Chapter Three: Day 2
“That was brutal, you two almost one shot-ed them all” Cathy asked while smiling.
“It’s fine plus it’s to show them that we’re not that easy to bully” Chris said calmly.
“Hahaha really, that was some fluid movement back there Chris” Harold said while laughing loudly.
“Shut up” Chris said then looked at Elise.
“What?” Elise said noticing Chris’s gaze.
Chris explained that he wants Elise to skin the bunny but when Elise said that she’s still at level one, and that one skill of Elise’s is called [Ensnare Shot] which after she shot an arrow she can trap the target for two sec depending to the target. This made Chris’s expectation to drop
‘Then, why is she so nimble while running in a forest? Is it a passive skill? No, it might be the perks of a job just like I instinctively used [Cover] to protect myself, Elise might have also instinctively activated her job’s perks and made her to easily navigate through the forest’ Chris thought.
But still, the skill has its uses so Chris asked Cathy if she can make bows for Elise since she’s a ‘Hunter’ and as an experiment but unfortunately she still can’t. Sighing, Chris again asked Cathy if she can make a dagger from the bunny’s horn.
“Yes, the skill listed the items that I can make and fortunately dagger is one of them” Cathy said.
“Good, then make a dagger for Elise” Chris said.
“Thank you, Cathy” Elise said.
“No problem! We’re both girls so we need to take care of each other” Cathy said happily.
“Just asking, Elise do you have some experience on how to use a bow?” Chris asked.
“None” Elise answered.
“I see”
After hearing it, Elise just smiled to Cathy and Chris quietly picked a place to sit and Cathy put the branches with some dried leaves at the bottom and light it with Harold’s lighter. As for the bunny, Cathy made a stone age hammer and Harold used it to crush the skull of the bunny to get its horn. No one in the group was surprised but the gore from the bunny’s scattered brain made the two girls flinched a little. After Harold crushed the skull of the bunny, he bent down to pick up the horn then gave it to Cathy to make the dagger for Elise..
Cathy took the horn and turned it into a dagger then gave it to Elise. Seeing this, Chris instructed Elise to try skinning the bunny as a test for his experiment. Elise followed Chris’s instruction without a question so Harold gave the headless bunny to Elise and after a minute or so, Elise started to skin the bunny but to her own inexperience on skinning, Elise’s skinning technique showed her clumsiness and ruined the fur but none of that matters since all they need to do is get the meat and cook it.
Twenty minutes later, Elise finally finished skinning and cutting the meat. Harold made a makeshift pig roaster and put the pieces of meat in a branch then rolled the handle to cook the meat. While the team is cooking the meat, Chris was busy looking at his status window and right now his eyes entirely focused on the screen, what made Chris focus his mind in this subject is that Chris’s level rose from level one to level two which made him curious why did he leveled up and after pondering about it for three minutes, Chris came into a conclusion that his level rose after he defeated the man who they fought with earlier and this made Chris to be cautious to his surroundings because with this conclusion means that anyone in here who is not in their right mind might kill him and his friends for the experience, so Chris called Harold and looked for a spot where they can talk about this conclusion of his.
“Harold, I leveled up” Chris said whispering.
“What?! When?! How?!” Harold with his loudmouth said.
“Shh! Not too loud” Chris warned Harold.
“So, how did you leveled up?” Harold with the same volume as Chris’s voice.
After Harold asked Chris on how did Chris leveled up, Chris then explained to Harold his theory that people can fight and level up by defeating their opponent, this made Harold’s eyes bulged out from his eye socket then turned into serious face then Harold said.
“We got to be prepared not only the monsters but also the people too huh” Harold said with a low voice.
“Yes and since people change and adapt quickly, there might be some of our classmate who turned into a pyschopath and is looking for a chance to kill some of us.” Chris said in a solemn voice.
“Now that you told me this, I can see that some of us aren’t here but why is it that no one is paying attention about this situation?” Harold said.
“Probably we have the same reason” Chris said.
“Survival huh” Harold said.
“Yes, Cathy told me that some of them has gone to hunt just like us but some of them didn’t returned or some of them were killed by the bunny and Elise is one of that group, she lost her whole group and returned alone which might be the reason she became like that” Chris said.
“But Cathy said she’s like that from the start right?” Harold said.
“I thought so too but after we chased her, Cathy gathered information why she became like that which in turn someone stole our food and she apologized that she’s too busy crafting and just blurted out that she’s like that from the start she saw Elise” Chris said.

“Ha? Just when did you two start talking?” Harold said.
“By the time I sat and watched you cook the meat, I tried to use [Whisper] with a thought and it worked so I tried it with Cathy as the receiver then I received this information” Chris said.
“The hell man? Hahaha you’re crazy” Harold said surprised in all Chris’s doing and changed in attitude.
With the two reaching in this type of conclusion and leaving Harold’s jaw to drop, they turned back to return on their seats and ate their food which taste like normal meat but with pretty bland flavor since there’s no seasoning. Fortunately that night, they didn’t encounter anything bad and the two boys in the group didn’t asked Elise to tell her story since now is not the right time and decided to take turns to guard the two girls. The next morning, the two invited the two girls to hunt with them and find a place away from their classmates so that they can all react if there’s really a psychopath in one of their classmates, and before they set out in a premise of ‘hunting’, Chris decided to take another experiment. Human mind’s is rather weak since all of them lived in a rather peaceful era so they might succumb to their hidden desires, and so just to make sure the two boys didn’t told their reason to the two girls why they must come with them to hunt.
“Wait, there’s something I want to do first before we go” Chris said.
“What do you need?” Harold said.
“[Invite Party] Harold, Elise, Cathy” Chris said.
“W-what?” Cathy said while looking at Chris like his crazy.
“Chris, what are you doing?” Elise said.
“Woah! Then yes!” Harold suddenly said.
The people Chris invited saw a blue panel saying that Chris invited them in a party, this surprised the group and the reason why Harold suddenly shouted in surprise and after reading it carefully Elise and Cathy pushed yes in the invitation then another window appeared showed up saying that they successfully formed a party and after Chris’s experiment, the group set out.
While hunting for bunnies, Chris tried different things like Chris made Elise check her status and just like Chris thought, a new skill called [Skinning I] showed and for Chris, a skill called [Shield Bash] appeared. The group of four was surprised in Chris’s successful experiment so the whole group decided to try more different things like Harold tried to used different sword stances and sword strikes that he learned on internet, Harold do have an eidetic memory so it’s easy for him to remember the videos he watched then Carol said that she’ll try to manually craft things and see what happens, Elise tried throwing rocks to attack the bunnies even though the accuracy sucks, and Chris tried to understand the shield and meditated while resting from a hunt.
Before the sun fell, the group or rather the two boys decided to find a place to stay and not to return from the place where they arrived in this world, the girls noticing something especially Elise asked Chris why are they not returning.
“So? what ‘s the reason?” Elise asked in a low and cold voice.
“Safety measures” Chris said not noticing the change in the voice of Elise.
“What for? Tell us in details” Elise said seemingly irritated.
Sighing, Chris looked and signalled Harold with a look to explain the situation to the girls then Chris didn’t bothered with Elise anymore.
“Well, me and Chris reached to a conclusion that maybe some of our classmates might be a psychopath” Harold said carefully.
“You reached a conclusion? How?” Elise said with a little surprised voice.
“After Chris defeated the guy who stole our food, Chris levelled up even though he didn’t killed the bastard so we reached a conclusion that maybe some of our classmates also experienced it and Chris thought that if he killed the bastard who stole our food, it might brought more experience so we decided to move out of there just to be safe” in all one go, Harold said it all.
“So? How can we say that we trust you? There’s two boys and two girls plus you two are stronger than us, you can rape us without trouble” Elise said in a grim tone.
“Your Chris’s ex-girlfriend, how come you can’t trust that guy? Plus I’m too busy to survive with you all to think about sex” Harold said in a serious voice.
“W-wait!! Your Chris’s ex?!” Cathy said in a surprise voice.
“That’s not important so i didn’t tell you” Elise flatly said.
“O-okay” Cathy said listening again to the two’s talk.
“You can go back to that place but don’t expect us to carry you back there” Chris said while looking at his status.
Clicking her mouth, Elise grabbed Cathy and sat far from the two. After resting, Chris and Harold resumed their quest to look for a place to stay for the night, fortunately the place they were dropped off was a territory of bunnies with horns. Not long after, the group finally saw a place where it can accommodate their needs to rest the night over and before the group rested for the night, Chris gave the horns which the group hunted to Cathy to make it into a sword then Chris asked Cathy if it’s enough to make two swords with it and Cathy nods her head confirming Chris’s question.
"Cathy, make some dagger for Elise for her to throw since there's too many bunnies here we won't run out of materials plus it might level up your skill again" Chris said.
"As you wish Boss" Cathy said.
"B-boss?" Chris said surprised.
"Yeah, are you not?" Cathy said tilting her head.
"W-whatever just do the items" Chris said stuttering.
"Yes!" Cathy said.
In their second day in this strange world where game elements and magic exists, the group checked their progress on their respective statuses.

Surprisingly, the skill [Ensnare Shot] can be implemented in a rock that’s why Elise throwing rocks were helpful and was given a reasonable amount of exp whenever they killed a bunny and as for Cathy, even though not participating in killing, she gathered a small amount of experience since they were in a party plus the weapon the two boys use was her work so there’s a plus which made her levelled up to three. As for the two boys, they were in the front line so most of the experience were theirs.
