Prologue: The horrible face of envy.
The wind is cold, but that is normal, the change of seasons brought with it a rather abrupt winter weather. I can feel the tips of my fingers becoming numb and my agitated breath leaves a white wake like the snow that falls around me.
Staying outdoors in such a climate is not ideal, if possible I would like to be in the classroom, or better yet, in my bedroom, it may be small but the heating is wonderful.
Yes, I would like to go to the bedroom; unfortunately, my body does not respond as I want, in fact I can not even move.
My body, invaded by a sharp pain and the inclemency of the cold, lies to the side of the main building. I can not even get up, much less walk ... my spine must have been damaged by the fall. Little by little I can feel the taste of iron from the blood in my mouth, and breathing is becoming more difficult.
Staying conscious is very difficult, the only reason I am lucid is my great hatred and desire for revenge against the culprits, those damn idiots who yet have the nerve to look out the window.
Why did this happen? Envy.
This school is one of the best in the country, where only elite students (whether they’re from social, sports or intellectual fields) are accepted. A disadvantage is that "little princes of the world" must coexist with people like me, who managed to enter thanks to talent and effort.
It may sound presumptuous but it's true, those sub-evolved apes would only have a chance to defeat me by resorting to something like this. Well, I'm also to blame for not taking proper precautions, I guess after all, I'm not that smart.
One more month and would have been the undisputed winner of the space program.
If you come across this story on Amazon, it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.
To be the representative of the school and be able to witness the opening of the space elevator, becoming one of the first people to contemplate the outer space from it was the goal for which I decided to study in this school. It is worth mentioning that such an event would turn the school representative into a big celebrity and an influential person, something that my competitors wished fervently… So much they killed me.
But it’s also an opportunity I'll snatch from them.
Making use of my remaining forces I press the touch screen of my bracelet, which is really a device that I developed myself: Brain.
Brain is an artificial intelligence program I made at the end of high school. It flawlessly obeys my orders , plus it can learn by itself and evolve. Brain is my greatest achievement and my greatest secret too… It will encrypt itself and erase all trace of its existence when my vital functions disappear, so I must hurry.
"B-Brain ... detective mode... guilty ... classroom ..."
By making use of all my will, I gave my last orders to Brain.
I got glad the moment I heard the confirmation sound. Just in time, my vitals decayed and it was impossible for me to retain my consciousness. My last thoughts were full of hate and unhealthy satisfaction.
("Their lives will be hell")
I just waited for my end. I always considered myself a man of rational thinking, but my death intrigues me ... What will happen now?
In the midst of such thoughts, I can perceive another presence (thought) that is not mine.
".......... life ............ actions .......... help ..........."
I do not know what it is, it sounded like static, possibly a last trick of the mind.
However, as if the cold I feltt was an illusion, my body is invaded by a feeling of warm, followed again by cold, but this time was more like an annoying feeling rather than dread.
--Wuaaaaaa ...... Wuaaaaaa ...... Wuaaaaaa.
A sound escapes from me, it sounds like the cry of a baby.
--Audjfolepods jkdjska dshjfdjsks
Words of a strong masculine voice, I do not understand but I feel as if they were happy.
--Hj jjsuehd sssj roffysd
This time it's a female voice, I can not understand them either, but they sound just as happy as the male voice.
I can not see my surroundings because my eyes are closed.
When I try to open them, my eyelids respond… I can see once I focus my eyes.
My surroundings are huge! No, it's me who shrank. In front of me is the great face of a woman who looks at me with great happiness and tears in her eyes ...
("What ... just happened?")
