Background
Evolved from Avian Sentients: The Felindar evolved on a high-gravity world, which led to the development of their strong, avian bodies and exceptional balance. Their bioluminescence is believed to be a form of communication that predates their spoken language.
Home planet (and those they inhabit) has a much denser atmosphere than Earth, and so flight is common even among larger animals.
Internal Conflicts
◦ Balance vs. Progress: There is an ongoing debate within Felindar society between those who prioritize maintaining harmony and tradition and those who advocate for more rapid technological advancement, which some fear could disrupt the balance of their world.
◦ There are also several minority movements within Felindar society that advocate a return to more aggressive expansion and war as a means to resolve conflict. They are not warmongers per se, but consider the current peaceful stance of the Felindar as too extreme.
External Conflicts
◦ Predatory Species: While the Felindar are a peaceful race, they have occasionally faced conflicts with predatory species who see them as easy prey due to their avian appearance. Their advanced technology and diplomatic skills have helped them navigate these conflicts peacefully whenever possible.
◦ Their previously violent expansion has caused much conflict and hatred between them and other intelligent species - most of which do not exist anymore today.
