“[Sins] skill...”
Hiroslav, solitary research with no actual job, by has a degree in many subjects. Although a genius in his field, he has not published his work to the community or sold it to any company. If even one of his works were to be released, massive changes would appear. Just taking a look at his theories would cause the level of current science to skyrocket. A person of great mind, but has wasted it by secluding himself away from society. In other words, a NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training).
Despite the lowliness of the man’s social standing, he recognized the [Sins] skill, which was only known to be possessed by Neo. Even this knowledge was only available to less than a hundred people in the entire world. It was natural that this skill was hidden from the public. The skill [Sins] is a [Worlds Skill], a classification of certain unique skills. A [Worlds Skill] is created when an individual is exposed to Gate energy, the name for the energy that The Worlds Gate produces. However, it was only after the Gate opened that [Worlds Skill]s could be found. Due to the spread of Gate energy that was used to revive the world after it was opened, conglomerations of Gate energy could now be found, which introduced [Worlds Skill]s. Only the person who got the skill would know what they got, unless they decided to let others know. Which was why Hiroslav knowing of the skill’s existence was such a mystery, as he had never left his lab until the dungeon was created.
Because Neo understood this, he skid to a stop, right in front of Hiroslav. With a flash, his sword was pressed up against Hiroslav’s neck. His face turned pale at the threat of death; so he quickly dropped his gun and raised his hands in surrender. Neo canceled [Sins: Sloth] and the flames faded into non-existence. Fate arrived as well and pointed the tip of his sword at Hiroslav from behind.
“Talk,” Neo demanded, leaving no room for objections. “How do you know about [Sins]? Tell me!”
“I got it! I got!” Hiroslav wailed in fright. “I’ll talk, I’ll talk, just don’t kill me!”
“Then talk!”
“I research The Worlds Gate. After the event 10 years ago, I happened across a cluster of Gate energy and got a [Worlds Skill].”
“Really,” Fate said flatly. “A shut-in NEET like you?”
“Shut up!” Hiroslav retorted in embarrassment. “It’s not like I chose to be a NEET, I just really wanted to research!”

“Still doesn’t change that you’re a NEET.”
“You-”
“Finish!” Neo interrupted.
“R-right…” Hiroslav whimpered. “The [Worlds Skill] I got was [True Research]. It allowed me to make advancements on my projects and start new ones. It also has another function.
To identify other [Worlds Skill]s.”
*Ominous rumble noise*
“Is that so...”
“Never would’ve guessed...”
“EH?! Why aren’t you guys reacting more… Just more?! Is that all?!”
“Well, I kinda expected that.” Neo said dejectedly.
“Same here.” Fate stated.
“Ah… I see.” Hiroslav murmured.
“Is that all?” Neo questioned.
“Oh, no, it has other abilities as-”
*Shlick*
“-Wh...a…t...the… fu...c...k…?”
*Shlick*
*Psssssssssht*
*Thump*
“We could’ve gotten more out of this, Fate.” Neo stared at Fate.
“There was no use in keeping him alive.” Fate explained coldly. “If we let him live, he would cause more trouble. If we captured him or forced him to work for use, he could escape and probably betray us. Besides, there was no more useful information that we could get out of him. He already told us about his skill, and there’s no way to tell if he was lying because there’s no way to check someone’s status. Especially not someone who has the [Boss] or [Immortal] traits, those guys can’t be read. You know yourself, right… Little Immortal?”
“I’ll kill you if you do that one more time.”
“Kidding, kidding.”
Little Immortal. An unofficial title, something closer to a nickname one would call someone else because their real name is too long. Although the reason it was given is different, the idea is the same. It was given after Neo had acquired the [Immortal] trait, an extremely rare trait that only a few people would possess. The trait itself sounds like it would make the holder unkillable, but that fact only holds true in certain conditions. When one acquires the [Immortal] trait, something called a [Domain] is given to the holder. The [Domain] identifies where the [Immortal] trait makes one a true immortal. In other words, the [Immortal] trait makes the holder immortal where the holder’s [Domain] applies.
[Domain]s have something known as an ‘affinity.’ Affinities would reflect the specialty of the holder of the [Domain]. For example, if a holder of a [Domain] uses [Fire Magic] as their primary weapon, then their [Domain] would have a fire affinity. However, [Domain] affinities are chosen based on the holder’s choice, which is often their specialty. The reason for this is that is due to the 500% boost given by a [Domain]’s affinity. However, Neo had chosen his affinity to be something other than his specialty.
“Whatever, I’m tired. Let’s go back.” Neo said as he reached down.
“Sure,” Fate said blandly. “By the way, watcha picking up?”
“This nice, mythos-class gun. It’s mine now.”
“SHIT, I FORGOT! You bastard! How could you do that?! Leave me some things as well!”
“Yeah, you can get whatever I don’t want.”
“You want everything here, don’t you?”
“… Maybe.”
“Just leave me a bit...”
