“G-guys, what are you doing?”
“Oh, come on,” Ellie yelled. “You know EXACTLY what we are talking about, traitor.”
“No. I Honestly don’t.”
“YOU TOOK OUR KYBER CRYSTALS!!!” I screamed.
“Woah, Zach, calm down. First of all, I don’t know what you are talking about. Second, why in heaven on Earth would I steal your kyber crystals? And third, you had them yesterday, and you know that I don’t wake up in the middle of the night for anything/anyone (Unless it is a beaconing not-master-skywalker). So why would I take them?”
Ellie, Wyatt, Ryan, Kylan and I stood there, thinking.
“Huh,” Wyatt finally spoke up. “Didn’t think about it that way. Sorry Ash.” He said. He slowly inched back to his bunk, flopped down, and immediately fell asleep.
Everyone else did the same, except for Ellie and I. We stayed at Ash’s bunk, looked at each other, and sat down next to her.
“Why did you guys think that I took them?” Ash said.
“When we used the force to retrieve them, we found them under your pillow, so we immediately thought that it was you.”
“Nah. You had your lightsabers at Jedi defense class, remember? Now, if you excuse me, I need to get my tutoring session ready, Later twer-, umm, I mean, friends!”
“When do you tutor?” Ellie called after her.
“9:50-10:45!” Ash yelled, walking away.
“Huh,” Ellie said. “Peculiar. . .”
“What? What is peculiar?” I said.
“Ash said that she tutored from 9:50-10:45, right?”
“Yeah. . . What’s the matter with that?”
“Well, it just so happens that 9:50-10:45 is in the middle of jedi defense class!” Ellie said.
“Your point?” I said, confused.
“That means that Ash wouldn’t have known if we had our lightsabers or not, because she was leading a tutoring session right in the middle of class!”
“Holy. . .” I said.

“Come on,” Ellie yelled “let’s go get her!”
As we were sprinting down the long, dark hallway, I quietly said:
“You know, -pant- you are a -gasp- AWESOME -wheeze- detective!!!”
“Thank -gasp- you!” she said.
It was still very early in the morning, only about 6:30, so the hallways were quiet and oh, so dimly lit. Our footsteps echoed off of the walls. We looked in every classroom, but couldn’t seem to find Ash. We were heading to the science classroom when we bumped into-
“Hey twerp. Got a new girlfwiend? Mwah, mwah! Ha, ha!”
“Shut up!” I yell.
“Hold on,” Ellie said. “He might be useful. Where did you just come from, Hugo?”
“My dorm, you idiot.” He said, with a look of disgust on his face.
“I know you are lying. You wouldn’t have your backpack with you if you were coming from your dorm. Even if you were coming from your dorm, you wouldn’t need your backpack. It’s only 7:00.”
“I-i. . . have to go to a tutoring lesson.”
“Oh, I see,” I said. “ How ‘bout you take us with you. Our friend runs the tutoring lessons, and we are looking for her.”
“Sure, twerp.” He said. “Follow me.”
After about 30 meters down the hallway, he took something out of his pocket. It looked like a remote, if a remote had one giant red button on it. He clicked a switch on the top, and pushed the red button, and all of the dim lights in the hallway turned off.
“Quick! Our lightsabers!” I yelled.
Ellie and I pulled out our lightsabers, and ignited them. The hallway was suddenly glowing a bright blue and purple, and Hugo was nowhere to be seen.
“Dang it!” I said “Where the heck could he have gone!”
“I don't know.” Ellie said deactivating her lightsaber.
We started to walk in the direction that Ash had gone.
“Hold up,” Ellie said. “What's This?”
She was pointing to a lightsaber slash mark on the wall.
“Holy,” I touched it. “AH! It's still hot, so it must be fresh.”
“Who in their right mind would slash the wall of the academy with their lightsaber?!” Ellie said clearly paranoid.
“There must have been a fight here. Well yeah that much was obvious. But what I'm asking is WHO could have done this.” I said.
“I can’t believe you asked that question! I think we both have a pretty good idea about who could have done this!”
“Yeah, but we can’t go around accusing people of crimes they might have not committed! We need to look around.” I say in a whisper.
“Yes, but tomorrow.” Ellie said.
“Awww! Why not today? Tomorrow is a school day!” I whined.
“Exactly! Today, if the teachers see us snooping around the hallways all day today, they will think we are loitering or something! But tomorrow, we will have all day to look around the halls, and the teachers won’t be there to see us do it!” She said proudly.
“Yeah, but HOW? It’s not like we can just skip class!”
Ellie got this mischievous look on her face. The one where your eyebrows look angry, but you’re smiling? Yeah, that one.
I had mistakenly given her an idea.
