Jace
I finished my new painting ten minutes ago and I'm ready to try the spell one last time. I do have a slight problem to deal with beforehand, however...
----------------------------------------
Twilight: "Where did you go yesterday? Why won't you tell me what you're doing? Why do you look so bothered?"
Jace: "Not telling, I don't want to, and you're bothering me."
"Is it really thaaaaat hard to tell me what you're doing?"
"Go bother someone else!"
"C'moooooon, I'm curious! Just tell me already! Pleaaaaase?"
"GO AWAY!"
"Don't wanna. If you won't tell me, I'll curse you!"
"Well then, I guess you'll never get to know what I'm doing."
"I've been watching you enough to tell you're in a hurry, so if I just watch you for long enough you'll HAVE to do whatever you're trying to do in front of me whether you want to or not."
"If you're going to be so persistent, I'll tell you on three conditions: You'll have to help me with the issue I'm currently dealing with, not tell anyone else about my circumstances, and promise to only harm the humans I give you permission to harm."
"Okay, deal. Now tell me what you're doing!"
----------------------------------------
Jace then proceeded to recount his adventure thus far, and likely even elaborated a bit more about the specifics of the first scene Jace wrote about in James's journal. Jace definitely told her about the Wanderers' unusual behaviors and his current objectives.
Sadly, as Twilight isn't here today, she cannot elaborate on the specifics Jace spoke of—if he even spoke of any.
After hearing whatever it was that Jace said, Twilight was convinced to help him for the time being.

Jace
After dealing with Twilight, I cast the spell once more.
Before me I see an expansive landscape only partially obscured by the clouds.
In a panic, I quickly backpedl and fall over without turning around. The spell served its purpose properly this time.
Turning around, I see a sight I had only seen once before: a tower made of nothing but ice. Jeez, I forgot how bone-chilling the temperature was up here. Forget falling, I better get inside before I freeze to death! Opening and closing the door to the tower of ice took the scant amount of heat left in my hands away. Why does this cold have to remind me of that day? I don't want to think about it. I must keep moving forward because, if I look back, I will falter. I need to find something—anything—that proves it's not my fault. I must continue to believe that what I chose was the right decision.
Unauthorized duplication: this tale has been taken without consent. Report sightings.
I called out to Dr. Collagen, but he didn't respond no matter how loud I yelled. After about a minute of shouting, I decided to search for Dr. Collagen throughout the tower. What I found? A well-preserved corpse that hadn't rotted due to the cold. At this point, since I know that Dr. Collagen isn't alive to heat up the tower, I'll have to hurry to see if I can find anything useful before I leave. I definitely need to find some of Dr. Collagen's potions and pills if I want to cure the limbs I'll have to chop off to prevent the spread of frostbite.
I rush to the top of the tower without the use of shadow shift due to the lack of shadows within the tower. As I begin to scan the floors looking for anything that could be useful, I slot as many things as possible whether I recognize them or not into the various pockets of my cloak. By the time I reach the bottom of the tower, I can hardly move my limbs. Staggering out of the tower, despite my dulled thinking due to the intense cold, I recall how cold it was when I first pushed the door. I wrap my cloak around my hands before opening the door to prevent my current condition from further deteriorating. Stumbling weakly towards the side of Mount Ire opposite from the sun, I slip over the edge and begin to fall. When I would have hit the side of the mountain, I shifted through the mountain's shadow and out the bottom of the mountain. The reason I didn't shift directly back to my sleeping hole should be evident once the physics behind shadow shift are clear. You see, whenever I use shadow shift, I retain my current velocity. If I shift into a shadow which is moving at the same speed as me, my velocity will be cancelled out. However, since the part of the mountain I shifted into wasn't falling at the same speed as I was, I kind of...
That hurt.
A lot.
I went feet first into a tree at an immense speed, and my leg bones are beyond shattered. Well, at least my arms are mostly intact. Since the objects in the cloak luckily didn't take any serious damage since I hit the tree feet first and face down, I should be able to find at least something capable of healing my injuries.
Wait, is this what I think it is?
I didn't think he'd be able to make anything else considering what was left wasn't even enough to make another potion...
I marvled at a small, oval, green pill held lightly in my right hand for but a moment before being convinced of its legitimacy. It's truly a shame that I couldn't meet that amazing individual for a second time before his age caught up to him. Despite living in what he calculated to be the best possible conditions to preserve his body for as long as possible, I suppose his brain couldn't handle a full two centuries—if he died this year, he would have been... 196, 197, 198, 199... one year short of 200. Ah, I'm getting off track.
I reach to my belt and grab my infinite source of water—thank the gods I didn't keep it in my cloak—and take a swig to take the pill. Despite being made of far fewer materials than the original concoction, the pill worked just as the original was intended to. In but a few moments, I can feel my bones begin to mend. Oh? Is it... curing the frostbite? No, it isn't curing the frostbite; the pill is regrowing my blackened fingers and toes while slowly severing the frostbitten fingers and toes in a process that should cause immense pain. Fully recovered, I stand up and shift back into my sleeping hole to try to get back at least some of my stamina before going through the items I've scavenged.
