Commandment 44: At last, The King and the Boxer. Team Nuada forms!

After a day of traveling Nuada and his group finally took a break. Nuada ordered the Machado soldiers to set up camp. João was wrapped in blankets and was resting in a carriage they had purchased after leaving Noin.

“Are you almost done, Nuada?” Achilles' voice rang in Nuada's mind. Nuada asked for one more minute.

Nuada awoke João and took off his silver gauntlet. “This is for you.”

“But King Nuada, what about you? Don’t you need an arm?”

João saw Nuada's face was calm, collected ,and understanding of the situation. He had a light smile as he placed João's hand on the silver gauntlet arm.

“Do not worry, Dian will create another one for me. I want you to use the original.”

João picked the gauntlet up. It was silver with green accents and a giant green jewel near the knuckle. It was a little bigger than Nuada’s real arm, which was on purpose.

“Also, drop the king stuff.”

“Then what should I call you? I can’t call you by your first name!”

Young João was quite adamant on showing some form of respect to the Celtic king. Nuada flushed red lightly, and he had to look away from the adoring eyes of the young human.

“Well… if you need to call me something then brother, or big brother”

João smiled. “Yeah, big bro Nuada! That’s perfect.” He placed the gauntlet onto his arm. Energy radiated and it connected his arm to the godsend.

It shrank to be a better fit for João, and he twisted his wrist and rapidly opened and closed his fist to test his new arm.

“Feels like I never lost it.”

Nuada smiled and lightly tousled João’s hair, then stood up. “I need to go. Once I leave, the memories of your soldiers and the people of Noin will be altered. History will forget me and will remember the brave men faithful to the Machado royal family that risked their lives for their heir.”

João nodded, he wanted to hug him, but instead he reached out his fist to Nuada and in return Nuada fist bumped it with his own.

Nuada returned to Elysium with the assistance of Achilles who was waiting for him near the Fantasia world portal.

“I already spoke with Lugh, he and his retainer have received their penalty,” Achilles said.

“How did he take it?” Nuada asked.

Achilles made a trickster-like face as he spoke. “He just laughed like this and said, ‘fine I’d rather have these restrictions! Will make my victory all the more significant’. Anyways, Metatron is here for you. Seems he and God understand what happened and are letting you off with a warning.”

Nuada didn’t show it but he did feel relieved. He knew he went overboard and burnt bridges with other deities and angels.

“I’ll take my leave then. Oh, and… I know I apologized to her… but I know it’s not enough. After the Tryfing, when Damaris feels comfortable I would like to properly apologize to her… and you.”

Achilles placed his hand on Nuada’s shoulder and squeezed it lightly. “I’ll let her know, for now Metatron is waiting.”

///

João was starting to finally feel strength in his body, the strength a retainer should feel. João had been sleeping for a while and needed to move his rested body. He jumped from the carriage and looked around the camp.

These were the men and women that survived the attack his family had sent, the brave men and women who (with Nuada’s help) came and rescued him. It was a strange feeling; he “knew” these people, but he didn’t really know them. His Fantasia world version of himself was the one who knew them.

Hans, his father’s loyal tactician; Júlia, his sword instructor and current bodyguard; and many more people. He knew all of their names, and they were all devoted to him and his family. He even remembered the names of those whodied at the attack. A normal person would probably not have cared but João still felt sorrow for the people who died before his consciousness entered the Fantasia world.

Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.

He went around and spoke to as many people as he could, thanking them for saving him.

“M-my L-ord!!!” Júlia was crying and went to hug the boy with all of her might. She had the same dark tan skin complexion as João.

Seems like my royal family and army come from a place based on Brazil, João thought as his bodyguard squeezed him. Because he wasn’t connected to Nuada his memories and information were still a bit hazy, so he went around to gather as much info as he could.

Apparently, there have been many bandit attacks on small towns lately, some said that they were affiliated with Noin. Hearing that made João's blood boil.

He was considered to be the last Machado alive, and the land he called home was long stolen and sold by the people of Noin. He needed to come up with some sort of plan to deal with them, they couldn’t just camp out all the time. They would need to find a way to gain money… aurums. João sighed.

“What would Nuada do?”

Nuada would be busy dealing with Metatron to help João, so he needed to do something. He looked at both arms, his new shiny gauntlet and his bracer. Nuada had sent him the info to activate the bracer. “Let’s start with this.” He opened the bracer in his mind, with his energy, and a screen popped out of it.

Role

Conqueror: Some are born to be kings and others are born to conquer. You are a conqueror, one that takes lands, kingdoms, and subjects away from others. Be a tyrant or a savior and take what’s owed to you. You are locked to only using swords, shields, and your fist (chosen for you by Nuada; you were dead). Must have some sort of connection to a royal family and a reason to start your conquest.

Unique Ability: When you defeat someone or conquer land/armies you gain more physical power. You are currently at 10 Conquer (CON). You are stronger when you are on land you own. You are stronger in a kingdom you own. You are stronger when your armies are near you. You can sacrifice 500 CON to gain a new charge slot of Champion’s grace. (You can only have a max of fifteen champion graces per Tryfing.)

Primary Objective: Win the Tryfing.

Secondary Objective: Conquer Noin.

Divine Wills

King of the Tuatha Dé Danann: Nuada is the first and only king of the Celtic deities, as such, others around you in the Fantasia world automatically see you as one with qualities of a king. Many will respect you and others may even join you in your cause simply because of how charismatic you can be. You will have a gang of loyal followers ready to fight for you.

Man-to-Man: Nuada wanted nothing more than to defeat his enemies and rivals in fair combat. To win on equal terms meant to Nuada that he was the superior deity (man, in your case.) As long as you and your opponent are on equal terms (this will always let you know exactly what it is you would need to do in order for the battle to be even). You gain the following benefits:

1. You are immune to knock back, or cannot be knocked down. If you were to lose consciousness, your body will continue to fight waiting for your consciousness to return.

2. Weapon mastery level does not matter, this divine will nullifies it. This forces your opponent to be on your level.

This divinity will automatically stacks and activates with Nuada’s godsend, Claíomh Solais.

Champion’s Grace: Because you permanently have Airgetlám as a godsend, you have access to this particular divine will at all times. Sorry about the whole slave thing. Every day you have three charges you can use, saved in the green gem of the gauntlet.

1. Use one charge to amplify your gauntlet fist attack. This will feel like two godsends hitting at the same time using your ather.

2. Use one charge and create a small ather shield that can negate damage. The shield can stay up for as long as you want it to, but you can’t summon godsends with it on or use other charges. This can also be destroyed, eventually.

3. Use up all three charges to unleash Nuada’s powerful technique, Solais, an ather beam energy attack. Your only ranged attack.

Godsends

Airgetlám: Your big bro Nuada has given you his original silver arm. Again, we apologize for the whole slave thing. Unleash powerful strikes with this fast godsend, your most important godsend. All of your divine wills and godsends support Airgetlám. It becomes a regular arm when inside the blàr deireannach of the sword of light. (Attacker.)

Nuada’s Coróin: The symbol of the king, the crown of Nuada. The symbol of your authority, you have one extra charge of champion’s grace saved in the crown per day. The crown protects you from ALL mind attacks, or abilities that alter you. You could also use the charge in the crown for a shining attack to blind your enemies. (Supporter).

Claíomh Solais: One of the four Celtic treasures: the sword of light. This sword has never been used to kill or cut anything, keeping its regal splendor and appearance. Once the sword is drawn and the phrase “blàr deireannach” is uttered, the enemy that you singled out with the phrase “tu” is compelled to fight you one on one. The sword summons a diamond field to hold the two of you inside. The sword is placed in the ground and can be disturbed to stop the blàr deireannach. It can also be used like a torch to light the way. (Supporter).

Cruaidín Catutchenn: One of Cu Chulainn’s godsends that he left behind, a powerful tomahawk axe that controls stone and earth. Smash the ground to create an earthquake, the intensity changes with how hard your swing is. Minimum magnitude 3.5. Maximum magnitude 6.0. (Attacker).

Aenbharr: Lugh’s faithful familiar horse, that he allowed Nuada to borrow for the Tryfing. Swift and mobile, she is your vehicle godsend. She can run on water as well, and she’s a wonderful steed loved by all of the Celtic deities.

Judge’s Comments and Evaluation

Achilles: A true man!

Damaris: *nods head in agreement* A man’s man!

Achilles: One of the manliest men!

Achilles & Damaris: A man of destiny; a man of ideals; a man of virtue!

Achilles: You suffered your whole life, forced to take it and not complain, dulling your soul and mellowing your personality. Now’s your chance to take back your choice in life!

Damaris: To be….

Achilles & Damaris: A WORLD CHAMPION!

///

João chuckled at the comments. He hadn’t known the two for very long but he could tell Achilles was like Nuada. The real deal. And Damaris was quite cute and nice. Looking over his menu he realized that he needed to be strategic to maximize Nuada’s skills and abilities.

“I can do this. With big bro Nuada, I can live again.”

He tightened his gauntlet fist in burning resolve. He shouted for the attention of his subjects, “I have gone to you all individually and thanked you for saving my life. Now… I thank all of you again for risking your lives, and I thank all who lost their lives for me!”

His loyal subjects listened intently, they all were in awe at how mature their young lord was. “We know our enemy! It is Noin but we are to weak… I’m too weak! For the next few years, we will strike the bandits attacking the lands and boost our forces.”

His men and women cheered a battle cry once in agreement.

“We will be the champions of those that can’t protect themselves!”

“Faugh a Ballagh!!!” they shouted in response.

“We will break the chains of the enslaved!”

“Faugh a Ballagh!!!”

“We will conquer Noin and make it our home!”

“Faugh a Ballagh!!!”

João felt good his speech was coming naturally to him, was this the power of Nuada’s divine will, King of the Tuatha Dé Danann? This is how Nuada lead, how Nuada spoke to his people and how his people responded to him. João lifted his gauntlet in the air; it was time to end this speech and truly empower the brave men and women of his army. Yes, the army he called…

“We are the Tuatha Dé Danann! The resurrected army of the Machado family!”

“Faugh a Ballagh!!!”

“Faugh a Ballagh!!!”

“Faugh a Ballagh!!!”

In Elysium, waiting for his meeting with God’s right hand, Nuada smiled and felt a strong sense of pride for his retainer.
