Fear

#################

Around a hundred people were all gathered in a giant hall, which had around fifty dining tables with four chairs each spread around. At the end of the hall, a huge staircase led to the upper floor.

Idle chatter could be heard everywhere in the hall, but it all stopped when two people started descending the stairs.

All the people in the hall got up and faced the two.

Descending the stairs was the Tower Lord, and behind him, Mark followed.

"The reason you called us here better be something important," said a man from amongst the crowd. The man had yellow hair, and a white cloth was wrapped around his entire body.

"Do you think I would call you all here without a reason, Zeus?" asked the Tower Lord, rather sarcastically.

"He is a dumb kid. Tell us the reason," ordered a woman sitting in the corner of the hall. Her plain words themselves carried a certain unexplainable power.

"Nice to see that you attended too, Miss. Nyx," greeted the Tower Lord, waving his hand at her.

Even though the Tower Lord was the strongest of all the Divina, he needed to respect the higher Gods. Although it was unlikely, if the higher Gods disliked him and decided to band together, they could defeat him at any time of the day.

But luckily for the Tower Lord, out of all the highest grade Divna, only Nyx had decided to attend.

"I felt a slight fluctuation when the current batch of newbies entered the Tutorial. Is this about that?" asked a man whose skin was as pale as snow. The only thing covering his shredded body was what looked like clothing made from tiger skin.

"That is correct, Shiva. What I am going to inform you all might come as a shock," said the Tower Lord as he sat down on a stair.

The room was silent for some time.

This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report.

"We have better things t-," before the man could finish his sentence, Mark glared at him.

"Sir Astraeus, please don't speak out of turn," said Mark, although his voice carried a powerful pressure, it was calm and composed.

Except for the highest-grade and high-grade Divina, every other Divina respected and feared Mark.

"He may return," informed the Tower Lord, averting his gaze to his feet, thinking back to a memory of long ago.

A sudden roar spread across the hall. Some people standing at the back fell to their behinds, and most of them started sweating profusely.

'He' is a very vague term. But, everybody in the hall knew what it meant. Most people in the hall had been alive for hundreds of thousands of years, but all feared him. There wasn't a single exception.

"But, I thought you sealed him!" yelled a huge black-haired man, standing beside Zeus.

"Calm down Hades! Everyone else too! We can still stop it!" Shouted the Tower Lord.

The room suddenly went completely still, maybe because of the extreme pressure that his voice carried.

"Right now, only the 'Librarian' has entered the Tower. Only, if the Librarian gets stronger, will 'He' have a chance to be free! Luckily, the Librarian is just a greenhorn. He can be easily dealt with before he gets the chance to become strong!" calmly explained the Tower Lord.

On hearing this, everybody calmed down. There was still a chance to live.

"If he returns, he will kill all of us for sure. His return should be prevented at any cost!" ordered Nyx. Even though she was a high Divina, her hands shivered on receiving the unprecedented information.

"If only we had let him peacefully return to his home, that time," said Zeus, contemplating his mistake.

"Who's the new Librarian?" asked Shiva.

"That I don't know. Maybe because of something 'he' did, I am unable to pinpoint who the new Librarian is," replied the Tower Lord.

"I did arrange for the Great Wolf to wake up and find the Librarian. But, it died soon after it woke up. We still have no clue who the newbie is," informed Mark.

"The boss wolf in the Tutorial was killed? Even though it wasn't the strongest entity in the Tutorial, no newbie should have been able to handle it," said Hades, his voice filled with shock and confusion.

"It must have been the Librarian. Should we contact the Tutorial admin?" asked Zeus.

"The Tutorial's administrator is a black-masked. He won't answer our questions," replied Nyx.

Among the admins of the Tower, masks decided superiority. A black mask was the highest, while a white mask was the lowest.

A black-masked admin was as strong as a highest-grade Divina, while a white-masked admin was as strong as a low-grade Divina. The administrators needed to be at least this strong since they were the ones ensuring that the Tower was fair and equal for each and every participant.

Although the admins did not interfere with anything the players and Divina did, they were still highly revered by all.

"That's all for today's meeting. If you find the Librarian, report it to everyone else immediately," ordered the Tower Lord, as he got up and walked back the way he had arrived from.
