“Do you have any clothes that could fit with an adventurer armor. I am also on a low budget, so anything cheap would be appreciated.”

She led me to a corner section, and pointed to them and said, “Here is the clothing made from material from monsters. She continued, “These monsters material clothing is most suitable for people who are scouting or adventuring since they are durable and provide a bit of armor without the actual armor.”

I looked at the clothing and asked, “Is there a different color?”

“We could have it dyed of course, but that would charge you extra.”

“Alright, thank you for your help, let me take a look.”

She left me alone and went back to the counter as I turned back to look at the clothing. I want to focus my armor on durability and flexibility, I didn’t want to risk my life over some question mark on my health stats. I also wanted to get a new weapon, some crack had begun to form on the blade.

Now that I think about it, wouldn’t appraisal magic come in handy? But then, that would seem too overpowered, I wonder if such magic exists in the first place.

I looked at the price tag listed below the clothing and I began to calculate how much I needed to fit the clothes inside my budget. I was half crying and half dying inside after I remembered the amount of wealth those Isekai people and reincarnators possessed. In the end, I chose a long-sleeved shirt and leggings that were made out of cow’s hide. I had it dyed dark brown because I want to merge with the trees when I am hunting, let hope that the monsters don’t have some insane sixth sense ability. That was three franc, 15 iron coins for the shirt, 10 iron coins for the leggings, and 5 coins to dye it. I kept one franc on me for an emergency, and I spent the leftover iron coins on some cow’s hide boot to match with the set. It seems that my order will be finished by tonight. I paid for the order and went out of the shop.

I had nothing to do at the moment so I asked for the direction toward the barrier because I wanted to see what it looked like before tomorrow’s event start. By then, it would be too crowded to get a good look. I asked multiple shop owners before reaching here, there were fences surrounding the barrier. The fences seemed to mark the line of the concealed barrier. On top of the barrier, a ray of darkness shot toward the sky. I couldn’t see what’s inside the barrier, but I heard that nobody could either.

Although you could see the other side even though the barrier is in place, which made it looked like nothing was inside the barrier in the first place, except for a beam that was shot out the barrier. I looked at the sun setting through the barrier, and it would be beautiful if there wasn’t a black beam shooting out. With the black beam, it looked like an upside-down orange lollipop.

I was about to turn around and walked back to the Hope’s Beacon, but then a pop sound rung out and a beam of white light shot out of the barrier. It seemed to illuminate the surrounding with the bright light, shops began to turn on their own light as a sign of this signal. My body reacted naturally with this scene of light, one of my hands reached into my pocket and pulled out my phone and my body started to take pictures of this magnificent scene in front of me. After a couple of minutes, I regain control of my body. I looked at my phone to look at the pictures taken, but all of a sudden, my phone blanked out. Then, a red battery with a slash in the middle was shown, I collapsed as I soon as I registered what happened.

I tried so hard not to scream out loud, but it was inevitable that my phone died because I didn’t charge it for a long time. I put it back in my pocket after I paid my respect to the service my phone had done me over the days and years. I returned back to the inn with a saddened look on my face. I sat on a table and called for dinner.

Delfer who came over and noticed my looks asked me, “What’s wrong, did you not find what you wanted to find?”

“I found what I needed, but it seemed that an object I had gone out of an energy source, I am just a bit sad, that’s all because I couldn’t get a new energy source,” I said.

“Welp, I don’t want to give you hope, but if you can go to Chrono, the continent next to us, then you could probably get it fixed. That place had outstanding technologies, the clock was introduced by one of their companies, they sold the blueprints on how to make them to our capital and Astrad, the last major continent.” Delfer explained.

“By the way, um, what’s the name of the continent we are on,” I asked.

“... Welp, everyone has their own circumstances, our continent is called Duvine, our current king is named Ascall Leifus Duvine. It would be fine if you don’t know our king’s name back then, but once you reach places like the capital, it would become necessary to know the names, you got it? You might be arrested for lèse-majesté. Nobody could help you then, it would be a shame to let go of such good potential.” With each said sentence, Delfer’s face inched closer to mine.

“A-alright, I got it…” I was a bit surprised by the sudden change.

Delfer was then hit in the back of the head, and replacing Delfer was Sally, Delfer’s wife. “Sorry for his behavior, it just that his childhood ain’t exactly normal. Can I have your order?” She said.

I looked through the menu and placed my order as Sally dragged the half-conscious Delfer back to the reception table. I gave my thanks before heading out to the clothing store to pick up my new clothes. I was able to successfully get it without any troubles even though it’s night time. I went back to my room and changed to the new set. Without a mirror, I can’t really see what I looked like, but I felt comfortable in it, so it’s probably fine, since it was cheap. I opened up my menu to check if anything had changed. After confirming it, the tiredness from all that fighting surfaced, and so I slept to my heart’s content.
