Book 2 Chapter 19

Book 2 Chapter 19

The city of water was honestly amazing. It is a massive city that is really tall and divided in several levels with an amazing temple at the top. Water from deep underground is pulled out and released from the top level and travels down like a fountain and supplies the water for tens of thousands of people.

Unlike the other cities where the dungeon trains go to the center of the city, that isn’t the case for this city. The dungeon residents were very cautious and respectful to the guards and the train stopped as it circled the city forming the domain around it instead of inside.

That said, a pretty big event was going on with a large number of the dungeon residents gathering at the arena.

It was private for only dungeon residents but words still got out that it was a test for the child of one of Hyron’s friends.

Who this was wasn’t revealed but it was pretty big.

Logan was in the waiting room with glowing fists and punching at Maxwell but not out of anger but because he was doing minor training. Powerful winds came from his fists as he adapted to the strangeness of his entire body having mana.

“This is so weird.” Logan said as he stopped.

“Agreed but you have what every human wants and thanks to seeing it, I can teach the process to others. This is extremely important.” He said.

“I think i might be able to do the same.” Logan said.

“Right, but it is hard to even sense because it is a physical vessel. I strained myself to find mine.” he said.

Logan touched his chest and felt the beating of his heart and just feeling the flow of mana he could sense that tiny vessel.

He thought about all the monsters, “Monsters will naturally develop this but the children need this or their bodies will eventually slow down the growth. Helen needs this the most because then her body will help vent the mana.” Logan said.

“It is more likely that she releases all that mana but that is probably better. If you can feel it, try and help them like you developed the monsters initially.” Max said.

Logan nodded before going to Arashi and putting her on his sheath.

“Logan, don’t hold back. You are fighting a D rank alone.” He said.

“Right.” He said

As he said that a monster came to bring him out. Max followed and walking out he looked at the VIP spot and taking a short step he jumped clear across the entire field and into the VIP area. Over the door that Logan came out, the monsters and children were together with Logan’s three battle beasts who watched him walk out.

Cheering came as everyone was excited. The history of the Golden Lion was spread throughout the train, a small help from Hyron to awaken the legend but that would truly take off if Logan properly fought.

The other side opened and walking out was a fully armored humanoid but Logan recognized it. It was similar to the boss that stopped them at the castle.

“Today, we gather to witness the true power of a fully trained and armed Golden Lion. This is an event prepared by our Lord and master and the previous leader of the Golden Lion Mercenaries. The revival of the Golden Lion Army of the ancient times has begun and the first to display it’s full power is before you now. The only son of Maxwell McEwan, Logan Holt McEwan.” the monster who walked with Logan said through an amplifying tool. “Fighting him, to truly test his power is one of our very own Knight Constructs. This model is D rank and constructed by Master Smith Trigon himself and contains magic suppression fields and high skill level with close combat. Let the battle begin!” he roared and jumped out.

The construct instantly pulled a sword and shield before it suddenly released a powerful area spell. Magic not belonging to the construct would weaken here but Logan drew Arashi while his mana began to flow.

“Commencing attack!” the construct said and rushed at Logan.

Logan took a step back and took the first form that all the children learned while Arashi glowed and swung, “Dawn’s Horizon!” he roared.

With the simplest swing of this technique, a wave of golden magic rushed out and the incoming magic field impacted but everyone’s eyes widened as the visible magic field bent to the power of the attack before being crushed.

“Defense!” the construct said and instantly stopped as the shield came up.

BANG!

The rushed defense was impacted and instantly it was pushed back until the smash lost its power. Looking towards Logan, he found the boy was gone before it felt a surge of mana and raised the shield upwards as a massive stone battleaxe was in his hand coming down on his head. “Golden Surge!”

The axe came in contact with the shield and instantly the ground under the construct cracked and collapsed under the weight while a massive scar formed on the shield.

“Attack!” the construct said and pushing the blow to the left it swung without hesitation where Logan was but Arashi transformed into dual short swords and one came in contact but without much power and Logan used that to spin in the air and touched the ground as shadows covered him and the next moment he was behind the construct as the short swords became the daggers he got and amplified dark mana and it pierced into the back of the construct.

It was all too fast but the Shadow step was incredibly useful for such a quick position change against a heavy enemy but the shadow slash focused on the tips of the sword barely pierced the armor.

The construct turned and he pulled out the daggers and with lightning clad he hovered 30 meters as he created distance.

“Repair unit launch.” the construct said and released two drones and Logan frowned but he was feeling great. This was far better than against the Minotaur but that thought lasted only a moment. “Enemy analysis complete, speed type enemy, adapting…”

Suddenly steam came from every opening as the armor began to change as the shield vanished and a new sword appeared as it wielded two swords. The larger size decreased and despite being full body armor, the bulk decreased but Logan instantly identified that it had compressed the extra mass making the armor denser. Green lines lit up along the lines of the armor as the entire body was clad in wind mana and air resistance was reduced. The repair units shot green light on the damage wounds on the back right as it stepped forward and it burst forward.

Logan’s mind and body instantly accelerated as Arashi took her natural shape and Logan swung forward like a blur.

BANG!

Instantly a 4 meter wide crater formed as the two swords came down on Logan with even more force than Logan did which just cracked the ground. He felt the immense pressure but the mana in his blood and body heated up and seemed to help cushion the impact unlike what he could ever achieve.

His eyes looked at the red glowing eyes of the construct as he deflected the two swords into the ground and lifted Arashi, “Rising sun!” He shouted.

BOOM!

The attack struck the chest and sent the construct flying but there wasn’t any damage as it landed on its feet.

In the VIP seats, Hyron watched and Max looked down.

“Truly marvelous, the weapon art, mana development and the weapon work in total unison. That said, why is it that when he swings with the same move, there are different results?” Hyron asked.

“There are close to 30 different attack forms for every weapon meant to be used in every possible position you are currently in. Every blind spot from being in the air or standing stationary has a form that brings out the full power and every weapon has their own forms.” Max said.

“How do you even go about learning everything?” Hyron said.

Max smiled, “Who knows?” He said.

“Range attack test.” the construct suddenly said as the armor moved and released missile-like projectiles and other bird-like ones.

Logan frowned as he transformed Arashi into dual longswords and he spun himself and clad himself and Arashi in wind cladding.

All of a sudden, a large tornado of blades formed and anything coming at him was sliced and exploded while the flames were swept away until the wind stopped.

Logan frowned as he looked at the construct. “This isn’t working, it is getting more efficient at fighting me.” Logan muttered as Arashi transformed and what came out was the lightning spear. It’s mana channels were fully opened and the power that constantly escaped was perfectly contained and it seems the construct noticed some kind of danger. Logan clad it until sparks came to come off it before winding up.

“Defensive measures!” it instantly said and tried to convert to defensive mode but Logan tossed the lightning charged spear and before it could move the spear had turned into a bolt of lightning charged with the current full power of Logan’s Lightning clad and pierced through the head of the construct and came out the other end and continued on and was about to hit the wall when Logan appeared next to it and grabbed it.

He landed and turned back but the heated hole in the head was quite shocking.

He smiled as he looked at the spear, he had begun to test the abilities of his weapons that were developed and this one had one of his favorites. When clad with lightning, it was barely noticeable but the lightning gathered at the edge like Arashi’s normal form but it was amplified and compressed while the spear had an innate skill that formed when it was assimilated called Lightning Bolt.

When mana is clad through it and thrown, it flies like a lightning bolt but charging it with a lightning clad amplifies that power even more.

He had hoped it would damage the construct but to think it would burst right through it. It goes without saying that a massive discharge of lightning was released through it after piercing the armor so the internal damage to this machine monster was much worse than flesh and blood.

It just remained there completely destroyed.

“With a decisive hit, Logan McEwan has proven his power to join and fight D rank! Truly a spectacle!” the monster that had announced to fight, shouted.

Cheers instantly came, everyone loved exciting fights and the underdog win is always most liked. It isn’t easy to close the gap in ranks and Logan truly did have the power of an E rank both magical and physical.

He released a huff from the usage of mana but he wasn’t as tired as before. He felt his body and realized that the overuse of cladding had far less effect on his body. Although he released lightning which caused damage to him, his body wasn’t as damaged as it normally was when using that much cladding. The mana in his body clearly offset a lot of damage showing the clear advantage monsters had with this.

“This is far more useful than i expected. I will definitely open this for the kids, for Helen, whether it leaks the mana out or develops her body with all that energy, it will only lead to benefits.” he thought.

He walked over carefully to what remained of the robot and Hyron walked forward, “Impressive, the capacity of a trained Golden Lion knight truly does not fall short of the legends.” Hyron said.

Logan looked and bowed, “Thank you for the praise.” Logan said.

“I wonder if you are interested in a few more fights?” he asked

Logan internally grumbled, “Is it okay to lose followers like this?” Logan asked.

“These are machines, buildable and repairable.” Hyron replied but Max stepped up.

“That is fun for now. Although he does not show it, the amount of mana used is already close to half that was used for that fight, anymore and it would endanger his life.” Max said.

“Yes but how will you raise a knight without harsh combat?” Hyron said.

Max scowled this time and spoke in a quiet tone, “Hyron, I agreed to this to help the revival of the order. Word of mouth has a great effect, remember, this is my own son not some recruit. I’ve yet to fully exert myself so don’t make me do so on your Caravan.” Max said.

Hyron grinned, “Very well. It is sad but it seems this is all the fighting we can get, I hope that the future will bring greater battles and we can meet on a battlefield together should the dangers of the world reach this far.” Hyron said and left.

Max wasn’t very pleased as he jumped down. “Come on.” he said showing his subtle anger.

Logan had rarely seen him like this but he could feel that it wasn’t a good thing. The others quickly met up with him but unlike before, their eyes were shining in awe at his power.

“Sir! Can we become as strong as you with only E rank?!” one of the boys said.

Max laughed when he heard that and looked at Logan.

“That depends on how hard you work. You kids, I have a process i need you all to go through so that you do not fall behind against monsters who have magical bodies.” Logan said.

“Us! Us!” one of the goblins said.

“What I am doing for them you all do naturally. I have enough material for all of you to achieve it so don’t worry.” he said.

They all cheered happily and Logan pulled the door out for them and had them all enter. Jade, Jin and Storm were the only one left.

“What now?” Logan asked.

“We are leaving. I’ve paid the boarding cost.” Max said.

“What happened?” Logan asked.

He snorted, “It seems our revival is far from everyone’s desires, much more than i expected. Hyron was a dragon I travelled with 30 years ago for a few years before he left after finding a newborn dungeon and decided to become a Dungeon master. We had a good relationship, he showed a good front but him wanting to keep up his fighting showed that he wasn’t thrilled that we aren’t stuck at B rank anymore.” He said walking with Logan as they reached the door and left.

They gasped as they cleared the train carts and saw the massive city.

“Amazing.” Logan said.

“Yeah, we need to go to the lower temple where we can try and get it.” Max said.

“How much does it cost?” Logan asked.

“One liter of low quality holy water is 200 tip. A liter of high quality holy water is 2,000 tip and the highest quality which is the water remaining in the pools of the artifact itself is sold by the vial of 50 ml starting at 5,000 each and they are rarely sold and only when for curing extremely dangerous poisons and curses. We are here for the low quality stuff, with your current funds, you should be able to get quite a lot.” Max said.

“I’ve got a few hundred thousand thanks to lesser troll blood I sold in Eshen.” Logan said.

“Good, that is enough to buy the limit that I, as an A rank, can get which is 500 liters.” Max said.

“Do they limit by strength?” Logan asked.

“Yep, weaker people have far less use for it compared to someone strong who could be using it for special things including magical experiments. Basically the same thing that Jade went through would be a case like this.” Max said and led them into the city.

The city wasn’t just circles on the outside, there were entire levels of cities inside the massive fountain. It was a pretty amazing feeling and they felt an almost pure aura in this place.

“How is there so much water? Also why does it feel so… clean.” Jade asked.

“This is the result of holy mana. Holy water is constantly flowing through the city water but so diluted that it can’t achieve great effect but the faint aura makes this place a perfect safe ground from any and all evil presences. People with dark intent actually start to feel bad and uncomfortable here and start to feel paranoia while paladins and other religious forces are on the lookout.” Max said and gestured to a group coming through the large roads.

They all were wearing navy blue plate armor with a crest of the church upon their shields and armor. Where they walked, people would part way and some would bow to them.

“It seems quite friendly and respectful.” Jade said.

“Yeah, a rare sight.” Max said.

“Is it different in other places?” Storm asked.

“Yes, most religions have gone through hundreds or even thousands of years of tradition, there is a saying that is famous and the ancient hero said it, ‘You die a hero or live long enough to become a villain.’ This applies to everyone and organizations are no different. If an organization is incapable of maintaining sufficient control and maintaining the code then corruption will eventually seep into it. This is why the city of water is regarded as separate from the water god’s main religion in the rest of the continent but only in a moral sense.” Max said.

They walked through the city until they reached a tower formed of many tubes that were filling and draining of water with a disk blocking the top which people stood up and the water would take them up.

They waited their turn and rose up the levels to the outside of the second floor of the city and finally reached the tubes to the third floor.

“Greetings, entrance to the third floor requires permission.” the paladins said.

“We are here to visit the lower temple. My son bred a lesser priestess Lord and we decided to come get holy water for magic use.” Maxwell said, respectful.

He called Jade and presented her and they called an identifier and he confirmed the race.

“Although we understand but it is quite a hard time right now.” the paladin said.

“Oh, did something happen?” Max asked.

“Of course, the constant theft of holy artifacts is an extremely stressful thing so security has been at a constant high alert. Also we have had a few caravans come and buy large quantities to prepare their own healers for trouble.” the paladin said.

“So Hyron also got water?” Max asked.

“Yes, he got it a month ago and purchased a refill of his holy water tank with roughly 1,000 liters.” the paladin said.

“So that means the water stores are low then?” Max asked.

“Well we have stopped selling to the general population, too many people have been coming so we have begun to be more selective though all hospitals get their rightful supplies first and foremost.” the paladin said.

Maxwell took out his Adventurers card that had been updated to A rank and showed it. “With my rank, can I still purchase?” He asked.

One of them looked and saw the rank and returned it. “Certainly, A ranks are never a common guest. I will lead you to the lower temple.” one paladin said and called down a lift.

Logan watched as they rose, “Amazing that one person could inspire the growth of such an amazing city in a place like this. Is the Saint within the city or working outside to make his river system?” Logan asked.

“The lord saint has been outside for quite a while coming back only for supplies and water. He has been trying to produce natural springs by forming large stone pillars with cracks in the center and pushing them down in segments. It is extremely difficult to keep the pillars in a line until they reach the aquifers under the desert. Very tedious job requiring magicians with the earth surf and seismic sense skills. Otherwise it is next to impossible to open a spring because the stones start to curve as they are pushed and might even turn and disconnect from the chain altogether.” the paladin said.

“Do the earth dragon’s not help?” Jade asked.

“The earth dragons of the caravan dungeons honestly don’t care about the reforestation of the desert, it would make their travel harder in fact. The reason caravan dungeons are successful is because they have no flora blocking their path.” he said.

“Can’t they just make proper railways with their dungeon magic? I doubt such a massive machine would be stopped simply because of some trees and the dungeon raises and hardens the earth into their tracks.” Logan asked.

“Well, until now, this breed of dungeon has been purely their domain of control. Humans can only safely remove sentient dungeons already while the earth dragon’s can do the same with newborn ones.” the paladin said.

“Earth dragons had to adapt to dragon hunting long ago so they learned not only magic but technological advancement from most other races through the use of their transformation magic. They could hide among all the races and learn from them to mastery and so they would pass along the knowledge through each generation becoming more and more intelligent and more and more dangerous.” Maxwell completed.

Logan frowned when he heard that and looked to the outer wall.

As he did, they entered the stone foundation of the 3rd floor blocking their vision for a while until they reached the top and the door opened for them.

The 3rd floor was much quieter but it was still large. The people present were rich and healthy but most of them wore the emblem and colors of the religion.

“Is everyone here part of the religion?” Logan asked.

“Yes, basically everyone from the 3rd floor up is the family of the knights and priests. They help make the city function and maintain the many facilities.” the paladin said proudly as he called them and headed towards a large temple.

At the gate the paladin informed the purpose and they were guided in where a higher ranking priest met them.

“Welcome adventurers, welcome to our fair city. The paradise of the Mortis desert.” the priest said.

“Thank you for receiving us in these troubled times. I hope you do not find fault in this but with how chaotic the world is at this moment we cannot really entertain pleasantries.” Max said in a strangely elegant manner.

“Of course, I heard you requested holy water? Which quality precisely?” he asked.

“The low quality, the same quality used by priests and clergy in training for the use of holy magic.” Max said.

The priest looked at Jade and nodded, “I see, this young one seems to radiate quite a pure aura so I assume she must be a priestess?” the priest asked.

“Yes, a Lesser Priestess Lord. She is my son’s battle beast and is his healer so thinking of the dangers in the future, we decided to come obtain some holy water to give her the possibility of achieving greater healing ability through holy magic.” Max explained.

“I see, so what divine god does she worship?” the priest asked.

“Huh?” Logan and Jade said together.

“Oh, by chance did you never pick? Most priest breeds all possess a god by which they serve. They obtain the blessing of the god and can form a connection to learn from their domain. A priest or priestess without a god is like a magician without a book of magic, they simply bumble about with the power but not the knowledge.” he said.

“Is it required for getting the water?” Max asked.

“Well no but we just like to know where our god’s holy water is going to be used.” the priest said.

“I see, however her picking a god to worship isn’t a small choice.” Max said.

“Yes, however she instinctively has a ritual that could connect her to heaven, that is a unique capability of a ‘priestess’. No matter which monster race achieves this title, they have an ability that allows them to connect and draw power from.” the priest said.

“So you are saying that before you sell it to us, she has to officially have a god who blesses her?” Max said.

“Precisely. We sell to help, true and we sell to the caravan dungeons but most of their healers follow the Goddess of Monsters, Nomads and Trade, the goddess raised from her divine relic in the first caravan dungeon. She is a very friendly god but a powerful one but we respect that they require the holy water.” the priest said.

Divine relics are a very special item, they are the physical anchor that gods possess and gods would contain some of their divine essence in them. Gods are born in the mortal world but many actually die due to lacking faith but those who can grow and eventually ascend become firm. Every god has a divine relic protected securely by their religion. The first caravan dungeon is the main HQ to the religion of this goddess and where her relic is located.

“I see. This is likely to take a while then.” Max said, frowning.

“I await the news of who her divine lord is.” the priest said and walked away.

Maxwell called them out and they walked back to the lift and returned to the 2nd floor.

“So what now?” Logan asked.

“To a degree the priest is correct but there is a lot of danger in this.” Max said.

“Huh?” they all exclaimed.

“For one, which god would accept a dungeon monster yet to perfect her body who is also a battle beast? I’ve seen people with religion based evolution creatures have their connections cut by the gods so that the creatures would serve their purpose not the original masters. Attempting to remake the bond caused backlash which removes the blessing and even injures the creature.” Max said.

“Did the Golden Lion have some sort of patron?” Logan asked.

“No, we avoided a lot of religious complications, healers would usually be anything outside religion. Healer mage, alchemists or any such thing as long as the skills heal.” he said.

Logan was frowning and looked at Jade.

“It is strange, would they generally make it this hard?” Storm asked.

“Yes.” Max said. “They really do not sell it to everyone. For healing purpose no problem, for friendly religions towards their own, no problem but selling to unconfirmed people or so called priests without an official god by which the world knows of, they would not sell large quantities.” he said.

They all sigh at that but her expression changed.

“Master, I’m going to do that, I always feel incomplete so I will do what I can to grow strong with master.” She said.

Logan sighed and nodded. They walked around until they found a place to stay and entered the micro world.

“Is it safe to do it here?” he asked.

“Yeah, since your body is the connection there is no isolating feature as before.” Max said.

The others were watching as they walked in serious and walked to the empty training space.

Jade walked forward and kneeled and cupped her hand as if in prayer. Suddenly a magical circle formed around her and her body was engulfed in light.

Inside the light, Jade felt like her body was light and the next moment, she felt herself flying high up into the sky and found herself in a cloudy world.

Suddenly she felt countless feelings all over. Some were irritating despite their immense presence and she instinctively avoided those while others were neutral. She did feel a group that seemed to be really pleasing to her and she felt comfortable from the aura radiating. This feeling drew her towards those and all the other feelings were gone as her body accelerated towards that area until she appeared in a different area.

She looked around and saw lights that were very vague. These were crests but each meant something different and they all seemed pretty good in her body but she didn’t randomly pick.

“Um… is someone here?” She called out.

A wave came from the crests and as it reached her ears she heard laughing.

“A cautious one.” A mighty voice said with humor in the tone. “Um… you are all gods but I only followed the most comfortable feeling.” She said.

Another round of laughing came from the divine beings.

“Such a cute one, so much better than all those strict and stiff people who try to follow but cannot understand the fundamentals of our domain.” a female voice said.

“Um… what kind of gods are you?” Jade asked.

“We are among the honor gods, also known as God of Knights. We each have different specific domains, Honor, Glory, Valor and so on. A few knight orders pick among us to pray to though they do not form religions around it meaning they pray to us as simple gods of knights.” the goddess explained.

“Um… has there never been an official religion?” Jade asked.

“We’ve mostly avoided that because we do not want the irritating affairs however, your position is quite interesting, child.” the goddess said.

“Huh?” Jade said.

A deep voice took the goddess’s place, “You are the battle beast of the vice leader of the Golden Lions. Among all the orders of knights, they have the greatest systematic set of rules that we honestly love. When the hero created the orders to protect each continent, Nuntip was created when he spoke with us gods of knights and made those rules and those rules have been maintained.” the god said.

“Um… Do you want me to build a religion for the Gods of Knights alongside the Golden Lions?” Jade asked.

“Yes, it should not be difficult if your master would help you. In fact, as long as the boy’s past grudge is resolved, he would make quite the fantastic paladin. He is powerful, talented and his morals are perfectly in their proper place.” the female goddess said.

“Um… but which god would i serve?” Jade asked.

Instantly all the gods began to laugh and the crests pulled back as an ancient crest came forth. An ancient voice spoke, “I am the first God of Knights, the one to create the concept of what knights are. All forms of warriors who have a particular god of battle originated from myself. You can refer to me as the god who possesses the concept of Knighthood itself. When you became a priestess, we all felt a resonance and have been talking since a while back. What say you become the first to create a pantheon for us?” the ancient god said.

“Pantheon?” Jade said, confused.

“A pantheon is not a single god’s religion but a coalition of gods under one religious name. In other words, all of us would form a blessing of the Gods of Knights to bless you, in return, alongside the Golden Lions, you create a religion honoring our pantheon of gods.” the deep voiced male god said.

“But… is that not too much for a single person to contain so many blessings?” She asked.

“It is uncommon but pantheons are always born with the first disciple.” the ancient god said.

“Um… how will this affect my master?” She asked.

She instinctively felt they all smile warmly despite only seeing the crest. It was a slight change in their auras.

“Hardships and trials fill your master’s path, as does his sister’s. Your presence is an insurance improving all of their futures. Your presence will bring about a great deal of change in the future and you must stand together with your master to help him and the many chosen by the working of fate to safely deliver the world safely into the future.” the ancient god said.

“If it helps protect my master, then I will do it.” She said.

The warm smiles in their auras filled the area again.

“In that case, we shall begin.” the ancient god said.

His crest gathered and glowed before solidifying into a small seal as did all the other gods and each of their crests seemed to almost be a piece of a whole and the crests slowly gathered. Similar crests began to merge and form a more complete whole until the bare crest of the ancient god formed the link.

Suddenly the bright light shined from the crest and it moved to the center horn on Jade’s head and entered.

Instantly the seal appeared within her eyes and she felt an immense power. The vague system of the dungeon that her body still ran on as she was still only mana chimed in her head.

You have gained the Grand Blessing of the Pantheon of Knights

She felt her body burn and her entire soul seemed to be pulled into the seal and dropped down to the world below.

Her body called upon the soul and it returned.

Those watching the process all instantly felt an immense pressure in the area. The blinding light seemed to become dull as a crest seemed to form within the light and they all felt an immense presence until the crest vanished and Jade appeared once more. That said, she looked a bit different. No physical changes had taken place but her previously bright aura contained a powerful holiness.

They all knew she was blessed by no small god. Gods actually released blessings even to monsters causing unique variants to be born where they see fit. Humans also get these blessings and they cause quite a number of blessings and grant immense talent upon moral beings.

What they felt from her was not a small blessing because blessings aren’t normally felt.

The next moment, the lord orbs on her elbow and knees began to shine. They previously just enhanced her magic but they suddenly changed form and Jade stood up as her body was covered in pieces of pure white armor. A battle skirt, torso and shoulder piece, some metal cloves and long metal leg pieces. The rest was opened and filled in by her clothing and seemed to have quite a perfect aesthetic combination.

“Wow…” Was all Jade said as she raised her hand and the crest of the god appeared.

The heart of both Max and Logan beat upon seeing this and they instinctively wanted to kneel to this.

She raised her staff and placed it on the side and it imprinted upon it and she smiled feeling like it was a proper place to displace her crest like knights do with their shields.

When the magical crest disappeared the two felt the weight on them drop and Logan finally asked, “W-what kind of god did you connect with?” Logan asked.

Jade looked and reached behind her head and laughed, “Ah… well… about that.” She said and coughed.

The two looked at one another and narrowed their eyes and had her tell them what happened.
