Kee's Chronicles :The Forgotten Odyssey
Broken Dream, A plan and an Opportunity?

Broken Dream, A plan and an Opportunity?

This can't be happening to me!!!!...

To cast magic, you can send out your own magicules to command those in the surrounding environment to cast spells. This way, you don't always have to use your own magicule store.

Alternatively, you can cast directly, but it takes more magicules. However, I have some kind of defect or something that makes my magicules get weaker as they leave my body. Therefore, I can only use them to strengthen defense or rather muscle, heal for which I already have a skill, or anything else I can imagine, but only on myself. I could also try to cast directly using the surrounding magic, but that is more exhausting and dependent on luck since there's no guarantee the place I fight will have high magicule concentration.

At most, I can perform basic spells or phenomena the size of cannonballs or smaller, and that too can be repeated only 5-6 times. That's practically nothing against the monsters in this world. Plus, it would be at most as fast as a ball thrown in cricket or baseball, meaning most people could easily dodge it.

Sniffle, sniffle.

Why must my dreams of magic be shattered?

Sob, sob.

On a serious note, I need to calm down and think about what I really want to do, considering the memories I possess and guessing the ones I lost, and how to achieve this goal realistically. Let's meditate on it.

I'll begin by organizing what I remember and guessing the rest:

* Fighting/assassination skills: I probably needed them for my job because I seem to remember how to efficiently break a human body.

* Some basic knowledge on subjects like physics, chemistry, cooking, hunting, botany, housekeeping, miscellaneous (novels, comics) enough for about a 10-15-year-old.

* Myself being Kee, an artificially created being with the purpose of… something.

Alright, so I assume I was some kind of spy and that I'm older than a century i think...can people actually live that long? Well not that it matters as long as I don't fell old and weak. What I can actually remember is only about 15 years' worth of random sections related to the knowledge I have. I don't have any other memories except that I was recently a student trying to kill the kid lying next to me with dark brown hair, Raymond Tsukasa, and it wasn't personal but a stepping stone for my purpose?

Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

Then, what about my desires? Traveling—I want to explore the world. If possible, perhaps learn my older memories, but it's not necessary.

A plan—to travel safely. I'm thinking maybe a flying ship. Perhaps, I mean, this is a magical world, so it should have one. But more than that, I need knowledge, perhaps from a library, preferably related to some kind of royal family, and sneak in to access some forbidden books so my knowledge isn't lacking.

I guess I will have to travel aimlessly till I reach a city, get information there for a library, and move on.

Absorption of core complete.

Oh, it wasn't done completely?

Magicule stores expanded, attempting to acquire steel threads, failed… substituting… learned extra skill, Magic Sense.

Knowledge related to the skill flowed in.

A way to perceive the world around me at once and see using magicules and requires few magicules, it's like being able to see 360 degrees with every detail. I can see everything down to the tiniest detail if I focus but its slightly draining not to much though. It's amazing, but what's not so amazing is that cave with a door at the foot of the mountains. Even locked, its entrance is leaking an aura similar to the knight spider. I'm not ready to go in there yet.

I'll likely die if I do so now. But should I go or look for a library first?

The area around the cave is eerily silent, with a chilling breeze that seems to whisper secrets of ancient dangers. The stone door itself is adorned with intricate carvings, telling tales of long-forgotten battles and heroic deeds. The aura seeping through the cracks feels almost alive, pulsing with a rhythm that matches my own heartbeat.

My miscellaneous knowledge is telling me to forget about the library and go there first. After all, there's always something to learn at such a location. The allure of uncovering secrets hidden for centuries is too strong to resist.

UUUGGGHHH!!… YOLO… let's go!!! The library can wait, it's not going anywhere, but this could be found by others. Or rather, since there are doors, it's something somebody must have made. But it's locked, and it looks like nobody has come for at least a few decades at least maybe a century… hhmm… an ancient ruin?

My curiosity piqued, I take a deep breath and step forward, feeling a mix of excitement and dread. This could be the adventure I've been longing for, a chance to discover something truly extraordinary.

My heart races as I approach the door, ready to face whatever lies beyond.

Wait.

A bellcousie expression was making its way on Kee's face but he suddenly realized his food situation, it would be bad as he didn't know how long it would be before he would be out.

‘Let's try making jerky out of the knight spider meat. It should last at least a week. I'm sure I'll find monsters that I could eat inside’

And so his expedition into a suspicious cave started but ran into a problem straight away, but at least there was a nearby solution.
