Chapter One: New World

Morning, Chris Mitchell looking at the mirror shows his straight black short hair, his body can be called above average since he has muscles at the right proportions, he's wearing his blue jersey jacket and black jeans with some nice looking shoes since morning is always cold in his country and right now he is hurrying since he is already ten minutes late for his first class. What he didn't know is that from today onwards he won't live normally anymore.

"Haa~ I'm late!"

Panting, Chris finally reached the classroom where his class is.

"When you use the code 'echo' it will show your output on your personal homepage...."

the professor of his class didn't even looked at him when he entered so he hurriedly looked for his seat and sat down.

"You slept late again?"

The person who asked that is one of Chris's friend 'Harold Arthur', he is a foreign student and fortunately the moment the two first talked they knew that they will got along really well, Harold has blonde hair, tall guy, and what Chris can call a 'ikemen', Harold is pretty much popular to the girls and it's a plus that he has this dominating aura surrounds him.

"Yeah, I played the game that you gave me and I forgot to look at the time"

Harold laugh that the professor heard his laugh so he was reprimanded.

"Haha that's so you, so? how was it?"

"I played well"

"I see"

"So? what's the lesson?"

"You know, the basic stuff's like echo and print with some looping"

Chris and Harold's course has some relations to computer programming so they study PHP and the likes, so when Chris looked at the board he saw something shining so he narrowed his eyes to see if he is seeing right since the board is a hologram, the board has a lot of shiny display but this light he is looking has a structure that looked like a magic circle which made him think if he played too much that he is imagining things right now.

"Hmmm~"

"What's wrong Chris? can't see?"

They were in the middle rows so students that has problems with eyesight might narrow their eyes to see but Chris doesn't have eye problems so Harold asked if there's something wrong.

"Board, there's something wrong with the board"

"What?"

"I thought that I'm just hallucinating things but when I really looked there's something with it"

"What's wrong Chris?"

"Can't you see? there's a magic circle at the board!"

As Chris shouted, all of his classmate including Harold and the professor finally saw the magic circle and the whole thirty students classroom started to bustle.

"Oy! What's that?!"

"Eh? isn't that looked like a magic circle?"

The professor tried to turn of the board but the magic circle was still there then the magic circle as if finishing charging, shined brightly engulfing the whole class and that's the last thing Chris remembered.

Chris didn't know for how long he is out but thankfully he finally regained his consciousness and when he looked around, he saw that it's still morning since the sun isn't really that up yet and some of his classmates were still unconscious but some of them were now awake and trying to wake up their friends. Harold is one of the unconscious group so Chris picked up himself and walked to where Harold is.

"Oy! Harold! Wake up!"

Five minutes of trying waking up Harold, Harold finally groaned and slowly opened up his eyes and when he saw Chris's face so close to him opened up his eyes widely and got up almost immediately, fortunately Chris dodge Harold's head before he can head butted him accidentally.

"Whoa! the hell man! don't put your face so close to me!"

"You won't wake up no matter what I do so i tried looking for something but anyway thankfully you woke up"

"Why?"

"Look around you, some of our classmates thinks that we were kidnapped but I say we're not"

Harold and Chris picked themselves up and quietly talk about what happened, Chris's explained to Harold that they might have been transported to another world which that they got put down in a forest and while he was trying to wake up Harold, Chris tried some things that can be done when you got transported to another world just like in some novel that Chris read, and what he got is this status page just like some game where you can allocate points to your designated stats but sure Chris still din't know it if it is allocating or automatically updated but when Chris is explaining this things to Harold, Harold was somewhat disbelieving in what Chris's saying so he tried Chris's method by just thinking 'Status' in his mind then after that a blue panel showing Harold's status, of course he got surprised that he shouted and were looked by some of his classmates but he recovered immediately and asked Chris what is happening.

"Well Harold, I don't know too but will you inform them?"

"Yeah! we can't keep this to ourselves and maybe some of them might know it already just like us"

"Okay, you're the mister popular here so do your job and lead this lost lambs"

"Haha really Chris"

Harold jog to the middle of everyone and shouted to gather all of his classmates and told them what he and Chris what they discovered, and it made everyone jumped to surprise, unsurprisingly some of their classmates do already know about the existence of the status, Harold made them study their status since they might became useful, after saying that Harold jog again to go to where Chris is and asked.

"So, what's your status looked like?"

"Hmm? well,  I'm pretty much focused on the vitality but do you want to take a look?"

"Yeah sure, I'll share you my status too"

After saying that, the two of them shared their statuses and what it looked like is this.

"Would you look at that Chris! we're really partners aren't we?"

"Thankfully I'm a guardian, I really hate pain"

"Haha oh, I remember you really hate pa-"

"Woah!" someone excitedly exclaimed.

Hearing the ruckus, the two looked and saw that someone is summoning fire with their hands and playing with it and as the people saw it they exclaimed by the scene and they all started to look at their skill more seriously.

"Well, we got a walking torch so no problem with the lights here in this forest" Chris said amusingly.

"Haha Chris! we're the warrior types so we might not be able to use magic" Harold said while sighing.

"Shut up, so what are we going to do?"

"Well, were in a forest so why not hunt?"

"With what? we have nothing in our possession right now"

"As you can see, we have jobs and skills so might as well question the others if they have craft related jobs right? just like the games we played"

"You've got a point, then you do it since that's your idea"

"I'm planning on it already"

Harold then one by one asked all of their classmates if they have craft related jobs but some of them rejected Harold and didn't answered him.

'It's not like he wants to see your whole status idiot'

Chris thought while watching Harold, fortunately Harold finally found a person who will do the job and it's a girl with a white hair and a cute face but her body is a little lacking especially the chest area. When the two were nearing Chris's line of sight changed into Harold and asked.

"She got the necessary skill?"

"Yeah! Cathy, this is my best friend Chris, will let him look for your status too? he's trustworthy too"

"But- okay"

Hesitating for a moment the Cathy girl finally showed her status to Chris which really focused on crafting.

"Harold, what's with the 'I'?"

Before Harold can answer 'I don't know', Cathy cut him off and explained the skill herself.

"W-well it says, it can level up and when it leveled up I can create more complex and powerful items"

"I see, then what items that you can make now?" Chris asked.

"I can only make blunt weapons for now and some round shield" Cathy informed.

"Harold, you have the confidence to wield blunts and crush monsters? if there is some" Chris asked.

"Well, I played baseball when I was a kid so I have a slight confidence but I might start practice swinging first" Harold said.

"That's fine, Cathy will you make me a round shield and a round shield?" Chris asked.

"Yes but what would you use if for?" Cathy asked while tilting here head.

"Well, we don't have anything to eat so Harold and I thought that we might as well hunt some wild game since this is a forest and we might see some edible fruits to clench our thirst" Chris said informing Cathy.

"I see, I didn't thought about that but what about the materials I'm going to use?"

"Harold, what's your plan?"

"What do you need Cathy?"

"Well, some fallen branches can make do since we don't have equipments to cut the short trees"

"You won't do the hard way crafting, like sanding the surface?" Chris asked.

"Yes, since just using the skill will make the item almost instantly"

"Yosh! Chris let's find those branches" Harold excitingly said.

"Fine" Chris said while sighing.

Harold and Chris separated to get more branches than they are together and for 30 minutes of looking into some shrubs and bushes, the two returned with a bundles of fallen branches and gave it to Cathy to turn it into weapons.

"It's getting late, Cathy hurry up so that we can hunt already and leave some of the branches so that we can make fire" Chris said while frowning.

"Night in a forest is scary isn't?" Harold jokingly said.

"Yes! I'll hurry it up!"

While the cute craftswoman is busy the two man decided to sit beside her , that's when the people asking why did they returned with some scratched and branches.

'These people are idiots aren't they?'

While Chris is thinking bad things about his own classmates, Harold explained what they were planning just like what he did to Cathy, the people started to get excited while thinking that they'll hunt with the skills they got. So while the people ask Cathy to make them equipments to, Harold told them that they should look for some fallen branches so that Cathy can use the material so that Cathy can make them some basic items, the people were fast to understand so they hurriedly looked for some branches and when they came back they looked like Chris and Harold, full of scratches by looking everywhere they can.

"Harold, Chris, your equipments are done you can hunt now although I don't know if it'll do it but please use it well" Cathy said while smiling.

"We'll use it well! let's go Chris!" Harold enthusiastically said.

"Yeah let's go, I'm starving I won't let any escape!" Chris said while frowning.

"Good luck you two!" Cathy happily said while still focusing on her job to make items.

And so the two set off to hunt food.
