In the school's training room, there were four students and one monitor. Two were discussing who was going to be captain of the team.

" Come on Andrew, why can I just be captain? " Janna asked. She and Andrew were arguing about who was going to be captain.

" I'm gonna be captain like last year so don't argue about it. " He replied.

" Yeah, and what happened? We lost. " She extorted. They continued talking till they heard someone counting.

" 95, 96, 97, 98, 99, 100. " Dicou murmured. He was doing some one-arm push-ups.

" Hey, what are you doing?" She asked.

" I'm exercising." He replied.

" Can't you help us choose a captain? " She stuttered. Dicou got up and stretched his legs and arms.

" No problem. So who's the strongest between you two? " He inquired.

" Why? " Andrew came up with his question.

" The leader should always be the smartest in making decisive decisions and plans. Looking at how you two are arguing there isn't someone like that between the two of you. So there is only one other criterion to be captain. "

" What is that? " Janna puffed furiously. Dicou was almost saying that they were too dumb to lead a team.

" The strongest. I am going to be captain because I'm the strongest. " Dicou said with confidence written all over his face.

'Arrogant'

The only thought that came into her head that could describe Dicou.

" Why do you think you're stronger than us? " Andrew muttered. Rage was rising in his head. Even if they were the weakest class among the three, he was the strongest in his class and one of the strongest in the whole grade.

Dicou listened to them while doing his sit-ups. When he finished his 50th sit-up. He got up and began to challenge them.

" How about you two fight me together to find out? " He sighed.

" Do you want to get beat up or what? " Andrew responded. You could see electricity hovering around his body.

" You're too weak to do that. " Dicou chuckled with a grin on his face. He saw that Andrew had a little temper and provoked him. When it comes to taunting or provoking someone, no one is better than Dicou. He used it many times to fight Alexis but it didn't work against Eptosi. He's too calm and composed to fall into such a trap.

>WHOOSH<

Andrew rushed at Dicou with his right punch.

" Oh, don't be so hasty. " He murmured while avoiding.

" [Light beam] "

Dicou saw a beam coming at him with a blinding color. Andrew was trying to get Dicou closer to Janna's attack. Dicou couldn't avoid the beam because Andrew would shock.

>BANG<

Dicou was hit with the full beam. Smoke arose so Andrew decided to check if Dicou was unconscious or not.

" Don't worry Andrew. He got hit by my light beam without protection. He would be on the ground right now even if he's conscious. " She extorted.

" What did you say? " Janna heard Dicou's voice in the smoke.

" How " She saw him standing with only the clothes on his arms torn. He still looked fine apart from that.

" Nice combi, I see that you already fought in a team together. But it's still not enough to defeat me. " Dicou sighed. He directly rushed at Andrew. Andrew saw that and activated his power. Lightning was curling around his body.

>WHOOSH<

Dicou threw his left punch as soon as he was close to him. Andrew avoided it and tried to counter him but…

He flew away because Dicou launched his right knee at his chest.

"AAARGHHH " Andrew screamed. He rolled on the floor while holding his head. He felt the knee in his chest but somehow his head was ringing. " What did you do to him? " Janna asked. Shocked at how he one-hit Andrew, who was still rolling on the floor.

" My power [Effect: Physical: Double hit] allows me to hit something or someone wherever I want as long as I hit them with equal force as my hit. " He explained.

" So, you hit him with your knee in his chest and your power hit him on his head? " She stuttered while taking some distance from him. She thought that if he couldn't touch her, he can't win.

" Yeah, without a time delay. " He replied nonchalantly.

" What do you mean? "

" My power hits simultaneously with my own strike. " He said.

" You can take more distance if you want but it won't change anything. " Janna thought that she was quietly escaping and didn't think he would notice her.

Then without letting him time to approach, she attacked him.

" [Light bullets] " She shot multiple projectiles at him

But Dicou avoided and blocked them flawlessly. As he approaches her at a terrifying speed considering he was dealing with her bullets. Janna stepped back till she was near the wall.

' Fuck, I'm almost out on Molungé and he is still coming at me. ' She thought. Trying to find a way to escape him.

As soon as Dicou shortened the distance to her. Janna used her power to push herself to her right and shot two light balls at him. On to him and to his left to block him from escaping.

Bang!

Smoke was rising so she couldn't see where Dicou was. She distanced herself to not to be taken by surprise by him.

But he was approaching faster than she could react. The moment she saw him it was already over.

"He really pulled it off," their teacher stammered. He had witnessed Dicou's victory over the other students. Despite being a close-range fighter and facing both mid-range and long-range opponents, Dicou emerged victorious.

After Dicou finished, they talked about a few more things and past times with each other. Laughing, making jokes, showing off and more. They were all really lively. People looked at them from afar, some people found it beautiful, annoying but others were a little bit jealous. Not only because of their beauty but their demeanor like there's nothing to worry about. In this street they show so brightly reminding some people of their past when they had no worries no problems.

" Those youngsters look wonderful " Said someone to a delivery man.

" Yeah, Seems like they haven't lived life yet. " The delivery man replied

" What do you mean? " Confused by his remark.

" they should cherish these moments as long as they can. They would not be able to do it when life is going to become hard "

Monday

The team matches were going to begin but first they were going to learn their second lesson about molungé.

" As you all should know molungé has 6 categories which each has 3 types. " Miss Taylor muttered

" Today I'm doing a brief synopsis of the first 3 categories and their types. We're going to learn them all week and do a survey about it next Friday." Everyone in the class listened to her. They had done a survey last Friday about the story which was very easy since it had not much content to it.

" Alright, students, let's delve into the concept of "Output powers." Consider this as a category of powers that originate from within an individual and extend outward. When we classify these within the Output category, there are three types one can manifest: elemental powers, magic, and rituals. Think of these types as different channels through which your innate abilities can flow and express themselves. It's a riveting subject, and it's pivotal for our understanding in this course. "

" Let's break down the foundational elements that exist in our world. There are five core elements: water, fire, earth, air, and lightning. However, just because two people might both be aligned with, say, the fire element, doesn't mean their abilities manifest identically. Imagine one person who has the capability to conjure fireballs. Now, contrast that with another individual who can elevate temperatures, causing objects to overheat. Both are harnessing the power of fire, but their abilities take form in varied ways. This illustrates the vast diversity and complexity inherent in elemental powers, and it's vital for us to appreciate the nuances and intricacies of each element and its possible manifestations.

Eptosi, Andrew, and Gwen have each a different element and use it differently than others with the same element as them. " She wrapped up the elemental type and went on the the second one.

" Let's transition to the magic category. There are four primary types: Light, Darkness, Destruction, and Star Magic. Unlike elemental powers where individuals can wield an element differently, magic spells within each type are consistent across users. The strength and range of a magician's abilities hinge on their 'circle' ranking. An 1st-circle mage is a novice, whereas a 10th-circle mage is a master. Though it might be tempting, casting spells from higher circles than your own can be dangerous. While a mage can attempt spells up to two circles above theirs, it's risky. Not only will the spell's power diminish, but it can also severely harm, or even kill, the caster. They always need to be wary of their magical limits.

" Janna's the only one who has a power of the magic type in this class. "

" Continuing with our discussion on the output types, let's finish with rituals. Though rituals command immense power, they also demand patience. They offer versatile abilities like elemental control, teleportation, and creation, to name a few. However, the potency of a ritual is directly linked to its casting duration: the mightier the ritual, the longer it takes. There's a silver lining, though. As you repetitively practice and perform a particular ritual, the casting time progressively reduces. With dedication and repeated use, you can even achieve a state of mastery where the ritual can be invoked instantly. So, while they might require patience initially, rituals can be incredibly rewarding for those who commit to one. "

" While no one in this class is from the ritual type, there are a lot in Iceland who are considered 'the ritual country'. " Ms Taylor finished her explanation of the output category and went straight to the next one.
