Phew, I made it in time, I'm so sleepy though...

"Aria... I really recommend you to stay awake this math class, pretty sure something about the summer festival will come up and the class rep. Should be awake, don't you think?" - That's Olivia Allen (aka Oli), the voice of reason in my ear that I tend to ignore.

"I do, but I don't think I will, you guys made me class rep. without my consent, that's on you."

As she says, it's an offense that a lazy person like me is at the top of the class, she is the fourth best student and not higher because the other two on the podium are simply out of this world of how smart they are. While I know a good bunch of everything and just figured the types of questions each teacher is likely to put in the test, those other two are complete smartasses, they know everything.

Not that that bothers Oli, she's a sweet and kind girl with a beautiful face, her goals are beyond perfect school grades. That's the most sociable member of the student council for you.

"Sigh"

Sigh as much as you want, my dear friend, I never wanted to be the class rep. To begin with, that was M&M's idea. While I was sleeping he suggested that to the teacher, from what Olivia told me I entered the election because of my grades and most of the class voted for me as a simple joke, and somehow it worked out for almost a year. Anyway, class is starting and so is my sleep.

"Sigh" - Oli sighs again, a forced sigh at that, probably because of the look on my face.

Ahh, alright... I get it that I'm technically in the wrong here but... When things are going great it's really hard to change y'know. See, I live with my parents and my grandma, we're a happy family. My days consist of going to school, sleeping through every class and doing the bare minimum as class rep. Like showing up to reunions and such, after that I go home, take an hour to catch up the lessons of the day I slept through, then I play games 'till I'm tired, most of the days I get tired when I need to go to school, but other days I get around 20 minutes of sleep, 40 when I'm lucky.

Anyways, the point is, if there's nothing going wrong in my life, why should I change something? I lay on my desk, before closing my eyes I look at Oli.

"Just today, it'll be important."

"I kindly refuse your tempting proposal." - With that I close my eyes. From where I stand the class rep. Role is just dumping the school's responsibilities on students, if I refuse to do, someone else will do, wouldn't call that important.

Is a massive boss going to appear and hunt us like in a game? Or is something going to awaken inside a classmate and they'll kill us all like in a manga? Don't think so.

Interrupting my sleep I faintly hear the philosophy teacher talking to the math teacher probably about the summer festival, but who cares? Not me!

After that I hear another student screaming, but who cares? Me, a little bit. So I turned my head to look at the person and he was... glowing? Next I was blinded by a weird light and felt an excruciating pain, it was like being forcefully awaken from a happy dream by stabbing knives with acid in them. I felt every second from the pain starting to it fading away while the light dissipated, leaving a bottomless void with faint shooting stars in the distance.

I've never been more awake in all my life.

And next I felt like awakening from a long slumber.
