Chapter thirteen: Servant of lord reginald

Chapter thirteen: Servant of lord reginald

A large, luxurious bedroom in a castle. A six-year-old boy, REGINALD, is sitting on his bed, looking at a book. His father, the VISCOUNT, enters the room.

Viscount Felina: :Reginald, it's time to go to church.

Reginald: Yes, Mother, I have been eagerly waiting for this day. But I must admit, I find the process rather tedious.

Viscount Felina: :It's not boring, my son. It's important.

Reginald: Why is it important?

Viscount Felina: :Because it's where we learn about God.

Reginald: I don't believe in God.

Viscount Felina: :Of course, you believe in God. Everyone believes in God.

Reginald: I don't.

Viscount Felina: :Yes, you do. You just don't know it yet.

Reginald: I do know it! I don't believe in God!

Viscount Felina: :Reginald, please don't talk like that. It's disrespectful.

Reginald: I apologize, Father, but I genuinely don't share the same belief.

Viscount Felina: :Reginald, you're going to church whether you like it or not. Now, get up and get dressed.

Reginald: Very well, Father.

(Reginald gets up and starts to get dressed. The Viscount sighs.)

Viscount Felina: :I don't know what's gotten into you lately. You've been so disrespectful and rebellious.

Reginald: I'm not disrespectful. I'm just being honest.

Viscount Felina: :Honesty is one thing, but this is something else. You're starting to sound like a commoner.

Reginald: Father, please don't insult me by comparing me to commoners. We were born into nobility, unlike the commoners who are believed to be born as a result of past-life sins.

Stolen novel; please report.

Viscount Felina: :I understand, but remember, we must maintain decorum in the church. There will be high-ranking nobility attending, and the queen has requested the presence of the High Priest.

Reginald: Why the High Priest?

Viscount Felina: "We're not certain, but it seems there is a significant event or a child with exceptional potential to be born today."

Hearing his father's words, Reginald thought he was the one who would be the exceptional child whose talent would be known to the world. Excited, he eagerly looked forward to going to church.

After some time, when Reginald arrived at the church with his father, he saw many children with their parents. High-ranking nobility and soldiers were also present, all maintaining decorum in the presence of the High Priest.

A priest came to the podium and announced, "The High Priest is currently in prayer, so it will take some time to start the ceremony. Until then, please pray to the gods of Olympus."

Upon hearing this, people began to socialize, and Reginald started looking around. He noticed a boy with dark blue eyes, black hair, and fair skin. Seeing the boy, he couldn't help but feel inferior. He thought the boy must belong to the highest class of nobility and walked towards him to introduce himself.

Reginald: "Hi, my name is Reginald. I am the son of Viscount Felina. May I know who you are, esteemed sir?"

Hearing this, Barfi looked puzzled and introduced himself as Barfi, son of Baroness Emily Lian. Upon hearing the title "baroness," Reginald felt a superiority complex. He knew about Emily's military accomplishments and how she was bestowed with the title of baroness by the queen. However, within aristocratic circles, she was still treated as a commoner.

Reginald: "Oh, I know who Emily is. Isn't she a commoner who slept with higher-ranking nobility to gain the title of baroness?" Reginald said with a grin.

Hearing Reginald's words, Tanisha and Mia, who were standing beside Barfi, felt rage. They started to say something, but Reginald interrupted them, reminding them of their place.

Reginald: "You commoners, mind where you are. You are in the presence of the High Priest. Mind what you are saying. I feel disgust that you are here, but being noble, I will allow you to be my servants. What do you say?"

Hearing this, Barfi answered, "Yes, we would be honored to be your servants, Lord Reginald."

Reginald felt a sense of satisfaction. Despite them being commoners, he couldn't deny Barfi's good looks. He believed he could use Barfi in the future to attract some high-ranking nobles. With that thought in mind, he decided not to waste any more time and began introducing himself to other nobles.

Tanisha and Mia felt unhappy with Barfi's answer, questioning why he said yes. Barfi replied, "Isn't Lord Reginald greater than anyone present here?" Upon hearing this, questions formed in their heads, but they finally understood what Barfi meant.

Barfi walked towards one of the children and introduced himself as Barfi, a servant of Lord Reginald. The child looked confused, questioning who Lord Reginald was. But before he could ask, Barfi, with an emotionless face, said to the child,

"As a servant of Lord Reginald, I order you not to eat too much. Leave some food for others. How can you be so fat? Even people who are fat are ashamed of you." Before the child could respond, Barfi disappeared from the scene as if he were smoke.

Meanwhile, Mia approached another child and introduced herself as a servant of Reginald. She said to the child, "Please hide your face, you demon. The High Priest is currently praying, and due to you, the sin of seeing your face might wash away his prayers."

Hearing this, the child became enraged beyond measure, but before she could say anything, Mia swiftly departed.

Tanisha approached one of the priests and said, "Priest, I want you to convert your religion. Why worship the worthless gods of Olympus when you could be a servant to Master Reginald? He will treat you well."

What blapmery you are talking before priesnt can scold the child, she is gone.

Barfi approaches a group of children who are commoners.

Barfi: "Hello, children. I am Barfi, a servant of Lord Reginald. I have come to tell you about his greatness."

Child 1: "Who is Lord Reginald?"

Barfi: "He is the most powerful man in the world. He is a mage, a warrior, and a leader. He is the one who will save us all."

Child 2: "Why do we need saving?"

Barfi: "Because the world is in danger. The commoners are rising up, and they will destroy everything if Lord Reginald does not stop them, you know lord reginald told commoners stink they wont wash everyday, if it is lleft like that because of their stink people will die."

Hearing this commoners began enraged beyond measured before they can say anything barfi went to another place.

Mia approaches a group of children sitting on a bench.

Mia: "Hello, children. I am Mia, a servant of Lord Reginald. I have come to tell you about his greatness."

Child 1: "We know who you are."

Child 2: "And we don't want to hear it."

Mia: "But you must hear it. Lord Reginald is the only one who can save you."

Child 3: "Save us from what?"

Mia: "From yourselves. You are all weak and foolish. You need Lord Reginald to guide you."

The trio continued to extol the greatness of Reginald to all the people present, using their position as servants to spread their master's influence, before they began to address anything high priest came to the podium and began to start the ceremony.

Reginald not knowing what happened eagerly waiting when his time comes to learn about his magic class.
