Vroul: "Like most Bogirs, I was born in the snowy mountains in the north of Urdu.
Me: Wait where you were, there was snow?
Vroul: Yes I was next to the mountains so it was normal if there was snow, don't you think?
Me: Sorry I got a bit carried away for nothing it's just that I find snow to be something extraordinary.
Vroul: It's nothing but doesn't stop me for something like that next time.
Me: Ok I will not stop you.
Vroul: So I was living there but I was not a Bogir like the others because I was the son of the chief of my tribe and I was born with an uncommon size.
I was much stronger than a newborn baby. My father was just bragging about me to all the tribes around, but something happy always comes to an end. Indeed, once I had reached the age of 5 and had to play deadly games with children of my age, I refused and thus covered my father with shame.
After that, his behavior towards me started to change but I still hadn't noticed it until I caught my parents talking about my future. Shocked by what I had just heard, I took refuge in the peaks where I was all the time. This is where I experienced an encounter that changed me forever. Me, the person who normally always used his brain, now uses his fists.
Me: I don't understand, why you needed to change wouldn't it have been better if you were a healer at least you will have learned how to save lives and not to take them.
Vroul: I would have also preferred that but unfortunately it was not possible. I had to learn how to fight and become the most powerful.
Me: Why such a radical change?
Vroul: There were two reasons, the first being to protect my mother from all the dangers that surrounded her and for my tribe.
Me: I understand about your mother but what does it have to do with the tribe?
Vroul: You ask a lot of questions young one.
Me: It's normal after hearing all this.
Vroul: The party for the tribe was about two traditions that have lasted for generations.
Me: Wich traditions?
Vroul: The first one states that only the son of the chief can inherit the control of the tribe.
Me: If the chief doesn't have a child, what happens?
If you encounter this narrative on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
Vroul: This is very rare but if it happens, the tribe in question will go under the control of a tribe that has a chief.
Me: No, it's impossible how can they accept being under the control of people they don't even know.
Vroul: We can't help it, it's the traditions.
Me: But who cares about traditions you have a thought, it's up to you to decide what is right and what is wrong for the tribe, not the traditions.
Vroul: Since the dawn of time the Bogirs have lived in peace by following traditions, we are not going to change something that works.
Me: I find it absurd.
Vroul: Finally we have the last tradition that affects more the health of the tribe. It was a tournament that was held every 5 years between all the tribes in the area. It had been organized for the distribution of food. So I had to put in a good performance to ensure the survival of my tribe.
Finally, after three years of hard training, I was able to finish 13th out of 30. I was pretty proud of myself. In the years that followed, I started training more and more, and finally one day my father passed away.
Me: Sad to hear it.
Vroul: I was the most astonished because on his deathbed he told me that he loved me. So even though I embarrassed him, he loved me all the same. I still regret this day to not have been able to meet those expectations or just keep him company. But all these years I forgot to use something essential in all my fights.
Me: That is?
Vroul: The brain, indeed I believed that my physical abilities were perfect and that I could beat all my opponents with just brute force but even if you give a child a monstrous physique he won't be able to win a fight because he won't be using his brain. Fighting with your father woke me up from my stupor. After this fight, I regain the hobby to think of an important thing in the world.
Thank you to have heard my story.
Me: The pleasure is all mine and could you tell me your name and where I could fight without being in too much danger.
Vroul: My name is Vroul your protector and if you go any further you will be able to meet Rurs they are horned rabbits, you will be able to train against them.
Me: Thank you and see you later Vroul.
Vroul: Looks like the next few days are going to be interesting."
The first time since he came here Vroul smiled.
I was sinking a little deeper into the forest when I saw the rabbits. Wait, are they rabbits ?? What stood in front of me was a group of 61 cm rabbits with horns. All right, the idea is to attack them by surprise and thus sharpen my senses in the middle of a fight.
I slowly crawled towards them and as I was about to throw myself at one of them they suddenly ran away. Strange I didn't make any noise but in the direction, the rabbits were looking I could see a wolf. The latter was normal compared to the rabbit just that it was abnormally large. I hope he didn't see me.
I'd better go home because it's dangerous to go out alone, especially when you're as weak as I am. As I was leaving, the wolf ran towards me. So I began to look for a place where I could flee, for I would not lose on dry land, and I saw a stream 300 meters away from me.
I finally arrived in the stream but the wolf also jumped on me and started to slash my back.
Me: "Go away, you dirty beast."
But no matter how hard I struggled, that monster wouldn't let go. As we moved a little more to the center of the stream we started to sink because its weight was too great but I remarked something strange indeed I could breathe underwater and not only that my wounds were healing.
Wait, since I'm underwater, maybe I can use my venom. So I turned my body over so that the position would be reversed. Once I was on his back I spat my venom on his back and as I thought it worked. So his back started to rot and while he was trying to escape I hugged him to keep him underwater.
Eventually, he died of asphyxiation. I came out of the stream with the body because I will not let something that could let me get more powerful here now I just had to explain this to my parents. Time to go home.
