Chapter 65

Since the dawn of this realm, lies a prophecy. Enshrined in the eternal oath of the Protectors and the loyal Knights, no wars nor greed could destroy. Hence it will live on till all the stars are burnt, till everything goes back to the beginning. The blade and judgment guarding, the prophecy await. Shall it be the truth, forever awaits the true master.

In the name of blood, it survives.

In the name of truth, it lives.

In the name of the heir, it protects.

The maiden

The sun blessing upon her hair

The stars blessing upon her eyes

Shall come to be the heir.

Veritas omnia vincit - Truth conquers all

Adorned in the lion’s claws, she lies

Protected in the dragon’s wings, she rises

The stars shall obey under her steps

For the glory of the crown

Be afraid, those who lies

For the heir of the Great have come

Ultima ratio regum - last arguments of the king

The soft and sizzling logs of the fireplace, dressed in such a pleasant yellow coat. Indeed, silence dominated the atmosphere, for they seemed to await an arrival… In dark-night cloaks embroidered with the scale of justice, here surrounding the oak table are those who called themselves, the keepers, now preparing a sudden gathering. May the concern nestled in their hearts, after today, be untied in whole. To their expectations, the last piece of the puzzle, the hope, and the answer, came at last.

“Welcome my friends, I have waited for you.” An old man sitting at the center politely gestures to them to take a seat. This sacred place, is the home of the long-forgotten keepers. Every brick, every wall immersed with the scent of truth, the same simple truth monarchs have buried under layers of lives. For this place is the sanctuary of the truth, forever protecting the lost bloodline of the Great. Yet, how ironic for even they, couldn’t know nor protect the heir. Confusion and curiosity painted all over their faces for this sudden summoning. “The prophecy protected for generations has finally come true, my friends. The heir finally revealed.” The response surely sends everyone in the room in awe. Never could they believe, this day would come. A myth, a forgotten piece of history, has finally become reality. Certainly, for some of them, their rational mind could not digest such thunderous news. Some stood up, questioning in fury. Some are fueled with determination, enshrined in the oath. Some…shivering in fear. All of those crossed through the sharp glance of the senior keeper.

“Hesitation? Doubts?” The elite keeper slams his hand on the table, putting a dot on the hearty discussion. Still wearing his pleasant smile, he then speaks. “You do not believe me?” Without letting the silence have a chance to dissipate, in slow steps, he walks to a bookcase near the fireplace, glancing at the titles before pulling one out. “Ah, here it is!” The man excitedly returned to the group. “The answers to your doubts are here!” His hands, settled it nicely in the center, turning over the first page.

“Hear me those cowards, the truth we swore to protect.”

Dawn…

When this realm was a barren land, a speck of mere dust in the hand of god. There was no Averi nor Hyram, no cities nor castle, for everything was protected in a seed. It was he, the King of all kings and queens, who nurtured the seed with equilibrium and dignity. The son of the sun embraces each soul of this realm in his noble lion’s heart… conquers each sinner in his brilliant mind of a dragon. Everything kneels before his glory, his name… Leith Ashworth the Great. The Father of this realm.

O’ hail the King, Father of all.

All obey under his name.

Accompanying the golden lion, he brings forth prosperity. In the name of the dragon, he punished. Married with the daughter of the Moon, their child was blessed by each star dazzlingly in the sky.

O’hail the heir, the child of the stars.

All obey under his sight.

Entrusted with the protection of fairness, the Protectors of Truth, sworn to be his loyal servant, protect the sacred ideal eternally. Entrusted with the protection of the realm, the loyal Knights swore to be his loyal servant, forever protecting the land. Entrusted with the protection of the people, the consultants swore to be his loyal servant, eternally protecting the throne. All kneel before his will.

Noon…

Wisest of them all, had not the King of all seen the seed of greed on the scale of equilibrium? How wicked the evil had nurtured. Whispering, the devil brings forth seductions and agonies. Behind the glorious light of the Sun, there was always darkness. For once the fire has started, it shall burn it all.

O’ hail the King, the wisest of all.

What the beast has whispered?

In the sea of blood, the brutal beast of war indulges in utter joy. Voraciously, the innocents its growled in pleasure. The seed of dignity is stained with dust and smoke of violence. The golden lion growled in agony, leaving the forsaken realm in despair. The dragon betrayed the master, dyed its wings in the victim’s blood. How yearning the flavor of thick blood is. How pleasant the sound of begging. How sweet the cracked voices. How melancholy were the King’s eyes. For the scale of equilibrium has broken.

O’ hail the King, the creator of all.

Why did evil win?

Night…

Under the veil of greed, what was left to be seen? The realm, the barren land, vanished in rubble. Prosperity? Fortune? Then why does the smoke of agony bitter those star-like eyes? The son of the Sun, what was left to be done. Leaving the Imperial Topaz ring behind, the last blessing for the heir, the King disappeared into the darkness.

O’Hail the King, the mightiest of all.

What has he sacrificed?

Upon his life, he sealed the brutal beast with the golden sword. Upon his blood, he bound the crimson dragon in a curse, forever by the servant of the throne. Upon all, he ended everything. Time, truth, and his name are soon buried under layers of dust

O’hail the Heir, the rightful heir.

What awaits thee?

The heir and the daughter of the Moon lost in the pages of history, of the division of the Averi and Hyram. Have the stars forsaken? Has the Sun forgotten? The prophecy eternally protected will enshrine.

Leo venit, rex omnium

Draco venit, protector throni

Venit et custodire Regina.

The senior keeper closes the book solemnly. “The Queen is coming. O’hail the Heir, our true master.”

Vivat Regina, ad astra per aspera

Vivat Regina, ultima spes nostra.
