With a piece of bread in my mouth, I dashed through the morning light at full speed. It was a race against time.
“Please make it… please…”
I muttered in my head as I gasped for breath, my body not moving the way I wanted. My chest was bouncing uncomfortably, a sensation I never felt with my male body, and it irritated me.
“Damn it! Running in a girl’s body is such a pain!”
As my frustration grew, I sharply turned the corner like a hairpin, only to come face-to-face with a male student.
“Whoa, I’m gonna crash!”
I tried to dodge, but our heads bumped into each other. I glanced down and saw my skirt fluttering up. But this wasn’t the time to worry about that.
“Where the hell are you looking!” I glared at him, but he shot the same glare right back at me.
“You’re the one not watching where you’re going!”
For a moment, we locked eyes in a fierce staring contest.
“Forget this. I’m gonna be late!”
“Wait, you… can you use instrument magic?”
He suddenly asked, catching me off guard.
“I can play bass magic and contrabass magic. Also, not my main thing, but I can handle guitar magic too.”
“How about a session? I’m Largo, and I’m good with drums.”
“So that’s the plan, huh? A teleportation spell using a drum and guitar session?”

I had used teleportation magic with my bass just the other day, but it has a once-a-month limit.
On the other hand, a session with drums and guitar magic could be used up to three times a month.
“Alright, think you can keep up with my guitar?”
“Heh, don’t start crying when I outplay you!”
I reached into the subspace and pulled out my trusty Les Paul guitar. As soon as I held it, my fingers started moving instinctively, like electricity was running through them. Across from me, Largo gripped his drumsticks and began to set the rhythm. The beat started echoing in the air.
“Ready? Let’s go!” Largo’s sharp voice rang out.
“Can you keep up?”
I strummed the power chords with all my might.
BRRRRANG!
The guitar roared, shaking the air. The distorted sound merged with Largo’s drums. Every time his drumsticks struck the snare, it felt like the ground was shaking beneath us. His powerful, sharp beats felt like artillery fire, elevating my guitar playing. The sound waves enveloped us, creating an intense energy field.
“Here’s my rhythm! Follow me!” Largo shouted, hammering out beats with relentless force.
“Don’t fall behind!” I shot back, strumming the power chords harder. The sound waves tore through the air, and a vortex of energy swirled around us. The guitar’s wail and Largo’s drumming resonated in perfect harmony, engulfing us completely.
As our sounds collided and fused, the magical waves intensified. DOOOON!
A blast of sound exploded around us, shaking the very air like thunder. And in that instant, we were teleported into the air.
We landed right in front of the school gates, with the echo of the guitar still lingering in the air. My hands were trembling, my heart still racing. We made it just 12 minutes before the start of school.
“We did it!”
We high-fived each other.
“I think we’ve got some great chemistry. What bands do you like?”
“Dry Flower Flag.”
Largo gave me a thumbs up.
“A hard rock band from another world’s Ireland? Nice taste.”
“Thanks!”
I flashed him a devil horn sign with my index and pinky fingers.
I had planned to make tons of girl friends and dive into a yuri-filled school life, but the first friend I made was a guy.
The entrance ceremony went smoothly, and then it was time for class assignments.
As I scanned the list of classmates, I saw a few familiar names. Largo was in the same class, as well as two others I met at the shopping mall, Lala and Forte. This was shaping up to be a fun, rosy school life.
I went to the classroom and took my seat.
The homeroom teacher came in, introduced themselves, and we all took turns with self-introductions. Afterward, we had our health checkups.
Little did I know, this was the beginning of a nightmare for me.
