Ch-20

The only thing was that I was in my bed and fell asleep. When I woke up not much time had passed with this I washed myself and changed my clothes.

With all time left I thought of strolling in the market, I followed the same process and the same carriage was in front of me with Markus next to it. They did not talk much, just normal greetings. As they arrived at their destination he started walking and enjoying a different era.

The market was full of life, people walking around, merchants trying to earn profit, there were many different races, there were elves with sharp ears, beast people, dwarfs even demons who looked very much like humans, the only addition were the horns on their head.

It was all good but the whisperers somewhat ruined his mood but he did his best to ignore them.

There were all kinds of things that were being sold by the merchants, there were some things that he was able to recognise others not.

The market was something that was giving a mediaeval vibes, the crates were wooden, one could see doors inside the shops which lead to the owner's house.

The environment was something that he never felt in a modern day market. Many people have swords on their waist, large swords on their back, even bow and arrows, most of them were adventurers .

Adventurers are important assets for the country, they act like mercenaries during war, escort for merchants and also keep monster levels in check. All adventures had ranks which were assigned according to their strength and merit.

The atmosphere was completely different from what he experienced on earth. Here most people were carrying deadly weapons in public, which he had never seen on earth.

While walking around with Markus, he saw a blond boy running towards him and in a few seconds he found the kid hugging him.

Stolen story; please report.

" Alan I thought I will never see you again, how are you? Why did you not come to see your best friend ??"

The blond kid in front of him was a childhood friend of Alan. His name Aric Wainwright he is the son of the head knight. It was not difficult for him to find Aric in Alan's memory.

It seems like he just returned from his training.

Even though both of them were the same age Aric was taller than him, he had the same blue eyes like Alan and golden yellow hair,he looked like a typical hero.

"Hello Aric, how are you doing?"

"The fu## you say, here I was worried to death and you are chilling here. And for your information I am terrible."

"Was training that hard?"

Aric's family have been knights for generations and according to their tradition from the age of 7 their basic training is started in their family's sacred training grounds which was far away from here in the mountains, there is not much information about it but it is said that anyone who goes in comes out strong.

"It was a disaster" imaginary tears started to flow from his eyes.

"But what happen after I left, what's with the rumours,I know that the Alan I know was not like that"

It was not a pleasant shock for Aric to hear bad rumours about his friend.

"Does it matter?"

"No," Aric said without even thinking for a second.

"Than it doesn't matter, let's look around"

Honestly Alan did not want to explain the whole story, it was too much of a drag.

Both the friends spend the rest of the day walking around the market. It gave some time for Alan to have fun with a friend after a long time.

While walking he also checked Arics stats which left him surprised.
