Chapter 35

Looking at it clearly, he could still see the same race of being. The eyes and body were the same, but this one didn't rely on it's psychic capabilities, and looking at the body shape, it would probably be an agility variant. It's dark eyes, emptier than the largest expanse of space, seemingly seemed to gain a small sparkle of light, before it charged forwards.

It was fast.

Very fast. So fast in fact that if it wasn't for him having , he probably wouldn't be able to see it, as it without a doubt moved faster than his eyes.

Before it hit him, he managed to slightly tilt his body, allowing the beast's attack to only slightly graze his left shoulder, instead of blasting through his chest.

It landed a few meters away, and stopped moving. It's neck turned a full 180 degrees, and on it's face, was a smile. Made of the same things it's eyes were made of, it had a full smile. Jayson didn't know where it came from, nor how it managed to give itself a mouth, because he was too busy trying to dodge and fight back against it's next onslaught.

It charged him with punches, kicks, grapples, everything it could do with it's body, while keeping the smile on it's face. A few minutes of this passed and Jayson gained a new skill, . He instantly felt a minuscule change in how quickly he could tell where the punches were heading. Too bad that wasn't actually the skill. His dexterity just kept increasing, but he couldn't tell until now.

Part of the way through, he was getting comfortable enough to use to teleport himself out of the way or teleport it into the way. Just as he was slowly managing to push the creature back, his punches connecting with it's much more solid body, it spoke.

'you...are...not...strong...enough'

His body shook, not from surprise, but from the fear he felt. His body shivered, his previous tempo being completely destroyed by the involuntary body movements.

His began leveling up at record-breaking speeds as the beast started to land punches on his body. He coughed up a lungful of blood, after a devastating punch had broken a rib and caused it to carve a design through his lung.

His body on the floor, he could hear a faint giggle in the background, before he died once again.

You have been killed by a Semi-Awoken Void Runner.

Waiting a few seconds, he let himself get respawned. Looking around with , that was quickly becoming his most favorite skill, he saw nothing around him. He seemed to have respawned in a different area of the dungeon.

*What...was...that... they can talk? And what the hell is with this retarded ass dungeon? This isn't even a dungeon as I can't get experience in here. I might as well try ginding some skills out in here if I'll have to fight through hundreds of things each as strong as that.*

He continued ranting in his mind for a few minutes before finally beginning to move. Looking around, he was once again in a cavern, but along the walls were broken doors and windows, most likely leading to different buildings. It seemed to be an ancient rock-wall dwelling civilization.

Maybe those creatures he fought were just the corrupted versions of those who survived what happened to the city. There was sparse lighting around, coming from red mushrooms growing along the floors. There also seemed to be some kind of ore in the walls, which he would be able to mine later.

As he was looking around, his familiar talked to him again.

'I've finished absorbing the materials you put into your pocket creator.'

"Good job. How much have you grown?"

'There were enough materials for me to expand a total of 1.24%. The rest of the materials are stored within my dimensional storage.'

"What can you put into that dimensional storage?"

'I am sorry creator, but I can only put the basic elements into the storage, but it is endless to make up for that. Do you wish for me to continue growing my decomposition capabilities?'

"Yes. Do that for now. Here."

Leaning over, he picked up a few rocks and one of the small red mushrooms before putting it into his rocket. Looking around, he decided to start moving. In the distance, towards one of the cavern walls, was one of the larger doors that were cut into it.

It had paths leading to most of the other doors, either serving as a main area or some kind of storage. Opening the door, which actually just fell over from old age, he looked in.

It was a mostly empty room except for a small wall standing of the middle. Going close to it, he could see primitive carvings in the walls. The people in the carvings were bipedal but had two sets of arms. One from near their hips and one from their normal shoulders. They were all kneeling to a larger figure that looked exactly like them.

Next to it were two doors, each one with different symbols on them. Jayson turned around, finished looking at the carvings.Seeing a staircase in the corner, he began walking up it. Going wherever it led him.
