A deafening silenced filled the golden messhall and Master Uruk just stood there in front of the teacherstable. Normally he would've scraped his throat by now and began one of his famous speeches, but it seemed just for once, he was speechless as they all were.
Yrsa tried to catch a glimpse of Kendric, but he sat there in silence while staring at the ground, barely moving. The only thing she could see was an empty shell, a lost soul, broken in two...
'Ahum.' Master Uruk cleared his throat and stared into the messhall with the same emptyness that possessed Kendric.
'I have lived a long life...,' and he cleared his throat once more, 'a long life and lost many lovedones. I wish I could tell you that you get used to it but unfortunately it never will. Death is a part of life, as death doesn't truly exists and therefor life always continues, one way or another. But the Zuberi that you came to know, that life has ended. But as Enki told Zuberi's teammates and dear friends, we may mourn him but he deserves our upmost respect for the biggest sacrifice that exists in life. He is a true hero and he paid with his life to protect humanity, to protect the Earth and to protect his best friend the Chosen one. He paid the highest price and we shall never forget! So let's remember and honour him and place him on the wall of the fallen heroes that fell before him.'
Master Uruk let a small turmalin pyramid appear in his hand with his lizard staff and ingraved Zuberi's name in gold on to the pyramid. The leftwall from the messhall carried a lot of these little pyramids and Master Uruk placed Zuberi's pyramid into the wall as well.
"Zuberi, hero and saviour of mankind."
That sentence shimmered underneath the pyramid in golden letters.
Some truthseekers took a second to show their respect before they left the messhall. Kendric wanted to show his respect but he didn't want to take the chance that someone would try to talk to him, so he hurried himself back to his dorm and decided to skipp class when the blue colourline lit up.
He played with Axel the Axolotl for a while on his bed. Axel had grown a bit and looked wiser although Kendric couldn't tell why. The little lizard looking creature kept stroking Kendric's hand with his odd but cute looking head. It seemed he was seeking for attention but after a few seconds Kendric felt the two cuts in the palm of his hand tingle. As he opened his hand he noticed the wounds were healing.
Oh I totally forgot Axel has regenerative powers.
'Thanks little buddy, I didn't know you could do that to others as well. Apperently you also have powers and a great one at that.'
Axel fell asleep in his hand while Kendric stared at the ceiling, thinking back at Antartica and what had happened on the Southpole. He couldn't get the image out of his mind of Zuberi jumping infront of him and catching that energy ball with his body.
He wanted to hate him for it, be angry at him for an eternity! But he couldn't. Fact was, Zuberi saved his life and actually with activiting the last part of the electro magnetic grid, he probably saved all of humanity or at least bought them some time. How can you be angry at someone who saved the world? But he wished he was allowed to hate him for what he did, everything was better than carrying around this awfull feeling. He wished he could kick everything around him, destroy it all until there was nothing left.
Wait, I actually can!
Kendric placed Axel back in his aquarium and left the dormitory in a hurry. On his way to the exercise room he bumped into Zasha who's make-up was smudged from crying. Lost for words he tried to avoid eye contact. He just couldn't handle another persons grieving right now, he had his hands full of his own anger management issues.
'Kendric, what happened?' Zasha sniffed and with her big sad puppy eyes it was nearly impossible to ignore her.
'Zasha, I'm sorry, but I can't.' And he ran off towards the exercise room. He knew it was awful to ignore her like that, certainly because Zuberi and Zasha had a strange thing going on since they went to the Ball together but he just didn't had the strength to deal with this all.

In the exercise room he stood again on his familiar hill from his hometown Portree on the Isle of Skye. He shot powerful fire balls out of his hands, flew around while fire spat out of his feet and went faster and faster until he was so out of breath that he landed back on the hill again. He screamed as loud as he could out of frustration and again and again. A dragon made out of fire left his wide open mouth while he yelled his lungs out and fell on his knees.
'Brother, W-H-Y-Y-Y-Y-Y-Y?!!?' And he cried his eyes out as he whispered one more time his brother's name.
'You are going to be alright Kenny.'
He heard a familiar voice from behind him but didn't had the strength anymore to turn around and face her. Suddenly he realised that Charleze is a spiritguide.
Maybe...was that even possible? Could it be?
'Where is he? Can you contact him? Get him for me?' Kendric asked desperately with tears still falling out of his eyes.
'Oh Kenny...'
Was that a no? Why? Impossible or possible? Can she???
'It doesn't work like that, there are rules that prevent contact in the way that you would like and wish for and even if there were not, he uhm, well he isn't here.'
'Where is here? And why isn't he there or here or wherever?'
'He's just not, I don't know why. That goes above my paygrade. I overheard his guides, well actually I overfelt, sort of speak. I felt your loss in that instance and automatically tapped in on theirs. Normally they would pick him up, but there was nothing to pick up. Are you following me?' Charleze wasn't confident if she did best by telling him all this.
'What do you mean? He isn't dead or is he and if so where is his soul? Why couldn't he be picked up? Does Mes-Sanuri have him? Did she took his soulenergy, absorbed him? We couldn't see, those damn diamond's, I couldn't see Charleze, I couldn't see!'
'I know Kenny, believe me I know. I picked up every emotion that you had and it was devastating! But I don't have the answers for you and I think this is a conversation that you need to have with your grandma. But I am here for you ok? Always, for whatever you need!' She kissed him on the forehead and showed her pity with her beautiful but sad looking blue eyes. Kendric nodded and he was actually planning on taking her up for that, right...now!
'Could you get my grandma?' He asked determined for her to grand him his wish and not planning on settling down anytime soon but Charleze shook her pretty little ghosthead.
'You will see her soon Kenny, when you are ready. Unfortunately I need to go now, duty calls. Take care Kenny and remember, I am only one call away.' She kissed him this time on his cheek and transformed back to an orb.
Kendric was left unsatisfied and even more upset then before. Out of anger he smashed fireballs into all kind of directions, looking to destroy everything around him.
'Kendric?' Zasha came flying in and he actually saw her concerned face for the very first time since it seemed she normally didn't care for much other than herself.
She let herself fall onto the gras, laid down and stared at the fake blue Portree sky. 'I liked him you know? I really did and we had a great time at the ball. I know I provoked him sometimes, but that's just me not showing my true feelings and fact is, I liked him.'
Kendric actually felt sorry for her, there where just an hour ago he didn't even knew what exactly they had going for them. Zuberi joked around a lot, could have serious conversations as well though, but he just never spoke about Zasha in that way. He noticed the weird vibe between them though, oftentimes he could pick it up as well. Why didn't he never talked about it with his brother? Was he so selfabsorbed with all his own drama that he just never shown interest in others? Not even in the best and only brother he ever had?
'I know you are not ready to talk about it. But if you are, please tell me how he died. I...,' she abruptly stopped talking and had to swallow her sadness so she wouldn't burst out in tears again which prevented her from talking about him at all, 'I really really liked him.'
Kendric didn't move a muscle as he stood frozen to the ground. With every tear that left her eyes, it was harder to be a gentleman and offer her comfort without loosing the control of his own emotions. Was he obligated to Zuberi to take care of Zasha? What would be Zuberi's last wish? Should they inform his family? Would they remember him when he died, did the spell break?
Obviously, Kendric was left with a bunch of questions and he was in desperate need for some answers.
'Zasha, I need to go now to talk to Master Uruk. But I promise you, if I have the answers, you'll be the first to know!'
'Haven't you talked to him already?' She asked suprised that this wasn't the first thing he did when they returned from the Column caves.
'Well he read my mind with his staff but that's about it and I was I guess... still in shock. Not thinking clearly you know? I needed some time. But that time is now. See you later ok? Oh and don't be alone. Believe me, it's not good for us to be alone right now.' Kendric and Zasha observed the damage he had caused in the exercise room and he smirked at her.
'Anger management.' He noted with an even bigger smirk and flew through the wormhole to look for Master Uruk.
