"Cultivation is not the key to immortality, but the key to controlling our nature," Huang's great-grandfather would always say to him, "People who cultivate for immortality could never be strong. They have fallen so deep into their greed that they could never be at the top no matter how much they climbed."
Thanks to him, Huang was able to exceed his grandfather and father in terms of power, and eventually, his own Great-grandfather.
Huang's classmates had often asked what does being in cultivation looked like and he would tell them that they would have to try it to see it for themselves. When in cultivation, one would be seeing different things from other people. That was because different people find their inner peace in different places. For example, a man who had a dysfunctional household would find his inner peace in school where his friends would treat him way better than his own family.
However, one usually wouldn't remember what you saw during cultivation. After all, cultivation is basically training oneself in a dream. However, to force oneself into a dream without sleeping, one would need to be in a very calm spot with no available interference. If there is, the body would automatically 'wake' up.
Huang's place of cultivation was under an apple tree on top of a green hill surrounded by cherry-pink peonies. The scent of the nectar would calm him down and if he got hungry, he could just pick an apple from the tree. In the fall and winter, he would bring peony-scented perfume and some apples (and a very thick black blanket).

Summer; the Sun wasn't making it easy for Huang to cultivate, but it couldn't beat a little of ice magic. Suddenly, his phone rang and Huang's cultivation had been interrupted, which unfortunately was one of Huang's many pet peeves. He picked up the phone with a scowling face and saw that it was his friend Chen. I sighed and calmed myself down; Huang had told Chen to not call him when he was cultivating, so if Chen called, that meant it was an emergency. "Probably pissed someone off again..." Chou predicted as he pressed the green 'receive call' button.
"Zh-zhou H-huang… Zhouuu H-huaangg," Chen choked out. He was crying...
"Chen… Chen! What's wrong-" Huang was cut off by Chen which was rare. Very rare.
"They killed them… THEY KILLED MY FAMILYYYYyyy!" Chen suddenly raised his voice.
"What do you mean killed? Chen? Chen!?" Chen didn't answer and Huang was worried, not for his own friend, but her sister who's his fiancée.
Huang prepared to leave for Chen's residence when the latter finally responded with a voice filled with rage, "THEY MASSACRED MY FAMILY!"
Huang's breath stopped and when he regained composure, he immediately inquired Chen about the latter's sister.
"She's in c-critical condition. She tried to protect mother, and-" Chen was cut off by Huang's voice of shock and anger.
"Who massacred your family?" Huang asked.
"The SSSS..."
"The SSSS..." Huang's mind got cloudier with anger.
"Are you sure it was the SSSS?" I asked, not wanting to get the culprit wrong.
"Yes… YES… THERE'S NO WAY I COULD FORGET THAT MASK! THAT MASK… T-THAT MA-MASK WAS IN TV! WHEN THA-THAT S-S-SE-SER-SERV SQU-SQUAD GOT MASSA-CRED!" Chen answered, "I'm not l-l-lying! It was HIM!"
My hand trembled. The Dark God; when I watched him on TV four years ago, it immediately sent chills down my spine; I have never felt that before when watching that video speech by H.E.A.V.E.N's leader GOD.
"Zhou Huang… Zhou Huang…" Chen called me, "Kill them… please. Kill the SSSS for my family! PLEASE! SHOW THEM THAT THERE ARE PEOPLE THAT THEY SHOULDN'T MESS WITH!"
"Of course... After all, they attacked my friend's family and critically wounded my fiancée. They wouldn't get off so easy," Huang growled as he gripped his phone tightly, slightly cracking the screen.
'Kill the SSSS'. That was the only thing in Huang's mind.
