Waking up early in the morning, switching on the light, gently carrying his daughter who was still sleeping soundly from her bed in her room which had dolls and every cute toy accumulated both when she was living with her mother and from him. He would buy her gifts from time to time and looking at her reminded her of Mads.
Eagle gently carried Birdy all the way from his unit to Norman’s which was at in the school itself after dressing up in his work overalls. This required a bit of walking which Eagle didn’t mind. The door open and Mona greeted him with a hug as usual, “Hi Eagle, you are early today, Norman is in backyard training with his neon blue eagle. Go up and say hi”.
“I have to run to work now and will do so later”. Handing his daughter to Norman’s wife.
“That is alright, Eagle. I will see you later. You make a good father”. Taking Birdy from Eagle, Mona said goodbye as he took off to work.
“The first to show up for work again”.Eagle’s boss commented just as he was about to bundy on. “You know what I have decided to make an exception for you. Since you are such a hard worker and turn up before time and always do what is required of you, I am not going to be concern if you bundy on or not. In other words, if you don’t turn up, I know there is a good reason”.
“Thank you, Zack”. Eagle decided to bundy on anyway as it had become a habit.
“You are still free to bundy on as you did but as I said, it doesn’t bother me even if you don’t”.
Eagle thanked his boss and headed to work. He did stocktaking for the shoes and made his boxes which was surprisingly efficient and he finished his work before break.
His boss called him over, “Guess what, Eagle. Since, you are good in data entry and computer proficient. I have decided to move you to do data entry for us. You will be able to spend more time with your daughter and come to work later at nine o’ clock in the morning instead of four and you are hired full time which means you are now entitled to holiday pay, sick pay, and all other entitlements my full time workers have. Do you agree? If you do, please read the contract and you can begin your new position tomorrow”.
Signing the contract after reading it, Eagle obtained his new position. For the next few months, it was a smooth transition at work as he was now had the job he desired and could now spend more time with his daughter as well as Tomi, Norman, Adrian, and Mis Strong, who was placed to look after the children under Mona.
Adrian was taken under Norman’s 24/7 discipleship and followed him around everywhere. He always made sure he sat in the front of the class at all times. Being an overly affectionate person (once he hugged someone, he did not know when to let go - only refraining from hugging Norman and Eagle that way), it made some of the Eagle riders uncomfortable especially Jake, Bart, and Edward.

Being able to stay awake later due to his new position in his work, Eagle could hang out with Adrian and Mis Strong and sometimes even Tomi whenever they went for a movie to watch or play some bowling, a game which Eagle hated and refused to play only coming along to keep his friends company.
“Aren’t you going to have a game?” Norman asked once. “It is pretty fun”.
“No, I will just watch”. Eagle did not want to talk much about bowling and one of the reasons why he hated bowling so much was because of the time he first started playing in middle school on his thirteen birthday. During that time, he missed most of his hits and his ‘friends’ who came along not because of him but Jake’s popularity laugh at him. “You are so pathetic, Eagle. Even a five year old can do better than you”.
To prove that, one of the boys who took his five year old brother among ordered his brother to throw the same bowling ball which Eagle used and actually scored more points than Eagle who ran home crying. That was when he was only thirteen and his twenty six birthday had just passed.
Remembering these times nearly brought tears to his eyes but he refused to cry as he did not want all attention to come upon him nor did he want to ruin his daughter’s fun. “Birdy, Mertle, Nathan, and Johnson are doing well, aren’t they?” Eagle turned to speak to Norman clearly trying to hide the sorrow in his heart.
“They are doing well indeed”. Norman replied. The blue haired and bright blue eyed tall muscular man pushed Adrian, who could not mind his own business and was attempting to eve drop, away lightly but enough to give the young Asian boy the hint they are having a private conversation.
“You are hiding something again. There are issues in your heart that you have still refused to address and it all comes down to one thing, you might be able to fool others around you by being calm and acting like Spock from StarTrack film which is obviously your favourite character but deep down inside you hurt a lot, it stems down to just one thing. You are unable to forgive yourself. That is the reason for your self loath”. Norman pointed that out gently and firmly before returning to the game but not before saying, “Think through this tonight“.
“Wait, how did you know?” Eagle asked while watching Adrian and Mis Strong playing together happily.
“I do not know everything but the Headmaster does. He reveals whatever he wants to reveal”.
Eagle sat alone for the rest of the night thinking about what Norman had said except a few occasions when Birdy came rushing back saying, “Daddy, I won!”
