So this is my first time writing and even though it's a fanfiction im still quite happy with how things are going. Actually writing one of these instead of reading changes perspective on how you read fanfiction for example I didn't really like fanfiction where the Mc has a op growth type ability and is straight away tossed into the main plot or close to dangerous event's because to me that just feels forced. I now understand it's done because the basics of any fanfic is self insert interaction with the characters in the narrative and as such growth ability or not the Mc is facing bandits and mobs to grow while interacting with characters despite the more logical move of get op first and then come down the mountain.

I did this with my fic by placing Mc on a island to develop But then I ran into the challenge of making this a game of thrones fiction and not a island in generic place that could exist anywhere. By incorporating characters and locations from GOT without 30 chapters of build up and just running down the op tech that will likely never be shown working and has no use in the context of the world but has been developed or how big the empire is now or how strong it's military is.

The Mc and how I see him.

He is a white sheet of paper with just enough to make him relatable and able for the reader to self insert into his actions much like most OK fanfiction nothing special but good enough for a quick read. I don't know if there will be anything actually good with his character in terms of development as this story by nature is a wish fulfillment fanfiction not a shonin or deep story. I chose to keep the name Gojo due to human nature for example if you made a fanfiction named your Mc Greg gave him the body of fate Gilgamesh and believe your Mc was cool and kingly with godly pride. I as a reader simply couldn't because his name is Grag there's like a thousands of those guys and gool and kingly is not what I think of when I read "Greg the king of kings " but Gilgamesh has fame he has cemented himself as one of those guys with the energy in my mind to do anything while looking like a badass. By chapter 150 of Greg's story I've probably forgotten what he looks like and now I'm just imagining a random dude. So yeah In your fanfic keep the name of the body not your lame ass name that tells me nothing about what you look like because you aren't as famous as Gojo or Gilgamesh. Ahem moving on I apologize to all the Greg's I've slandered.

Insperations and ramblings about other story's .

I built this story from the pain of disappointments and love hate relationships with other Got fanfiction or just fanfiction in general. That ties into what I like while maintaining a realistic ish mindset by this I mean I love my power stomps, my competent Mcs, my realistic time lines, my requirements for kingdom building and my fanfiction world not growing really strong due to hidden masters only showing up to challenge the Mc but have gone unnoticed and not changed time lines just by existing.

Recommendations, BIG SPOILERS and ranting for Purple Days fanfiction so don't read next paragraph before reading it.

I was hesitant to read as I don't care for Joffrey but that was some dam good fanfiction when I actually got through it but I did have some problems that I loved and hated for example any fanfiction has a reliance on the most recognizable locations and characters of the work it's based on but this Mc went to the east and the five forts for a very long period of time yeah it made sense and yes the chapters writing was great but there was less of that sweet sweet Game of thrones fanfiction stuff. It was still great development and filling in the world more so yeah as a reader wanting got content and the getting fan made ancient China was not very good but it's so well written that I'll forgive them.

It also had another problem for me. Explaining everything about what's happening and power creep because Mc exists. I still love the moment everything is revealed you get this madman underground talking to the long dead. You just imagine that movie scene in your head and it's so good but I personally would of prefered in hindsight not knowing everything it was so good with the endrich mystery that surrounded timelooping and I think it lost some of that by the end sometimes a mystery isn't better explained I feel.

Lastly power creep it just turns me off from a story just let op Mc be op in purple days this happens in a way that makes complete sense for what's going on but I much prefer eldritch unexplained horror over oh you are in a 2 step extinction plan set up by higher dimensional beings that no one before you has survived and here's a girl that's your soul mate to keep you going but she's also a sacrifice to end it all but the writer is so good at writing that I have to give it a lemon out of ten would recommend.

I got my hatred of power creep and a longing to write so well from this fanfiction.

Next insperations were Valkyries shadow and Starcraft in the palm of my hand. I like both these stories but they still have problems that I am trying to stay away from in my fanfiction. I'm not as good a writer but it's still good to learn from others. Valkyries shadow is great but suffers from its political padding that lengthens the story and it's extremely long dialogue further exasperates this time. The world can seem to stop for a reader as we here characters talk or think that being said for what seems like days. It's still great just get some audio and binge and it's really long and well thought out. It also still suffers from explaining absolutely everything about the world and power creep from far away nations that are far more powerful but it is intentional for this kind of very deep kingdom building fanfiction and doesn't break the word to much as the original overlord also said there are more powerful nations. Overall great I rate it 9 out of cat very good fanfiction if that's what your into.

What I got from this story that I am trying to incorporating into mine was the political and economic based Dialog , How a culture and nation will have a geopolitical impact on the wider world as well as individuals attempting to process the new reality that modern civilization brings. And how time makes a people and nations grow and change.

Starcraft in the palm of my hand is MTL and as such it's kind of OK but not great it has problems such as a ability to broken for the world that is limited by the writer, A Cultivation system hidden as a Jedi order that kind of thing just isn't for me as I've read like 3 Cultivation story's and they all just blurred together.

And unfortunately a Mc that is mostly a spawner for highly competent subordinates with none of the fear, suspicion or horror that would be interesting form having made life or something from your hand or pocket space. But it's still in a very interesting world with decent world building and a relatively smart kingdom building ark. Over all I rate it great lion over dragon fist.

I got the idea of limited nanites as a realistic way to actually make a advanced kingdom without it taking centuries.

OK with my shameless reviews and recommendations out of the way let's get back to my little fanfiction. I realized while writing this that it's hard to keep track of time and ages especially when I write every few days and edit the chapter just before release thus changing some things and forgetting others I feel the Mc should be around 10 or 11 at the end of arc one so it's taken roughly 5 years to develop a civilization pushing it if it was humans but these are highly advanced sifi bullshit machines so it's fine. Sansa is 13 at the start of the show and Mc is to be 15 at the start of the show but this will change with the use of sifi bullshit and genetic enhancements.

The next arc should be a streamline version of Got season 1 with our Mc messing around in the background and having fun collecting harem members mostly out of a need to catch them all. But this will not be your typical Japanese harem or fanfiction harem were the Mc uses "kindness" or the excuse of to much stamina to win over girls and everything is sunshine and rainbows becoming sex bots and the Mcs chear leading squad supporting him always no this will class room of the elite or imperial china's harem there will be power plays, deception, bitching. Love is war and girls are scary creatures or so I've been told.

Next we must mention the mentality and outlook on life of the natives is very different from our Mc. I've read fanfiction were the Mc is tossed into a backward world that should have very different values but the first female they meet shares a modern outlook on life and everythings happy ever after.

No this is GOT I've tried to subtlety hint at this with our Mcs new maid she's designed to reference all the bad shit about Planitos it has Cannibalism, rape, no legal age limits, slavery as a very real and common reality for the people of that world in very high quantities and this is shown by the Gojo and Serras outlook she's desperate to seduce him because that for her is security in position and job as that's what she's been taught, what she's seen from the boys and girls in Lys that she grew up with but gojo is still getting over his Old worlds morality and sees sex it as nothing more than pleasure that's all not all the little things that go into that politically and socially for a servant of the time. She will also act as the Mcs caretaker and maid but not a wife or queen. Also our Mc is not going to wast time awakening some power or magic bs for his harem members as a whole sifi nation is enough security. And he's not a licking dog to main cast.

I'm actually a bit scared at writing sex scenes but no true game of thrones fanfiction is complete without at least that much so this is the hole I've dug for myself. I've tried to balance reality and fantasy in my smut writing because I want to show that it's very much a joint experience and honestly some parts aren't as pleasant as the internet would suggest but you push through for your partner.

For the next act I'll try doing chapters per episode of got as it's been years since I watched the real thing and I'll keep going until the timeline breaks due to Mcs activities or a Season of complete crap comes up. Then it's just up to me to end the white walkers and end the story. I don't think I'll be exploring much more of the world or other worlds as this is a got fanfiction not a world of Planitos in a wide universe fanfiction. I will try to drop interesting bits of lore and other stuff in the background if you pay attention.
