"You lost sight of what's important," she said while looking down at me.
All I could think about was "Who is this person and where am I?" I couldn't tell whether I was in a room or in the clouds. This lady had attendants who looked at her with great devotion to a degree that I have never seen before. Her dark blue robe was over her head and draped over her shoulders, covering most of her long, dark hair. Her calm and modest demeanor did not fit my impression of someone who everyone would look at with so much respect. She actually reminded me of those murals in low income Hispanic neighborhoods of some lady, I think her name was Guadalupe, who they worshipped...
"I am not a deity, nor do I have any power of my own," she said with a serious expression to interrupt my thoughts.
"Wait, is she reading my mind? I better be careful what I think about!" I thought.
"Actually, you should be kneeling before her," quietly said a person next to me. This person was good looking and had long, curly hair, but I couldn't really tell if this person was a boy or girl.
Irritated, I responded with a proud "I kneel before no man!" as I thought about my farmer ancestors who rebelled against the most powerful monarchy of their time. Armed with guns for farming and hunting, they formed militias to cast out all signs of aristocracy. No way was I going to give up my rights.

This person next to me went from an expression of awe towards the blue-robed lady, to a look of shock and exasperation towards me, and finally to a look of concern and perhaps fear for what the blue-robed lady would say.
When the blue-robed lady just looked down and slowly shook her head, the person next to me patiently explained "She is comparable to a Queen Mother, but since your farmer ancestors formed militias and cast out the aristocrats, you don't understand many terms regarding monarchies or nobility. She has so much sympathy for people that she listens to them and regularly intercedes with the King on their behalf."
"Is this person making fun of me? Wait, is 'she' reading my mind too? I was just now wondering if 'she' is a girl and thinking that 'she' is cute!" I thought with embarrassment.
"He has a long ways to go before he is ready," said the Queen Mother with sadness to the girl(?) next to me.
After a long pause, the Queen Mother resumed, saying to me "Back to what I was saying, you lost sight of what is important in life. Instead, you held onto what you should have let go. Whatever excuses you had were not justification for saying and doing things that hurt others. You got self-centered in your own suffering, and lost your way. Finally, you gave up and did not persevere to the end."
After another pause, she resumed with "Now, you are going to keep going. You will have to persevere until the King says you are ready. We will be watching over you, and yes, we know your thoughts. So when you begin to remember this, make sure you keep in mind that we know what is in your heart."
