Eileen:

Eileen was in her house, along with the unconscious boy, Kerrio, and the old man who set them free.

"Hey, sir. I need to privately talk with my son. Could you please leave until I finish?", she asked the old man, looking at him.

"Certainly, ma'am. I'll close the door. Call me when the demon wakes up,", he answered.

"He's not a demon, you old fool!", Kerrio said in a serious tone.

"Respect your elders, Kerrio! Don't insult others,", she chastised.

"No, it's alright. I believe those two will be friends, so defending him is what I hoped for him to do, actually. "Anyway, I won't delay you any longer,", the man said. He stood up and left the guest room, closing the door with a quiet thud.

"What is his name, son? Quilsom?", Eileen asked Kerrio.

"Queltsom Unknown. That's what the system told me,", the boy answered.

"We don't know his last name, so we can send him back home?", she asked.

"Usually, if I don't know the last name of someone, it says (hidden). Unknown just means that not even the system knows his last name,", he said.

"How could that be?", the woman asked.

"I don't know. Let's just hope he survives this. He... saved you that last time, when you fought with that swordswoman. He did some kind of body control and battled her through you, after he implanted you with something called an essence fragment seedling,", Kerrio said softly.

"I... remember that. It kept buzzing at me, yet I understood it. It knew that I couldn't fight, so it did it for me. It protected me. But why?", she replied.

"I don't know either, mom. Let's just hope he doesn't lose himself or his memories,", Kerrio told her. They heard a groan in Queltsom's direction.

"Where am I? Where am I? Dragnoria, where are you? Get me out of here! No, pain, pain, pain! I can't stand it! Why does my head hurt, my body hurt, everything... everything hurts, and I don't know how to stop it? Graaaaaa!", he said.

"What's wrong with him?", Eileen said fearfully.

*Knock knock*, they heard from the door.

"He's going through mental shock. Can I come in?", the old man's voice said.

"Enter...", Apparently, he didn't wait for her to give him permission before he burst through the door and quickly ran toward Queltsom.

"Sir, he's not well!", Eileen said in a higher voice.

"I can help him. Don't worry,", the man replied. When he reached the boy, he put his hand on his head. Queltsom immediately started to flail around and roar like a monster, much like when she met him for the first time.

"Enemy? Are you my enemy? Enemy enemy? Enemy? Enemy or not enemy?", he said, still roaring.

"Not an enemy. Now stop squirming around so I can check you!", the old man told him.

"And why should I believe you, huh?", Queltsom said, his voice only coming from the left side of his lips, causing it to come out as a breathy hiss.

"Because if you don't, those two will die."

"Two? Die?", he asked, still roaring. "You threaten them?" His eyes shone red in the center of the iris, while the rest were still ethearial as before.

"What? The boy screamed before the old man could continue."Don't... you... dare!".

The blood-red spot expanded to cover the whole surface of his eyes, then an inky black vapor emanated from the eyebrows and started rotating around his body. Queltsom's form expanded, and the color of his skin turned blood red. His mouth elongated and filled itself with razor-sharp teeth, and his fingernails turned into sharp and horrific claws. The form of the beast became taller and taller until it reached the ceiling. Then it let out a roar that shook everyone to their core. "Braaaaaaaaarshrshrshrshrshrshr!".

"I... know that form. I saw him fight Rogan in it before I engaged the man, but this is much more powerful!", Brel thought.

The beast looked around, its eyes open, unlike the blind boy from whom it emerged. It gazed at Eileen, and its eyes lit up in recognition.

"Rei. Ddee. Ai. Reen?", it asked in a voice that sent chills down everyone's spines. Then it gazed at Kerrio, snorting in disdain. Finally, it looked at the one responsible for bringing it out. It bared its fangs and sneered at him.

"Come at me, beast!", the old man challenged.

"Rah hah hah haa!", it laughed, looking at the staff beside the door. It snapped its clawed fingers, and the staff flew out the window and into the street of the village below.

"Hey, my staff! Come back here!", the man screamed. The beast ran, and the man chased it.

It bolted out the door, with the old man right behind it. They ran out of the house and into the street, where no ceiling prevented the beast from lengthening and thickening its form further and further, until it reached the height of 10 feet. The man found the staff lying somewhere to the left, so he picked it up and faced the beast. They glared at each other for a full minute or two, then the beast lunged. It slashed at his arms with a clawed finger from each of its hands, but the man dodged it. It then extended the smallest finger to slice him, but the staff shortened itself and moved to block the strike. They kept at this for a while, each of the combatants gauging the strength of their opponent.

"Brarctic rauraa!", it shouted. An icy chill extended from the beast's outstreched hands, coating the ground in a layer of frost. The man froze. The cold increased in intensity, and the wind picked up speed.

*Boom*! The old man found himself on the ground as a result of an explosive punch that he didn't even see coming. The cold had stopped by now, and the man quickly stood up. The beast panted lightly and looked at him with a (How do you like that, sucker?) expression. It sneered once more.

"I'm tired of this. I want to train you, so I won't waste time playing with you. We'll do that after I teach you a lesson,", he told the beast.

The staff vibrated with power, and black energy trailed from its end. The blackness grew until it reached the size of a human, then it turned into the shape of one, wearing dark robes and wielding a shadowy blade. "Wrath of the shade lord!". Instead of the energy impacting the beast with a loud boom, the unexpected happened. The power drained out of the staff and into the beast's clawed hand. The energy reshaped itself into its usual form, a dark-robed man, and the beast said the name of the move in a twisted and abhorrent manner.

"Graath oov duh shade rord!" The energy hit the old man and sent him stumbling to the ground. He felt a lot of wounds on his body. It was a lesser version of the staff's move, but it still hurt like heck! Thankfully, the beast seemed to run out of energy because it retracted its bladed limbs, shrank to the boy's normal size, and the red on its skin faded into brown again. The red of his eyes shrank back and disappeared, showing their etherial color. The boy fell forward, unconscious. Brelethro stood up, dusted himself off, and carried the boy back into the house.

"Did he leave because he recognized you, or did he just want to grow bigger?", Kerrio asked Eileen. "I honestly don't know,", she replied. "What was that? That buzzing thing was screaming at me, and I felt its pain. It kept saying, Anger, anger, anger. Until it abruptly stopped. This is bad, Kerrio. Can you ask the system to help you?", she said in a soft voice.

"I can try, I guess. Hold on,", he said.

"Would you like to give a name to: essence fragment seedling newborn? This will allow you to summon it through your own energy by expanding your bond,", the system said.

"sovereign of buzz?", Kerrio asked allowed.

"Are you sure you want to give the name 'sovereign of buzz' to the essence fragment seedling newborn? Confirm/deny?".

"Yes, confirm,", he said, while touching the button with his thoughts at the same time. He felt an instinctual understanding bloom within his mind. He knew how to summon the seedling, so he did just that.

"Sovereign of buzz! Come forth!", Kerrio shouted aloud, and a blurry image of a humanoid with no distinctive features materialized in front of him.

"Greetings, hostess. Greetings, second master. How may I help you?", a deep and gravelly voice spoke to them, but the mouth of the image didn't move.

"What was wrong with the Holder earlier?" Why were you screaming?", Kerrio asked.

"Anger.", the voice replied.

"What does that mean?" Explain to us!", Eileen pleaded.

"Anger!", it said louder this time.

"You told me the same thing when I asked you earlier, and that's why I summoned you physically. I command you to explain to me what's wrong with Queltsom!", Kerrio ordered, his voice reverberating with a visible impact on the image.

"The mind was shattered by an enemy. The soul is tormented by another. Anger. Anger. Anger!", it said.

"Why did you dodge my question? Why did you disobey?", Kerrio asked, exasperated.

"I did not disobey anything, second master. You simply asked me to tell you what happened to my origin, so I told you what I knew upon entering this world and splitting from his consciousness. In other words, the master split himself to protect the host, and he lost a portion of his being upon doing so. The only thing I know other than that is anger. Anger. Anger. Anger. Anger! I'll be seeing you later, second master. Goodbye hostess. Hope we meet under better circumstances next time,", it said.

"Wait, don't leave! I want to ask you something else!", Kerrio screamed at the image. "Why did he want to protect the hostess so badly that he split himself for it? What does he owe her that I don't know? I deserve the answer!"

"He woke up disoriented, finding himself in a place he didn't recognize, away from all the sapients he ever knew in his life. The next thing, guards come and attack him and try to kidnap him. He tries to fight back, but he is chained to the ground by a noble, the so-called leader of this place. The hostess was the only sapient who didn't torture him, imprison him, or plot for his enslavement, and you are the second sapient next to her. That is why I accepted you as my second master. I knew you weren't like the others. If the master finds a way to return me to his being, then my individual consciousness will cease to exist and his soul will stabilize. Now, farewell, masters,", he finished. The image disappeared with a swoosh, and a green wisp returned to Kerrio's body.

"That was a lot to take in, I'll give you that. Split his soul did he? You gotta be extremely brave or extremely foolish to do that stuff,", a certain old man known as Brelethro Vergan chimed in. "Don't worry, I won't tell anyone about that summon you called,", he added.

"It's you, old man. Where were you?", Kerrio asked him.

"I was taming a new beasty. Well, he almost killed me. If he didn't lose his strength when he did, I would be dust right now, but you get the idea. Take care of him, runty. I don't want my disciple to get hurt more than he actually is. Let him heal and keep him company until he gets better. It'll help a lot,", he replied.
