“How do you know who?” Ash said, looking puzzled.
“Wait, you didn’t tell her?!” I yelled, obviously mad that Ellie didn't tell Ash that she could feel things. And kinda predict the future.
“Tell me what?” Ash whined.
“I was afraid.” Ellie said.
“Afraid of what?” I also whined.
“What is going on?” Ash yelled, but we weren't listening.
“She already had a lot going on, I didn't want to add more to her plate!” Ellie yelled.
“But HOW COULD YOU NOT TELL HER?!” I nearly screamed.
“Because I didn't want to---” Just then, we heard a piercing noise, high enough to shatter Earth glass, and Ash fell to the ground.
“Ash, ASH!” Ellie raced over to her, with me following.
“Why does this keep happening to her?! She has been kidnapped, knocked out, and practically enslaved, who has been doing this?!” I yell.
“I don't know! All I know is that this person must be a top-notch sith!” Ellie yells, looking like she is going to cry.
“Not a person, people.” An eerie voice tingles down my spine. It is spookily familiar.
“You have been trained well, my boy.” Another eerie voice declares.
A shadow falls over our open dorm door, and after a second, the shadow comes closer then splits into two. A taller figure and a shorter figure walk up to the dorm door, both wearing black cloaks. The taller one lets out an evil cackle.
“Ha ha ha. You two were supposed to be smart. I thought that you had figured us out long before. But once we started dropping hints, you chased them around like a wild bantha, and walked right into our rancor trap. Oh, well. I learned my lesson. Never overestimate you two.”
“Show yourself!” Ellie yelled.
“Fine, you little twerps.” The smaller one walked forward, and took off the cloak. There standing right in front of us was Hugo with a large grin on his face.
“What did you do to Ash?” I yelled, gripping my lightsaber.
“Oh don’t worry your idiotic little brain, she’s fine.” He said. He was looking at Ellie though.
At that I pulled my lightsaber off of my belt and ignited it. Hugo did the same but when his ignited, it wasn’t blue or green. It was red.
“So you’re the sith” I said.
“Yep and I'd wager I'm a lot better than you.” He said.
Without a second thought I lunged forward and my lightsaber collided with his. The room went orange as a deafening noise filled it.
“Why did you do it!?” I say.
“You think this is all about you?” He said over the noise.
We moved around the room, our lightsabers clashing, until I gained the upper hand and with one motion I cut his lightsaber in half. I pointed the tip of light at him.
“Why did you do it?” I repeat.
“Because of Ash.” He says, and then a puff of black smoke erupts and he’s gone.
“Where did he go?” Ellie says.
“I don’t know?” I'm still exhausted.
We walk back to the dorms and find Ash waiting for us.
“Hey your awa-” I was cut off by Ash kissing me on the cheek. Luckily Ellie was looking away at the time. “What was that for?” I say. (Now Ash had kissed me before, this was in no means the first time but it still caught me off guard.) “I don’t know…” she said.
“Did I miss something?” Ellie said. Ash and I looked at each other. “No nothing at all,” Ash says, stifling a laugh.
“OK then. . .” Ellie says.
I look at my watch.
It's 90:00 and tomorrow is monoday. (For all of you non force sensitives, monday.)
“You're right.” Ash says. Ryan agrees, smiling in the most condescending way. Like cupid. ( He saw the whole kiss thing if you were wondering.)
We all climb into our bunks and fall asleep. I was awoken at 5 in the morning by Ash climbing my bunk. “What's up?” I whisper. This scares her and she falls off the bunk, I catch her and pull her back up.
“Thanks,” She says.
“Sure,” I say “So why are you up here?”
“I don’t know, I couldn't sleep.” She whispers back.
“Why not?” I say.
“Well I thought you might be mad at me for kissing you.” She says.
“No of course not, I’m just glad Ellie didn’t see us.” I say.

“Could you imagine her face?” Ash says suppressing a laugh.
The next morning we all wake up and go down the building towards Le restaurant El Dorado (French for El Dorado’s Eatery) The cafe is very posh, and Ash offered to take us all there as a treat for what happened yesterday. Ash and I are still laughing about what Ellie’s face would have looked like if she had seen the whole kiss thing.
Finally she catches on.
“Why are you two laughing?” Ellie says
“Nothing” Ash and I say at the same time.
“Yeah sure, you two can stop lying ‘cause I heard the whole conversation between you two last night.” She says. “You two are so cute, I hope you know that.”
Ash smiles.
“I find it funny” Ellie says
“Find what funny?” Ash says. She was so obviously blushing.
“The fact that I miss a romantic moment,” She says “And I never miss those!”
Ash and I are kind of at a loss here. If you couldn't tell
“How do you always know!” I say.
“Welllllllllllllll, Maybe something called the force.”
“Wow Ellie, you used the force to sense that.” Ash says, Rolling her eyes.
“No, I'm just kidding! I had no idea you did until I heard you two talking last night.” Ellie says
“Oh, well that explains that, I guess.” I say
“Oh that reminds me! StarNight is coming up!” (For all of you non force sensitives: The biggest and only dance of the year)
“I totally forgot!” Ellie said.
“Do you know who your taking?” Ash said to me.
I gave her that look that basically says: Really?
“Obviously you.” I say casually.
“Auuuuuww.” Ellie says while making a heart with her hands.
Ryan facepalms, I sigh, Ash looks away.
“What?” Ellie says.
“Could you not say anything about a romantic moment one in your life!” I say.
“I CAN. I just choose not to.” She says with a smirk.
We walk into the Cafe and sit down with our breakfast.
“What did you get?” Ash asks Ellie.
“Nubian Toast. It’s my favorite.” (Again For all of you non jedi: French Toast.)
“Yummm! Mine too!” Ash says.
As we are eating Aria, Mae, Kylan and Lucy walk in in their fancy dresses that look like something a Disney Princess would wear.
“Do you think those are their StarNight dresses?”
“I don’t know” Ryan says
“Why do you suppose they are wearing their StarNight dresses?” Ellie says, automatically assuming that the dresses ARE for StarNight. “StarNight is a week away!”
“I hope they don’t mess them up.” Ash says sarcastically.
We all laugh.
Then I saw the greatest thing I had ever seen. Aria was flirting with Mace Kobe, a popular third year Padawan, with Lucy and Mae by her side, made an enthusiastic hand movement and ended up spilling syrup all over Mae and Lucy's new, fancy dresses.
In a quick bout of pure FURY, Mae dumped the entire contents of her Koffee Kup™, on Aria's head, ruining Aria's dress, but in the process making Lucy slip and drop all her breakfast on the both of them, and then in another bout of rage, Aria poring her guava syrup on Lucy's EVERYTHING.
Ryan and Wyatt started howling with laughter.
"It is like an imperfect Rube Goldberg machine!" Wyatt said, his fists pounding on the table.
After that whole fiasco we walk to our first class: Ethics of Jedi Mind Tricks, which is by far the most boring class that I have ever had in my life. Our teacher Master Gravely says in her monotone voice, “Alright class, settle down settle down. Today we are going to be discussing when and how to use a Jedi mind trick. Take out your books and flip to page 375.” She said.
She droned on for the whole class period about which tricks are dangerous and which are safe. Finally after what seemed like an eternity she let us out of class. Our next class is the second best class of the day (The best is obviously lunch): Lightsaber Training with Master Skywalker.
“Hey, Ellie.” Ash calls.
“What?” She snaps back.
“Woah there! I was just wondering who you are taking to StarNight!” Ash asks with a grin on her face.
“Oh ummmmmmm,” She says nervously. “Someone already asked me.”
We all stop in our tracks. Ash gasps.
“Umm. . . ELLIE! YOU CAN'T JUST NOT TELL YOUR BEST FRIEND THESE THINGS! WHO IS IT?! I WANT DETAILS ELLIE! DETAILS!!!!!!!!” Ash yelled, startling us all.
“No! You all will hate me! No exaggeration there!” After class she dashed off to her and Ash’s dorm, and Ash sprinted down the hallway after her.
“Ellie, wait!” Ash called her voice fading down the hall.
Wyatt, Ryan, and I looked at each other a little flustered.
“What just happened?” Wyatt asked.
“I have no idea.” I responded.
“Let’s check on her later.” Ryan suggested.
“Good idea.” I said.
I thought I would see her in lightsaber training but she didn’t show up. Ash came and joined halfway through, and she looked really gloomy.
“She wouldn’t tell me anything!” Ash whisper-yelled.
The next two classes I was supposed to have with Ellie, she didn’t show up to. Not to mention the fact that Wyatt was super upset the entire time.
“I should have asked her!” He repeated almost every minute. I actually felt kinda bad for him. I told myself that until he found a date to StarNight, I wouldn’t bring up the topic.
At lunch I decided to go look for Ellie. I found her, in the girls dorm crying on her bed. She was holding something in her hand, but I couldn’t quite make out what it was. I came and sat next to her and heard her mutter:
“Why, why did I say yes? Why?--- ZACH!!! You scared me! What are you doing here? Wait. No. GO AWAY!”
“Ellie! I came here to ask you what’s wrong! Honestly!”
“That’s exactly why I want you out. Now GO!”
I stopped talking. Ellie Had bloodshot eyes and her sheets were wet with tears. She looked like she had been crying for hours.
“Ok then. I’ll go.” I headed towards the door.
“Zach-Wait. Come here.” She motioned for a spot next to her. I went over and sat down.
“I’m so sorry. It all just came out at once. We have both gone through so much and it’s not even starmester 2. Ash is my best friend in the entire world and she has had too many close calls. I shiver to think what will happen next. She has been kidnapped and almost killed. I feel like our friendship is tearing at the seams and the fact that I got asked to StarNight and keeping it from her just made it worse.”
“Ellie, I don't understand. You know we will all support you, no matter what. Especially whoever it is that asked you to StarNight.”
“But that’s just it. It is the one person you won’t support me with.”
I saw what she had in her hand. It was a black rose, one of the rarest flowers in the galaxy. They were worth millions of dollars on the starmarket.
A shiver ran down my spine. I had a bad feeling about this. I almost knew what she was going to say next.
“Hugo asked me to StarNight.”
