? That’s quite direct, isn’t it?” I asked.
“I was made aware that you were not one to take to seduction easily. I know that you prefer straightforward people.” She said as I raised a brow at that.
‘Well that’s true, but-’
“You should know, then, that this wouldn’t work.” I asked while looking at her.
“I had to give it a try before...she… got to you.” She used mana to make sure only I heard what she said.
“Who?” I asked.
“My twin sister. She will use any method possible to get you and-”
“Kayda, will you introduce me?” I looked at the one who just came up to us.
‘Huh.’ She looked identical to Kayda. I peered a little deeper.
‘Lightning element as well. Slightly more powerful mana than her sister. Better, way better control. Still a little shaky, but definitely the more powerful sister.’
“This is my twin sister, Dalina, your highness.” She had the same face, hair and eyes as Kayda, but with a more provocative outfit.
“It's an honour to finally, personally, meet you, your highness.” She said with a coy smile and smokey voice.
“Nice to meet you too.” I said with a smile.
“So what were you talking about, Kayda? With his highness.” She asked.
“That is none of your concern Dalina.” Kayda replied.
‘Are they really going to argue in front of me? Well then.’
I sped up and left both of them bickering behind me. I felt someone coming up behind me and placing their hand on my arm. I released my aura and burned the offending appendage.
“Arghhh!” Dalina screamed as her hand was burned severely. Everyone surrounding us looked in our direction. Both mother and grandfather also turned to look for a while before ignoring us.
“Oh, so sorry. Instinct, you know?” I said with a sorry expression.
“Do you need healing? I can get you-”
“I’m okay, your highness. It was my fault.” She hurriedly said.
“If you say so.” I ignored her and continued following mother.
“You’re getting soft, you should have taken her hand off for touching you like that.” I heard my mother tell me privately through a mana stream and smiled.
‘Maybe I should have.’
