Chapter 7 - Grandpa Part II

The silence in the room was oppressive, almost palpable. The old man and the soul hunter faced each other, their gazes fixed with intensity, without a word exchanged. Tensions were high, suggesting an imminent, but dreaded exchange. Sora, who observed the scene with concern, felt increasingly uneasy with the thickening tension.

With wide eyes, he watched in astonishment as the old man rushed towards the soul hunter with such force that the ground trembled beneath his feet. A sinister crack echoed as the stone under him cracked and collapsed under the pressure. The old man moved so quickly that it was difficult for Sora to follow his movements.

The old man leaned forward, determined to deliver a fatal blow to the soul hunter. His right fist, vibrating with energy, charged straight towards the latter’s belly. But the soul hunter didn’t let himself be hit, and with a quick movement, he blocked the blow by raising his forearm in a defensive gesture. The sound of the impact echoed in the room, making the walls vibrate. The two men now stood face to face, their muscles tense and ready to fight.

The scene was epic, each movement was of relentless precision. The soul hunter had attempted to strike the old man with his other arm, but the latter had quickly dodged to counterattack with incredible power. The old man had supported himself on his left leg to reinforce his blow, and his strength had been such that the soul hunter’s arm had literally exploded in two.

The old man’s punch had continued its trajectory and hit the soul hunter’s belly, propelling him into the air with phenomenal force. The latter cried out in pain before finally hitting the stone wall of the kitchen, shattering it into a thousand pieces. He continued to roll on the red sand, carried away by the violence of the impact, covering over 100 meters.

However, before he could finish his run, the old man had rushed towards him at full speed to position himself behind his prone head. With a mocking smile on his lips, he raised his arm in the air, and suddenly an intense light burst from his hand, transforming into a huge wooden hammer six meters long. The scene was unreal, the hammer seemed so heavy that it appeared impossible to wield, but the old man brandished it with disconcerting ease.

The old man now held a gigantic hammer in his hands, adorned with mystical symbols and pulsing with intense electrical energy. Sora looked at the object in amazement, wondering how such a tool could exist. The old man, on the other hand, looked completely comfortable with the weapon, wielding it with incredible strength.

“Odin Smash!”

With a sharp and powerful blow, the Veil man struck his opponent with the hammer, sending an impressive amount of sand flying. The force of the impact created an electric shockwave that traveled through the room, shaking the walls. Sora covered his ears, dizzy from the deafening noise.

After a moment of silence, the old man raised the hammer, observing the result of his attack with satisfaction. The soul hunter had completely disappeared. He had been disintegrated by the force of the impact, as if he had never existed.

Sora felt his blood run cold as he realized the power and danger of the weapon. He understood that the old man was a formidable being, capable of ending a life in an instant.

The old man now stood still, as if waiting for something. His white, tousled hair floated in the wind. Sora, still in shock from the intensity of the battle, watched the old man with suspicion, not knowing what to expect from him.

Then, the old man slowly turned his head towards Sora, revealing a face marked by satisfaction. A smile illuminated his features, lighting up his eyes with warmth. He then raised his arm in a gesture of victory, a triumphant gleam shining in his eyes.

Sora suddenly felt at ease, reassured by the old man’s smile. He realized that he was not his enemy. The old man’s smile was genuine, filled with kindness and benevolence. Sora felt his shoulders relax, relieved of the tension that had weighed on him since the beginning of the confrontation.

And so, Sora let out a slight smile of relief as well.
