Book 1: Chapter 5 : A mutation (2)

27 years ago in a small plane in the north of Urdu, in this place, a large number of Bogirs had taken up residence and among them was Vroul. At that time he was only a young child, but unlike the other Bogirs of the tribe, he liked to spend his time alone because he was not very social and he did not like the games that his fellow Bogirs played.

Indeed they had fun organizing small tournaments to decide the strongest of the group, but sometimes clumsiness happened and it was normal that someone came out injured from the duels against the other Bogirs. What he found even more odious was that the adults of the clan thought it was very clever to do this because you learned how to fight and defend yourself at a very young age.

Vroul (alone above a hill overlooking the clan): "I don't understand the usefulness of knowing how to fight at this age because our body is not yet fully developed it will just influence our growth as well as our physical performance because from an early age our body is under a lot of stress so later on even if you train like a degenerated you will not become stronger because you will have used all the potential of your body while it had not reached its perfect form."

He then saw that the fire in the middle of the camp had been lit and it was time to go home because at that time the dangerous animals of the tundra were out and it was better not to be out to me but you can be only if you wanted to extinguish the flame that animated you. As I had just returned home and was walking towards the main square, I saw my mother talking with my father.

My father was the chief of the tribe but he was a bit disappointed in me because I don't participate in the violent game that people my age had to do.

I noticed that he was talking so I didn't go to them immediately but waited until they finished talking.

Vroul's father: "I had the idea to send Vroul to the Zar tribe because he doesn't like violence there and he will be able to start an apprenticeship as a herbalist. So what do you think?

Vroul's Mother: I would have approved your extraordinary idea if you had proposed it to me a few years earlier.

Vroul's Father: I don't understand why you're telling me this, I didn't do anything.

Vroul's Mother: Don't be ignorant, you know very well what I'm talking about, you couldn't always hide your real face in front of your son.

Vroul's father (suddenly he got angry): You think it's my fault, at the very beginning I was proud of him because he was very intelligent for his age and I could boast of my son's intelligence as well as his strength because he was almost as strong as an 8-month-old Bogir at birth. Can you imagine, he had both the intelligence and the strength!

He could have become the greatest warrior of our tribe but instead of training with all the other Bogirs and confronting them to assert his superiority, he prefers to meditate on the problems of the world and ask himself questions about unanswered elements!

Just yesterday I asked him why he wasn't practicing with the other kids. And you know what he said to me? That for him what they are doing is not training but a massacre because they destroy the potential of their body when it is not yet mature enough.

A Bogir must think with his claws, not his brain! ( he claws his way through the void). Our ancestors managed to kill a wolf because he was stronger, not because he was smarter.

Mother of Vroul: So your child is only an object you can boast about, you disgust me, the fact is that when you took control of the tribe after the death of your father made you crazy! What happened to my husband who loved his family more than anything.

Vroul's father: He's gone, you have nothing more to say to me and I have nothing more to say to you because I have to go take care of the tribe's business.

Mother of Vroul: You monster ! and she went away but as she was about to reach the exit, she saw that the earth was wet. It's weird. It hasn't rained in days. Then she dipped her claw into the earth and felt it. Are those tears, Vroul? She then looked at the footprints on the ground and noticed that it led to the exit."

She began to head for the exit and asked one of the guards at the gate.

Vroul's Mother: "Excuse me, have you seen Vroul?

Guard 1: Who's Vroul, you know who is that?

Guard 2: No idea.

Vroul's Mother(lost her patience): the son of the chief!

Guard 1: It's him sorry I had forgotten that the chief had a son.

Guard 2: Normally, he's always alone in the mountains, he looks like a hermit.

Vroul's Mother: Where is he?

Guard 1 (Showed the door): He's out.

Vroul's Mother: Why did you let him out.

Guard 2: It's not our problem, he wanted to go out so we let him go out easy no.

Vroul's Mother: Open the door for me and I'll go get him.

Both guards: That won't be possible.

Vroul's Mother: Why that? He can go out but not me?

Guard 2: you are useful to the tribe and we cannot afford to lose you who will produce an heir to the chief.

Vroul's Mother: So Vroul is useless to the tribe so It could die and my role is only to give an heir for the tribe so I have to stay alive I'm right?

Guard 1: That's right, ma'am, you see when you want to you can understand very quickly.

Vroul's Mother: I'll show you who is useless and she forced her way through the door in pursuit of her child."

Meanwhile, Vroul had gone to isolate himself in his usual place.

Vroul: "Did my father mean what he said? But why does everyone have to resort to violence? Everything can be solved with the use of words, otherwise, the creator wouldn't have given us the ability to speak and think of our actions,s and we would just have been beasts governed by our primal instincts.

Am I going to have to practice with others so I can make my dad proud of me? I think it would only shame him because if I were to face the other Bogirs of my age I would lose to them. After all, before I had a big advantage over them because I was born with a stronger body but I didn't work on this asset so my physical abilities will be weaker than all my opponents. Which tribal leader would be proud to see his only heir lose to average members of his tribe. Not mine anyway."

As Vroul continued to question himself, he heard a noise coming from behind him. He turned around and remembered it was dark.

Vroul: "Why am I so stupid I let myself be ruled by my emotions and took refuge here when the Tundra is very dangerous at night. So I'm going to die here without having accomplished anything in my life, but that's not the worst thing, because I didn't even get to say goodbye to my mother. The noise approached more and more.

author for whom those have to say but why doesn't he run away? He's at the top of a mountain, the only way for him to escape is to jump, but with the body he has it's impossible, none Bogir could survive a fall from that height.

When the noise stopped a voice came out of the forest.

??????: "Why are you saying goodbye? I'm not going to kill you, I just came here to look for someone to keep me company.

As he said this he stepped forward and suddenly it was as if the moon was attracted by what had just come out of the forest and illuminated it. He was a human with long blond hair, a long brown beard, and eyes as black as the starry sky. He had blue spots on his forearms as well as his forehead and he was about 6 feet tall.

Vroul: A human????? No wait, he remembered that the village elder told him something about that.

Flashback

Elder: Each species has a size limit and once you reach it you can take human form.

Vroul: Human form?

The elder: Yes human form.

Flashback end.

Vroul: Will you be one of the legendary monsters that took human form?

?????? : Yes I am one of those legendary monsters, but what are you doing out so late, it's dangerous for someone like you to be here.

Vroul: I ran away.

????? : Why is that?

I refused to answer him,

???: It is only once you have told someone about your problems that your heart will feel better because you will have less burden on your conscience.

Vroul: If he was trying to convince me to open up to him, he had succeeded, so I began to tell him my problems.

???? ( scratching his beard): I see, I see.

Vroul: Can you help me? I was waiting for an answer because if he had managed to reach the human form, he must have the answer to my problems.

????? : The answer to your problems is here, and he pointed at my heart.

Vroul: My heart?

???? : Yes they are here, then he started to get up, and just before leaving he threw a bottle at me. Here is a sample of my blood if one day you are in danger drink it and it will help you during this situation.

While I was still gawking at what had just happened I heard my mother. Vroul's Mother, Vroul! Where are you, my son!

Vroul: I'm here mother.

Vroul's Mother(she threw herself at him): you don't know how much you frightened me, come inside.

Vroul: Okay, mother.

After that, I went back to the tribe and started training like everybody else, and finally, after 27 years, I was here as the new chief of the tribe.

Flashback end.

I was looking at the snake before me and thanks to him I recovered my morale. Then I put my paws in my chest and pulled out a bottle, opened and drink it after that my body started to convulse.
