In the year 2029, normal life suddenly became… not-so-normal. For some reason, a hole suddenly opened in the sky and angels fell from the sky, all bloodied and/or ripped apart. Days later, the world was falling apart; earthquakes, tsunamis, forest fires, terrorism… It was truly the Apocalypse. But as quickly as it began, it ended; the hole in the sky was covered by clouds and Mother Nature has calmed down… Many countries had fallen that day and many rose to take their place. And the world would never be the same normal as it was then.
The day, now called the Day of Awakening, bridged our world to others as well, each with their different inhabitants. The UN became the UW and served to bridge the gap between us and other worlds. What we could only imagine became reality: demihumans, elves, dragons, magic…
However, that wasn't the only change. Due to the holy and unholy residue of the battle back in the Day of Awakening, the supernatural appeared. Superhumans, people with abilities not that of a normal human's were threats to world peace and were discriminated until the year 2039 when two heroes suddenly emerged in the form of two middle-school students. A statue was built in front of the Prime Minister's Official Residence to commemorate that day when superhumans gained the freedom they needed.
However, peace didn't last long. Superhuman terrorist organizations wreaked havoc among the worlds, falsely announcing that it was all in the will of the Two Heroes. In response to that, new heroes appeared and dispel the organizations until only one remained: H.E.A.V.E.N. Nowadays, the activities of the terrorist organization were limited, but one day, they would bring chaos back into this world 'in the name of the Two Heroes'. Special forces for superhumans were formed and sudden debuts of potential heroes had increased. The most famous are the Big Four: Grandmaster Zhou Huang, the strongest cultivator in the worlds who is only 18 years old; JuvenDem, Korean superhuman vigilantes that specialize in stealth; PSDA, Japanese private detective agency that deals with secret cases of superhumans and other supernatural beings and the most notable of them all was: S.E.R.V. (Supernatural Emergency Response Vanguard). Armed with the latest tech and consisting of some of the most dangerous superhumans, this U.S. elite force were some of the most successful when it comes to dealing with anything supernatural. But even the most elite of the Big Three had one failure.

People all over the world witnessed S.E.R.V's mission on capturing the SSSS (Seven Seas of the Seven Sins). And everyone was shocked when the strongest S.E.R.V squad in the entire S.E.R.V… was massacred without even a fight… From then on, the UW would plan attacks on the SSSS, only to reject it, knowing that their men will be ultimately massacred in seconds…
The UW's fears only grew when a classified live video was leaked onto the internet. Only one of them killed the strongest S.E.R.V squad. The commander opened fire on that member and killed him… Or so they thought… The footage shows the member rising back up again, criticizing their inability to kill. More gunfire… but they ricocheted off him. The squad commenced a retreat, but suddenly choked on something and their faces turn sickly black before dying. The world watched in shock as the member who killed the strongest S.E.R.V squad without moving a single muscle walked over to the camera and told them that the other SSSS members were weaker than him, but nonetheless almost as strong as he was.
Basically, the message was: "Don't try to kill us. You'll be the one dead instead of us."
Another message was left as well: "Ring around the rosies, a pocket full of posies. Ashes, ashes, and we all fall down..."
