Chapter 2. Help me out here

Impatiently Kendric paced around infront of the smokescreen which lead to Master Uruk's office, waiting for him to come out. Kendric knew he was in there, Miss Bria told him so herself. Shouting his name would've bin tempting but for this moment, maybe inappropriate. He needed this conversation to be an adult one and he couldn't risk yet another Master-student speech as Master Uruk seemed to favorite them.

After pacing around for at least an hour infront of Master Uruk's office, he finally opened up the smokescreen with his lizard staff. 'Kendric, how can I help you?'

But Kendric didn't answer and without recieving any invitation he stepped into the office and sat down on one of the big pillows underneath the Akashic records tower. Master Uruk was a bit suprised by his rash behaviour but considering the circumstances he allowed it just for this once and sat down opposite of him.

'Yes, so, I have some questions.' Kendric tried to estimate Master Uruk's reaction.

'Continue.' Master Uruk said curtly and for a second there he noticed him worrying for what was to come. But Kendric couldn't care less, he was in desperate need for some answers and determination was the only thing he got going for him lately.

'Yes, well, where is Zuberi?'

'What do you exactly mean by that?' Master Uruk knew where he was going with all this, but decided to let Kendric ask his questions anyway.

'Well, his body, where is it? On Uranus? With Mes-Sanuri? And his soul, how about that? Why isn't he in heaven or whatever you call that ghost dimension? Where is he? Why can't I summon him? What is he doing? Who knows where he is and what happened after that energy ball if his spirit guides couldn't collect him? Where is he?' Kendric rambling like a madman. Every thought, concern, frustration, it just all fell out of his mouth as wordpuke.

Master Uruk got up and was the one pacing around now. 'I know you have many questions, as do I and I wished I had the answers. I have people on it, researching what exactly happened that day. It is true, we don't know where Zuberi is, not his body nor his soul. But I know this much, that energy ball wasn't created to kill anyone since Mes-Sanuri would never allowed it to kill the Chosen one by an energy ball. She needs your soul, so that much we know. That energy ball would've harmed you, yes, but not kill you!'

'So Zuberi didn't die?' Kendric felt so confused but what Master Uruk just said made a lot of sense. Mes-Sanuri needed him alive and fact is, that energy ball was meant for him.

'You see young Master Kendric, that we don't know. Even with your bodysuits, Uranus can't be survived. If the Column caused an exchange with Zuberi's body for the diamonds, he would've died instantly on arrival. But that he died, that's for sure since his spirit guides could feel him passing over. You could say that they get notified, in human language that is. But how he died? If it was due to the Columns exchange or Mes-Sanuri, we have no clue. To be perfectly honest to you, it frustrates me and keeps me up at night.'

Kendric flew up on his feet. 'Well, what are we waiting for than? Let's fly to Uranus. We could at least contract his body if he is there! We owe him that much. We owe his family that much!'

'Hold on boy, Uranus isn't a planet we can just fly through it's gaseous atmosphere and without any stable platform to land on, it's just not that easy. Let along the temperatures, pressures, and materials that characterize this planet are too extreme and volatile. Our bodysuits and spaceship can only do so much. It would be to tricky and way to much risk is involved. Besides, we don't even know for sure if Zuberi is on Uranus. Let my contacts do their work and be patient.'

'Whatever.'

Master Uruk looked surprised at Kendric's somewhat antisocial remark.

'You know, it wouldn't make any sense anyway for him to be there. Because his soul would be with the others if he were, right?' He tried to estimate Master Uruk's reaction, just in case if he would lie to him or refuse to discuss the matter any further and he would need to guess what could've happened to Zuberi.

'His soul not being there is an indication for us to assume that Mes-Sanuri absorbed his soulenergy yes. However, we can guess and gamble, or we wait and give it time in finding what has really happened to him. That would be wiser, don't you think?'

He was right, although Kendric didn't had the patience to wait. He needed to take some action right this instant.

'I know it's asking the impossible but you need to wait and don't take any action. You need to focus on the task at hand and form new alliances, prepare humanity for the next evolution and mantain your alliances ties. So get busy, you still have so much to learn. If one thing you should've learned from all of this, is that you don't want to loose another fellow truthseeker right?' Master Uruk enforced Kendric to listen and act on it with his stern look.

He gave a quick nod and left his office. On his way back to the Messhall he thought back at Master Uruk's words. He was right. He didn't want something like this ever happening again and needed to prevent it at all cause. The only way to do so, was to train harder. That much he was obligated as the Chosen one to his fellow truthseekers and most of all, to Zuberi.

Infront of the messhall he quickly turned back left to the exercise room. The others probably were still in class with Miss Bria and this was something he needed to do alone anyway. He had a direct line to the Source, all powers at will, if only he learned how to control them all.

He wandered through the hallways, on autopilot toward the exercise room, thinking of all the way's he could train himself.

Marcellus ran in on him: 'Kendric, I was looking for you. So our B.O.T. it's a huge hit online! We have over a million followers and growing rapidly. When do you want to create the next content?'

Kendric totally forgot about the B.O.T. and he had way to much going on at the moment anyway.

'You guys continue with it ok? I just can't right now.' And he rushed himself to the exercise room leaving Marcellus stunned.

Standing on the hill, he realised that he had played around enough with fire. It was time for him to train his other abilities. Develop levitation, astral projection, telekineses or...

... how could he not think of that sooner? Divination was the way to go! What better way than to honour his best friend by developing the power Zuberi had mastered so quickly in their first year. But how exactly?

Kendric came to realise that he knew little to nothing about Zuberi's divination power. There was only one room who could provide him with the knowledge he was seeking.

The library!

He rushed himself to the library and searched for as many books that he could find. There were a plethora of books about many abilities but none of them wrote about divination. The librarians came to help him out. They were these old ancient creatures, thin long dark bodies, emitting blue light from their long thin fingers and extremely wide eyes. They made a buzzing sound if they moved so they could never sneek up on you, which was actually quite nice and pleasant as if they were serene creatures, made to make you feel at ease.

'Master Origins, you won't find anything here that you don't already know. Divination is a rare power, often misunderstood and mastered by those whose forefathers mastered it before them. It is sacred and ancient knowledge often to be found in indigenous tribes from the old lands. Therefore you would need to seek out the old lands and obtain the knowledge from the divination masters. To those who don't write about it, those who don't speak of it and those who only teach the worthy.'

'Will I be challenged?'

'You will be tested.' The librarians got back to their old oak desks which were standing in the middle of the library in a circle on a platform.

Kendric left the library knewing exactly what his next mission would be. He would need to steal a spaceship, fly and control it alone and go to these old lands the librarians were talking about. But he neved had flown a spaceship alone, was it even possible? They were made for a crew, not a single person. He needed to see the A.I. she would know what his options were. But he needed her to be quiet about it as well. He would need...

Marcellus!!!
