Lucifer finished washing himself quickly. His current goal was to amass as many contribution points that he can use in the shop as possible. He was ecstatic that he would have better building supplies. The thing that saddened him was that he was raring to go get the materials himself. He really felt that the end result would become more worthwhile for him to do that. Instead of buying all that stuff from the shop.
Would you rather be given a kingdom, or earn it yourself? While the end result is the same you miss out on the adventure to gain those things. Life was about the adventure - life was not about the material things.
He liked his life, it was chaotic still - that just made it increasingly interesting.
Lucifer went and hunted, he wanted to level up. He was getting up there level wise - to the point that Lucifer would need to kill more than a fair share of the three eyed rabbits to get to the next level. he would not be seeing if the max level had any rewards for Lucifer to endure such a hardship.
He would devour anything, he would surpass anyone and would go anywhere. He would become what others did not dare to, what they couldn't afford to.
All because of fear they were missing out on the good life, he dared to indulge in it, and he was rewarded promptly. he couldn't afford to slow down. Humanities mortality was such a fickle thing, you can not accomplish much in 100 human years. Not if you want to lose out on the meaning of those years, you remember little when you pass your seventies. Its like what you had experienced held no real meaning.
Sure the emotions would stay with you, somewhat.
The group of rabbits that he found were quite busy. Eating grass, eating more grass. All the things that rabbits, if you could call them that were busy with.
They had grace, but they lacked real power. Power that made them instantly disqualified for the Apex Run. Runners would be humanoids, angels, demons. Dragons if they really did exist.
It's better to assume that they do exist then get disappointed later when they don't.
He readied his daggers, gripping the two hilts firmly. he wouldn't let them go, he bought them, in a heat of the moment situation. A purchase that Lucifer didn't regret - mostly because they saved his hide. For that they were worthwhile to keep around until he got something better.
Sprinting towards a rabbit he plunged the dagger into the rabbit's eyes that dulled the moment that the blades pierced the brain matter. The rabbits nearby reacted to the dying shriek.
They bounced towards him, he delivered a kick to there huge furry foreheads - one at a time in quick concession, when they were busy shaking their heads he slashed with all of his strength. The power of each swing equal, he was great at controlling his own body.
Stolen story; please report.
Because it was something that he felt he himself was capable of.
They - the batch of five rabbits, were wiped out thirty seconds later. he was satisfied with their deaths.
He wanted to feel more. He wanted the rush to carry him forth! Spurring him, commanding him to do so.
Lucifer looked around and found a cluster of rabbits. It seemed that the population was closer then he had anticipated. Great, right where he sleeps too!
He cleaned the dagger's blade on a nearby tree trunk before moving forth with momentum. he jutted into a stride. The wind weakly nudging him forth.
"Slaughter." "Kill." "Have them sing for me.” "I am the one who let you up when you couldn't go down any more."
"Let their screams be free so be a dear and kill them all~!"
His lack of will always seemed to delay his progress. His focus needed to be needle thin. His own voices needed to be instead be silence.
Death was his instrument of choice when it came to torture. Not needles, the voices inside his head offered another opinion. Isolation.
Everyone fears the finality that death offers. When you die in Hell - by one who offers absolution, at a cost of being judged for your weakness.
Law had a form, he was the Law. He was respected.
Here he was not the law. Here he was another mortal. he didnt have his demonic, or angelic powers. He had the power in his fist, and that would never be enough to regain his divinity.
The system was his only hope. He had connections, but this was a backwater world. He couldn't contact anyone even if he had wanted to.
He was too weak. Weak! Copper daggers were not enough for Lucifer to bring closure to people's lives.
Pierce. Puncture. Destroy.
There was not any pleasure in killing weaklings. he desired to kill the strong.
He desired to be able to kill those who had a chance at killing him.
To slaughter anybody in his path. No matter their power.
To commune with dragons and like minded beings. No matter their mortality.
He sought that goal, and for that he would rekindle any flames that could take him out.
Seeking out one flame was today's duty. He found it the day that Lucifer defeated the Arachnid queen, it was a fat rabbit. He clearly was an elite, he had a horn, and a set of three sets of red eyes eyes. Nine eyes.
That's not normal. And things that were not normal that did not pertain to him ticked Lucifer the fuck off! His family dynamic sucked.
And not getting told his Mother's identity by his Father made him want to kill something.
The victim was none other than the nine eyed hare.
Sure, he could spare a few minutes to rid the world of this multiple eyed monstrosity.
It was just so gross, and fat. Nothing like himself at all.
He admired strength, beauty and potential.
And hated quantity. if you can see with two eyes, why the fuck do you need nine?!
Good thing it had one life.
