Rei's Pov.                       I am John Rei but you can just call me Rei in short. A common college student with a simple dream which is to have a normal but exciting life. It’s been quite hard for me to focus on my studies. One of the reason is that I am addicted in computer games that have strategic genre, but my biggest flaw is that I am not sure how my future lies to.

The world I live today is called the age of robotics and artificial creatures.  It is called like this because almost 25 percent of living things in earth is man-made. Almost all the animals and plants had gone extinct so humans started to clone extinct species. A world that has nothing to do with just learning, graduating, and working for few hours a day because computers and robots have advanced Artificial Intelligence to perform one’s usual tasks.

We humans only work because they need RHA’s or the so-called Real Human’s Authorization. Like what the RHA stands for, all computer AIs are not allowed to have a complete authority over the control of that certain work. They establish control programs in every none AIs specifically humans to counter this AIs. This countering business started when human became lenient on computers and robots but then a computer virus was made and infiltrated the central control of a high AI. Thus, it started to rebel and infect other computers with the objective of subjugating the world. Thankfully, the world was saved by a renowned human being called Shin. He originated from China and was a complete computer genius who invented a universal control program on every computer and robots.

The world is always degrading as its supposed stewards indulge themselves in sleeping and eating. A world where people become lazy as f.

But then on May 30,3030 darkness had covered the earth and a featureless mask who introduced itself as Groy appeared in the sky lighting up the whole world. Nobody knew how it can be seen on every corner of the world in real time because it is always known that the world is round and like the sun it can only light a side of the world and not everything.  But after it appeared it stopped there in the midair floating for over an hour.

People in the world have panicked because of this unknown thing that has caused a major disturbance. High officials had tasked experts all over the world to investigate over this matter. But before they start to fly up in space to investigate, the featureless mask moved and unexpected to the people, it spoke even though its structure is as of a mask. It said smilingly with a sweet manly voice ‘’ this world has been entitled * Degrading Paradise*, a world that is on the verge of destruction and had been chosen to be given a blessing and a curse that all the age of 20 to 13 will be participating”.

Before I knew it have been teleported to the world called by the one who call himself as the arbiter, he is the mask that had spoken to our world about the destruction or rejuvenation of our world. It has been half a day since I was teleported in a place where it is called the * World’s Trial Cliff*, it is a cave like structure with millions of hectares as its area and this cliff is located at the far south of the very edge of this world called the “The Edge of the Beginning”. The cave has been lit up by millions of torches that produce quite a good ambience. This is what has been introduced to me by the mask’s sub spirit. Unlike to the mask’s appearance it is human formed with a man’s body. Don’t get try to imagine them naked for they are well dressed. Every one of us who is teleported in this world had been given a sub spirit of Groy. The subs introduced their main spirit’s name as Groy. This sub spirit’s work is to assist us and let us know about this world’s details. According to them this world is called The World Beginning. A world that is full of magical and demonic creatures. They say this world have been grouped to different kind of species known as elves, orcs, and humans as the main species or have the highest number of population. Then next is dragons, golems, ghosts etc. there are more of these species but those six are the ones who had been stuck in my head.

I feel like we were dragged in a real life game where I think our lives are on the line but it makes my heart race just by thinking that other species other than humans are living in this world.

“I wonder if I can encounter even one of those” I thought.

A day after the forced teleportation, almost all the details about this world has been introduced to me by the sub. A few minutes later, Groy appeared at the center of the cave like place he is as always a mask but with changing facial features similar to a human.

After its appearance, it smiled then spoke “all people of the Degrading Paradise you are summoned here to participate at a world changing event. You may call it destruction or rejuvenation. You must survive this quest to succeed. May yourselves survive and meet you at the edge”.

Chill went to the spines of every people who heard it.

Then a 19-year-old teen built up courage to ask Groy “hey you what’s up with us, with this and that? I don’t care if this freakin’ world or our world is destroyed. Bring me back now!” said the boy with rage while his feet is trembling.

Groy who was still smiling, smiled even wider but you can feel a chill hidden in its smile. After a few seconds then he spoke but with no smile “then you should just die.”

After he spoke, the teen went up the sky then exploded into pieces. The gory scene made the people shiver in fear. Some cannot take it puked on the ground while some fainted. I don’t know how can we see the scene or hear the boys voice at such distance but I think it is all thank to Groy’s power I guess.

After the boy died. Not much people are protesting or at least they are protesting at the back of their mind.

After a few seconds Groy spoke again not minding the crowd “you will be picking weapons of your choice for a higher chance of survival in world.”

Then after he said that millions of weapons surrounded Groy high up until where who knows where it ends. I don’t even know how is the cave had a very high ceiling. But what caused me to tense up is that I feel I was being called. I looked back but and then at my sides but I can’t see the one who is calling me.

After the weapons showed up, Groy spoke again saying “good luck” then remained frozen in the mid-air.
