The Dance of the Night
A green Keke was running through the streets of the Marketplace in Lower Boe. A Keke was an evolved cross-breed between a mouse, a squirrel, and a sugar glider. They were small creatures but highly intelligent as well. Kekes were about the same size as a squirrel. A Keke has four tails, that were able to transform into anything you could imagine. Kekes’ could channel their energy and turn themselves on fire while increasing their speed being able to dash and then fly through the sky. The Keke’s name was Maka. He was a male Keke. Maka processed four razor-sharp tails, small claws, and a vicious set of teeth. Maka's special power was extending the length of his tails and transforming his tails into different weapons. Maka dashes through the streets by jumping and ricocheting off of random objects. Anything and everything is his momentum. He jumps from a selling robot and then pounces on a vending machine. Finally, he hits a drone in the sky and lands on it perfectly then takes a ride.
Maka smells many different types of scents in the air as he rides the drone. Right below him is a fish stall. Maka smiles in delight and then drops down from the drone. Maka then falls through the air into a large aquarium of fish. Maka grabs the biggest fish he can get with his teeth, then jumps out of the aquarium. The owner of the fish stall is a large octopus with a helmet covering his face filled with water, his many tentacles are holding knives. The owner notices and shouts,
“BABA KABABA” through his voice box.
Maka sets himself on fire burning the large fish to a crispy delight. Maka nibbles on it with a grin on his face while the creature slams his knives down near Maka. Maka dodges each knife with swift leaps and then channels his energy causing him to shoot forward like a flaming bolt. Security drones notice Maka as he steals the fish. Maka dashes through the sky bouncing from object to object. Security drones are hot on the tail of this little thief but Maka was too fast. The security drones open fire on little Maka and he ricochets off a shop stall into a window of a store. Inside the store is various virtual machines. Creatures are all sitting on machine chairs. They are plugged into the machines with cords to the back of their necks. Maka smashes into the owner of the virtual reality shop sending the owner flying into a wall.
”Ahh, sorry” He squeaks.
Maka starts running across the shop, then channels his energy and turns on fire. He darts through an adjacent window. Into a back alley, he hears the nearby beeping of a security drone. He spots a bin with mechanical trash, there is also mechanical trash littered around the alleyway. Maka jumps in the bin and rests his head on Bri's chest without even knowing. The security drone flies by after searching the alleyway.
Maka notices how soft the objects he’s resting on are. Maka then pushes away random mechanical scrap to reveal Bri's face.
“Who would throw out such a cute cyborg,” Maka says to himself.
The ends of Maka’s tails turn into hands that wrap around Bri's body. Maka pulls her out of the bin, then rests her body on the floor. Maka looks around and notices a red plus sign down the alleyway.
“Must be a medical shop.” Maka thinks to himself.
Maka wraps his tails around her body and scurries down the alleyway carrying Bri's body. Maka sets himself on fire and then smashes into the door with the red plus sign. Maka spins out of control into the next room smashing into a large glass container with green liquids inside of it sending glass and liquids flying everywhere. The container spills liquids all over Maka and Bri.
The room is filled with different containers containing creatures attached to tubes that connect to one large machine above you. An elder Griff wearing a lab coat and glasses hears the container smash. The Griff grabs an LK-99 cannon and runs into the main room. The Griff is a hybrid between a hawk, griffon, and owl. They have massive wings hidden behind their back. They have talons for hands and feet, they are covered in beautiful golden feathers. The Griff aims his LK-99 at Maka.
“You have 2 minutes to explain yourself, otherwise I’m firing.” The Griff proclaims as the machine charges up.
The LK-99 is a large cannon destroyer model, it has the power to channel wind energy by creating blasts of wind or if switched to vacuum mode can suck up any objects within a certain radius. It is a slow-firing weapon that relies on the energy of its user but packs quite a punch. Maka stares into the middle of the large cannon.
“Stop charging that cannon, I was just looking to help this female, she's badly injured.” Maka squeaks.
“Well it's going to cost you, I don’t heal for free.” The Griff responds.
“I don’t have any Meni, but she might,” Maka states.
“Ahh, fine I’ll take a chance.” The Griff responds.
The Griff whistles and a drone flies out from another room. The drone scans the body, then removes the weapons and clothing. The drone picks Bri's naked body up and puts Bri into an empty green container. The Griff pulls up a screen that displays details of Bri ‘s body.
“Hmm, some minor damages and heavy damages to certain parts. The victim seems to have fallen from a great height and suffered a concussion. She should be repaired in 3 hours.” The Griff states.
“Umm, who are you?” Maka asks.
“I am Doctor Gizmo. This is my laboratory for healing and medical research. You seem to be injured as well want a stim-needle?” Giz responses.
“Sure, Doc. On her tab of course.” Maka grins back.
Giz walks to a large medical machine and pushes a button. A stim needle drops out. Giz tosses the needle to Maka who catches it with one of his tails. Then Maka injects himself.
“And what is your name, little one?” Giz asks.
“Maka the fourth, but you can just call me Maka.” Maka grins back.
“Come into my office, I’ll make some herbal tea and you can tell me all about yourself. I might even have cheese in the fridge.” Giz motions to Maka.
Maka’s eyes light up at the mention of Cheese. They both walk into the office.
Bri wakes up three hours later floating around in her underwear in a container filled with green liquid. Her eyes scan the surrounding area and she starts pounding on the glass. It feels like she’s swimming in a dense muddy pool. The Liquid is thick and surrounds her beautiful body. You see little bubbles go to the top of the tank. Bri uses the force of her body to hit the glass and smashes through then rolls on the ground. She examines her surroundings to see different containers filled with different creatures. Maka and Giz hear the noise from the other room. They run into the room to meet Bri. Bri runs towards Giz with her fists in the air. Maka uses his four tails to pin her down.
Maka responds, “Relax, we are not here to hurt you.”
Bri stares at Maka with hatred in her eyes but then calms down.
“Where are my weapons and clothes?” Bri asks.
“In the next room on the table, let me get them for you,” Giz exclaims.
Giz snaps his claws once again and drones deliver Bri’s stuff. Bri starts to put on her clothes.
“Your recovery bill will be 5000 meni” Giz motions with his claw.
“5000 meni, come on doctor this is outrageous,” Bri responds.
“I’ve noticed your upgrades, I could have scraped you and sold your parts individually on the black market. They are past technology upgrades but still fetch a pretty penny. If you didn’t recover. Your lucky I repaired you and this little guy saved your ass.” Giz states and motions to Maka.
A screen pops up near Bri’s face showing details of her body and the time at the upper right.
“Systems check,” Bri mentions.
“Vital signs normal.” Tada the computer responds. Bri notices the time.
“Shit, I gotta go, business calls.” Bri starts to exit the room.
“And the funds?” Giz glares at Bri
“Sure, Doc.” Bri mentions back.
“Tada transfer 5000 meni.” Bri asks.
“Thanks for the help, I’ll see you two around.”
Bri exits the room. Maka looks at Giz and Giz shrugs his wings.
It's still a rainy day in the marketplace of Lower Boe. Bri looks up to see clouds in the sky and skyscrapers in the distance while looking toward the direction of the Complex Centre. She turns in the other direction and starts running. You can see the rain drip down onto her hair and body. Bri scans the surrounding area. You can hear vendors in the market shouting prices and motioning toward Bri as she runs down the main street. Bri doesn’t stop at any shop, she’s a girl on a mission and she’s late. A screen pops up with Sid’s face.
“Where have you been? I tried calling you four times.” Sid asks.
“I got shot down by some Taru. Seems like I found the answer to our problem.
The Taru must be trying to take our turf.” Kiasii responds
. “God damm lizard freaks,” Sid shouts back.
Bri sees Turk’s bar in the distance. Bri closes the screen. Then she looks to the left to see a clothing store. Bri’s eyes start to glimmer as she notices a model robot wearing a smooth black dress with black thigh-highs to match. She turns and shakes her head, focusing on the mission. Bri looks behind her for a second, thinking something is stalking her but notices nothing. Just empty vendor stalls from shopkeepers that went home for the night. Bri started running forward towards the bar. You notice a huge neon red Turk’s bar sign above the bar as Bri gets closer. She stops running while she’s close and scans her surrounding. Something seems off this night. Could it be Taru or something worse? Bri nears the store and a scanner above the door shines on her body. The machine door opens and Bri walks in.

As she enters Turk’s bar you notice several different creatures all drinking cups of a green liquid. It’s a synthetic type of alcohol somewhat addictive but creates dopamine in the brain. You notice a group of Pola beside you. They look like cute polar bear cubs but could transform into something much darker. They were fierce creatures as well, very territorial. Polas could freeze everything. They often held ice machine guns. These guns could strengthen a Pola’s natural energy much like the Electro-44 for the Taru. To the right of Bri were little blue aliens all drinking a black liquor similar to Jägermeister. You notice a large slime creature in the corner it's more goo than a creature but with a large mass, talking to some type of plant tentacle creature. It looks like a ball of tentacles with little dark eyes that glare at you. As it talks the tentacles start to shuffle. The slime starts to laugh at something it said and the slime jiggles throwing slime all over the area. Slime starts raining down on the little blue aliens who shout back and raise their little fists. You notice the tentacle creature glare at the blue creatures and they quickly stop yelling. Bri scrolls up to the bartender at the back, dodging drunk creatures left and right. A robot waiter crashes into Bri spilling synthetic alcohol over her chest.
“Stupid Machines.” Bri knocks the waiter onto the ground. Creatures close to her stare at her and laugh. Bri approaches the bartender and owner Turk. Turk is an evolved version of a minotaur. He has large horns and hooves for feet, with a long curly tail. He looks like he has the face of a bull. Bri takes a seat in front of him.
“Hey, Turkey. How’s business?” Bri shouts to Turk.
“I told you not to call me that it's Turk. What do you want?” Turk says.
“I’ll take a green tea.” Bri grins.
“You think we serve that at a bar? Seriously what do you want?” Turk
Kaisii grabs the blaster that was attached to her leg. Then aims it at Turk’s face.
“You think you could do any damage with that gun?” Turk asks.
“First, I would shoot you in both eyes, then I would pull out my katana and slice your head clean off. Then I could hang your head in my room.” Bri grins back. Bri puts the blaster down and extends her arm toward Turk. They both shake hands and Turk starts laughing.
“Computer, transfer 50,000 meni to Bri.”Turk says out loud.
“50k? Isn’t that a little light, we used to get 100k from you.” Bri shouts back.
“Well, I need to make a living somehow and Taru threatened me three days ago. I gave them 50k to get the hell out. Where is my famous Reaper protection? I thought you would take care of them sooner.”
“ I’ll talk to Sid about it later. We’ll erase them from Lower Boe. You have my word.” Bri mentions back.
“So want anything to drink? On the house of course.” Turk replies.
Bri stares at a screen with a menu on the wall, thinking about what to get. At the same time, a group of four Taru enters the bar all armed with Electro-44s. You feel the energy in the bar start to change, and they notice Bri sitting at the front. Turk notices them just in time and throws an energy barrier on the floor near Bri. The Taru start screaming and fire shots at the barrier.
“Not my bar again, I just finished cleaning up a bar fight last week.” Turk signs.
“Time to take out the trash.” Bri grins.
Bri pulls out her vaporizer and aims it at the Taru.
“Wait don’t fire that thing in here, I don’t want you accidentally hitting any customers,” Turk shouts.
“Fine, I’ll do things the old-fashioned way.” Bri pulls out her black Katana.
“Tada enter combat mode. Increase systems to full power and speed on max.”Bri states out loud.
The Taru quickly enter defensive positions. They flip over tables and start charging their electricity while firing at the barrier. Creatures start running in different directions and screaming some of them exit the bar. The Pola create an ice wall blocking them from any of the stray projectiles. The blue aliens run behind the tentacle creature using it for cover. Bri runs forward then she dashes left and right dodging electricity shots. Bri uses a robot waiter for cover. The robot waiter tanks all of the shots and explodes. Bri jumps onto the wall above her and starts running along the top of the bar. Bri bounces off the wall and slashes at the neck of one of the Taru, cutting it clean off. Green blood starts spraying everywhere as the head falls onto the floor. You can see a grin in Bri's eyes. The Taru start screaming and keep firing shots at Bri. Bri uses her katana to absorb and deflect shots back to the Taru. The Taru are immune to electricity so they absorb the shots sent back. Some of the deflected shots hit the ice wall and other shots hit the tentacle monster who absorbs it as well. Bri’s blaster on her right leg starts firing as she dances through waves of electricity projectiles. A couple of blaster shots hit a Taru and Bri jumps in, she swings her Katana in an x shape butchering the Taru. Each of the two remaining Taru looks at each other and they scream in unison. They pull out purple vials from their black coats and inject themselves. You see the electricity start to spark from their green skin. They start to grow in size and have bloodshot eyes. Bri slashes her blade on one of the Taru but he catches it and slams her with his claws. Sending shockwaves throughout her body. Then the Taru knocks the katana out of her hands. The Taru grabs Bri and throws her body then slams into a table. The impact shatters her left arm.
“Systems damaged. Re-directing power from the left arm.” Tada states out loud.
Bri stands up and runs to her Katana while dragging her broken arm. She grabs her Katana and screams running at the two Taru with full speed. One of the Taru swings his massive claws slashing her chest. Then headbutts her with his skull sending her flying into the ice wall. Bri lands on the ice wall as it braces her impact. Bri pulls out the vaporizer in a last-ditch effort. It starts charging and both Taru notices it so they run towards her in two different directions while firing shots at her with their electro-44s. The vaporizer fires an enormous shot at one of the Taru turning it instantly into water vapor. The other Taru fires a blast of electricity from his mouth hitting the vaporizer which sends it flying in another direction. The Taru reaches out toward Bri’s head and grabs it pulling her up into the air.
“It’s over Reaper.” The Taru exclaims with a grin on his face.
Maka smashes through the glass window on fire with the speed of a lightning bolt, he burns right through the Taru’s arm which drops Bri to the floor. The Taru starts screaming and kicks Bri’s body in the opposite direction.
“Need a hand? Or even better a tail?” Maka converts his four tails into large-shaped swords.
Turk runs over to Bri's body to protect it from further harm. Turk carries her body to a corner. Maka lights himself on fire and then bounces off multiple walls, hacking and slashing the Taru’s body. The Taru swings around its massive arm in an attempt to claw Maka but the Keke is too fast. The Taru starts charging its electricity and you see flames battle electric sparks as Maka ricochets off the walls. The Taru starts releasing bolts of electricity from its mouth. Maka swiftly dodges each one. Then Maka charges up and jumps into the air. Maka shoots toward the upper wall and rebounds off it. You can see the glimmer in Maka’s eyes as he slashes the Taru into four pieces using his four-bladed tails. Maka lands on the floor gracefully and looks back toward Turk.
“Why do I always have to save her ass? I don’t even know her.” Maka squeaks.
“She’s badly injured and knocked out. I bet she’ll thank you later.” Turk responds.
“She didn’t even thank me last time,” Maka mentions.
“What are you talking about?” Turk says.
“Oh, it’s a long story, anyways I know a doctor nearby,” Maka responds.
“I’ve got a bar to run, business as usual. Can you take her to the doctor you mentioned?” Turk asks.
“Sure, whatever. But I better get more Meni this time.” Maka responds.
Maka’s tails transform into hands, they wrap around Bri’s body. The bar returns to normal with everyone chatting like normal after the destruction. The Pola take down the ice wall and ask for more drinks. The little blue aliens run back to their broken table from behind the tentacle creature. Turk grabs the broken robot waiter and throws it in the back. The tentacle creature grabs some synthetic alcohol while Turk isn’t looking with its long reach. Then Maka runs out of the bar, carrying Bri’s body with his tails.
