CHAPTER 1: THE GOLDEN WARRIOR
There was shouting, grunting and even crying in the war with humans and demons. The wave of demons surged forward as the humans screamed in horror, as they were being slashed and decayed by Yokai magic. In some cases, they were even being crushed into a bloody paste by one huge demon, wielding a giant hammer which looked normal in his hands.
“We can’t win!” one human, with the blood of his comrade smeared over his face, cried. “We’ve lost!” He stumbled, trying to get away from the wave of demons and their giant soldier.
The fleeing man’s face smacked into golden armour, the blood on his face not even smearing the glowing metal. He looked up at the golden haired and blue eyed warrior.
“The-The Golden Warrior!” the man shouted.
“It is unbecoming for you to have such little faith.” He said a she withdrew his sword, its golden blade shimmering brighter the higher it was held into the air. “Here, let me give you the faith you need.”
He leapt over the man and faced the demon horde. The biggest walked out, laughing in glee as all the other demons roared in approval.
“This is my chance.” The mountain of a demon sneered. “If I defeat the human’s greatest warrior, I’ll be promoted to General even if I have one horn!”
“Come at me, foul demon.” The Golden Warrior said calmly.
The demon charged forward, each footstep shaking the ground.
The Golden Warrior stood still then vanished from his spot. The mountain of a demon stopped running and stood still as if he was frozen. Behind him, stood the Golden Warrior, his piercing eyes looking at the horde of demons. The mountain demon exploded in golden energy.
“He did it!” the formerly fleeing man said. “We can do it! We can win!”
The human army roared as one as they turned back around and charged at the demon horde as the war began once again.
Two demons with a single horns looked down at the war from their vantage point. They would see flashes of golden magic and hear the scream of perishing demons.
“You know, Ko” one of the demons said, “If we can beat the Golden Warrior, we would be the two greatest demons ever! Greater than the Demon Lord himself!”
“Blasphemy!” Ko said. “And anyways Ok, that gold hair fella looks like an OP type. I’m not going near him.”
A hand grabbed each of the demons and brought their skulls together, causing an explosion of blood, gore and bone.
“Pathetic demons!” The demon who had just killed his comrades said, wiping the dark red blood on the leather vest of his armour. “Any human who fears a human does not deserve to live!”
“So… savage,” the female said, a long tongue licking her lips. “So sexy.” The female had a short skirt and a blouse made of armour. She had red skin and two yellow eyes beneath two horns, jutting out from her forehead.
Her demon companion looked below with disgust. “So that is the Golden Warrior.” His purple eyes glared at the scene below. He had ash grey skin and a small but muscular form covered with simple armour and pants, he too had two horns.

“He looks formidable,” the female said, walking next to him.
“He is nothing compared to my master,” another said walking up behind him, touching one of his two horns. This one was a large man with muscles and a flowing red cape.
“Perhaps Morgit, I guess I’ll find out.” She said.
“Not before I do!” he said, leaping from their vantage point, threatening to blow his companions back.
The Golden Warrior kept cutting down demons until one landed not too far from him with a boom. They glared at each other, sensing the threat each posed to the other.
“You’re the Golden Warrior?” the demon said. “How dare you cut down my men, you human.”
The Golden Warrior sensed that for the demon, human was insult enough. “I sense you are powerful. Are you the Demon Lord?”
The demon laughed. “Of course a foolish human would think I am the Demon Lord. My master is stronger than I, however, I am not far off. I am his second in command, you may call me B.”
“B?” The Golden Warrior said. “I have heard of you.”
“Good,” B said as dark energy swirled in his hands, creating two giant broad swords. “Then you know this is your end.”
B slashed at the Golden Warrior, sending out C-shaped energy at him. The Golden Warrior leapt up, dodging the attack. In the air, his sword shone brightly before he swung it, sending out a giant pillar of golden light at B.
He heard the demon scream in horror as the pillar found its mark, creating a giant geyser of gold that shot into the air. He landed on the ground, looking at the endless chasm his sword created. He could see B floating in the air, his body covered in purple energy.
“Levitating?” He said in surprise. “Yokai magic shouldn’t be able to allow that.”
“This is not Yokai magic.” B said, looking up at The Golden Warrior. His eyes were glowing a solid purple with energy leaking out like smoke. “This is the power of B!”
B floated up higher into the air, over to the other side of the chasm. He gathered his power, the purple power glowing even brighter.
“Now, taste the Power of B!” A giant orb of purple energy gathered above the demon’s raised hands.
The Golden Warrior gathered his own golden power too. “If I cannot defeat you, then I won’t stand a chance against the Demon Lord.”
B threw the giant sphere of energy while The Golden Warrior shot out a beam of golden power. The beam met the orb, parting the golden beam into destructive rays.
The Golden Warrior breathed . “For my people. And for my world!” His body glowed brighter and his hair fluttered in the air as his power output increased, pushing the orb back at B. The demon’s eyes widened in shock.
“N-No!” he screamed. “I cannot be bested by a filthy human!” He gritted his teeth. “This will shave off a decade or two from my life but I will not be beaten by a human!”
B gave part of his lifeforce and the orb grew bigger. The Golden Warrior was surprised to see that even with all his power, he could no longer move the orb back. The two attacks finally reached their limits and exploded, engulfing the two warriors and expanding the chasm between them.
The Golden Warrior woke up. He felt his lifeforce, ebbing away from him. He raised his finger and a sliver of purple energy curled around his finger and sparked at the top.
“The Power of B.” he said in realization. He had somehow absorbed it and through this, he could see B himself. He was lying on the ground, the demon horde forming a wide circle around him.
C approached the demon general. “B, you still alive?”
“Yes,” B said, trying to get up.
“Shh…” C used her dainty hands to keep him down. “You’re hurt. Stay here and I’ll give you something for the pain.”
B grunted as C stabbed him through the heart with a blade made of yokai energy.
“Wh-Wh..”
“Shh, don’t worry, it was all planned.” She whispered.
“Morgit,” B said. “Help me!”
Morgit turned his back on him.
“Why would he help you?” she asked. “When your death will give him more power?”
“The Demon Lord will punish…”
“This was the Demon Lord’s idea,” she laughed. “He somehow knew that you would fight the Golden Warrior, kill him and have too little energy to defend yourself. He told me to thank you for your service and was sad he could not kill you himself. Goodbye, B, you were fun.”
Her power input increased. The decaying energy coursed through B and the last thing his rotting eyes saw was the smirk on C’s face before they turned to dust in his skull and the rest of his body followed, leaving behind bones.
The Golden Warrior thought of how cruel it was, as he too felt his life ebbing away.
“You will be okay!” the healer said as they rushed him off the battlefield.
He knew it was a lie. This was his last moments on earth and they were sad, for he knew that if he could draw with the Demon Lord’s second in command and still get killed, he had never really stood a chance and without him, the human race was doomed. His eyelids dropped, as he took his last breath and passed on to the afterlife.
