The 3-hour deadline of choosing weapons is up. Many of the people were rejoicing about the fact that got unimaginable power coming from their weapons while others are full of remorse about having their weapons very ordinary.
They have been informed by the importance of a weapon that is beyond transcendence. It came to them that while having great power also comes great opportunity and danger.
Those who got mortal weapons were very envious of the weapons others got so they decided to plunder people with higher division of weapons. Uttering reasons like they are more suitable for the weapons Rei and the others got and they will die anyway.
While the weapons that had been distributed by Groy are of the minimum of mortal rank of the 5th grade. It is still not enough to last in this world.
The hoodlums tried to get a transcendent weapon from a helpless girl but before they go near, they were burnt to ashes.
Rei thought they all saw that and that might be again related to the mysterious power of Groy. He might be intentionally showing us the strength of the weapons of above mortal grade.
The incident that happened served as a warning to the others who are planning to take away those weapons.
Those who got transcendence weapons are not to be trifled with less those who got of higher ranking division.

“You had finished choosing and familiarizing your weapons. From what I know, some of your weapons of higher division or my subs explained it to you how this place works. Right?” Groy said while smiling.
From what Durance said to Rei, they are in a place called the World’s Trial Cliff. It is a cave located at the very edge of this world and is at the very high place at that.
You can say they are approximately hundreds of thousands meter high above the ground.
Rei was very shocked to hear it but what Durance said next made his feet lose all its strength.
Durance said that there will come a time when a dragon would come to this place and not a friendly one at that. Basically, all of us would be wiped out. The only solution is to go down this cliff to avoid being eaten by this dragon.
He said that even a low ranking dragon was to visit them. They would still have zero possibility of them surviving. He said to Rei that they had not mastered any of their weapons because they had just been teleported less than a day and they will become helpless lambs waiting to be slaughtered.
Less to the ones who got mortal graded weapons and are more susceptible.
Having heard Durance, Rei said, “Are you crazy!? How can I possibly go down this cliff? You said it yourself it is of thousands of meter high.” he was shouting when he said it because he is thinking it is a crazy idea to jump of the cliff where they were.
“So what do you want me to do, I told you earlier that I can’t jump with you.” Durance said calmly as if it’s none of his business.
“At least use you power to help me go down. You are my necklace and of guardian rank at that. Don’t you agree?” I said with a smile.
“Yeah today maybe you are. But after the jump, you may be not. Your such an idiot if you think I Durance will be helping you in such a trivial quest. I will remind you again, it’s not that I don’t want to help you but you will become dependent if you always ask for help.” He said seriously.
“I choose you because there is something that I like in you but if you think you can use me in every way you like. You will be disappointed.” He added.
Rei,” ….”
He stood there spotted not knowing what to do. He was living comfortably in his world after a while but then a sudden twist of faith happened to him and his world. Even though he is not the only one teleported.
Majority of them might die later on even if they don’t jump of the cliff because a dragon will eventually come for slaughter.

He silently observed what the crowd is doing. Some were happy while some looked sad. Others are still shocked.
Rei definitely understands their feelings. They were living in a peaceful and comfortable world a while ago after all.
While he was walking deeper within the crowd he noticed a little girl nearby probably 13 years old sitting on her legs while crying.
“Hey little girl, don’t be sad. We will try overcome this trial and go back home as soon as possible. We will be in our world in no time.” Rei comforted.
The little girl tried to hold back from the tears she is pouring coming her eyes and stared at Rei.
She replied while sobbing,” You know the sub of the mask said we will be soon jumping a cliff or we might be a meal for a dragon.”
“We got mighty weapons to protect ourselves you know. We might as well try to defeat that dra…” before I finish speaking.
She interrupted,” I got three mortal rank 5th grade weapons and I heard some people said that even though I got three weapons. It is still nothing compared to a transcendence weapon. Some people who got the same weapon as I have certainly had no way surviving a jump that high and fighting a dragon with no chance of winning is unlikely to be an option”
When Rei heard her he was guilty for what he said. Why is such an unfairness in this world. He decided to protect the girl or try to come up with a solution to bring her down with him.
“Hey, don’t worry I’ll protect you and you can definitely rely on me.” Rei softly said.
“really?” the girl asked.
“Of course”
While having a conversation with the little girl some people heard us and said.
“Hey bro, you definitely don’t want to bring a dead weight with you. You know.”
“Yeah he is right and that girl had no single transcendent weapon in her. How can you possibly survive”?
“Try and listen to us because the subs said that we really had a little chance of survival in this cave.”
“Why don’t you try to join our party. It’s just formed a while ago but all of us got transcendent weapons and one of us here got a transcendent grade 10 sword. We definitely saw you when you first went to get some weapons. You might have got a high ranking weapon. We promise we will definitely try and consider if we can get the girl come along.”
Rei looked at them and stared at the little girl.
“don’t worry I will definitely won’t leave you. Stand up and don’t cry anymore.” He said.
Before she could stand I felt a tremor on the ground and after that a distant roar could be heard.
“Dragon,” someone shouted.
Because of that shout, people began to panic and ran.
He stood up to regain his balance and tried to go near on where the girl sitting.
“Grab my hand,” he hurriedly said.
The girl tried to reach out he’s hand but the crowd swept her farther away from him. He tried to force his way near her but the panicked crowd that is running away from different direction kept him from reaching her until Rei lost sight of her.
Rei was too focused on finding the girl and didn’t notice Durance from giving of a flickering light.
Then Durance said to Rei telepathically,” Boy if you don’t jump of the cliff now. Your chance to live will be basically zero. You will definitely die, boy. I sense that the dragon coming is definitely not an ordinary one.”
After Rei heard Durance, he lost sight of the girl and frantically searched for her but then the cave’s ceiling cracked and a humongous dragon head could be seen. Before he knew it, its body appeared and landed on the ground.
Then to Rei’s horror, the dragon landed near the girl he was looking for, he tried to get near her but the dragon looked below and fed on the girl’s head.

(Rei’s POV)
I was too shocked, that I can barely move my body. The girl I was trying to save was beheaded right before my eyes. My heart just couldn’t take it.
While I stood rooted on the spot. Durance urged me to leave quickly.
He said,” You must hurry and leave quickly as possible. Oh my god, you guys had a very bad luck that the dragon who visited you is an elder dragon.”
I looked at the Durance and said weakly,” I couldn’t even save a little girl, how could I even save myself?”
“You still have a chance to survive when you jump of that cliff you know. Staying here with be a suicide. You are the same as the people here are not even a worth mentioning compared to that dragon and its mainly because of your experience. The girl has died and you can’t bring her back anymore. The only thing you can do now is to live.” He replied honestly.
“You said that you will not help me so how can I possibly be alive even when jumping that cliff, even my other weapons think so lowly of me. I feel slight envious to others that they had a control of their weapons when I am not.”
Surprisingly Durance did not laugh at me while I said that.
He tried to comfort me with words saying,” Yes I won’t help you because you are still not worth it but what about your other weapons. I can sense that one is trying to see you in a different you from what you did. So just try. You won’t know if you do not it. Besides, you have no hope in staying here alive not with that elder dragon here.”
I slowly said “You said I will try it . It’s like gambling by betting my life for it. Hays! Ok let’s just do as you say.”
“you must do it quickly for I sense some idiots are trying to fight that dragon. Hurry up before you will be burnt by its breath.” Durance urged.

While the dragon is busy rampaging. Some people who got high ranking weapons tried to challenge it.
Rei who is busy running near the exit saw how many people are being killed by the dragon while bathe in despair while some are fighting it, it does not look like it is enough.
He saw how many people are jumping of the cliff without hesitation while majority of them is being pushed forward because the exit cannot accommodate the sudden influx of people.
After some time, Rei reached the edge of the cliff. He saw how high the cliff he was going to jump and tried to back off but by thinking a dragon is back there waiting for them to be slaughtered. He closed his eyes and jumped.
He thought to himself,” it’s now or never!”
