" Students, let's delve deeper into the fascinating category of "Mind." This category harnesses the immense capabilities of our brain. Within it, we have three distinct types: 'Internal,' focusing solely on oneself, 'External,' which gives one the capability to influence the thoughts or actions of those around them, and 'Telekinesis,' granting the ability to move objects using sheer mental force. It's truly a testament to the power of the mind, isn't it? " She took a sip of water and continued with no break.
" Let's turn our attention to the first mind type today: Internal powers.' Now, imagine having abilities that solely influence your own mind and brain. Picture yourself processing information at lightning speed or retaining every piece of information you've ever learned. That's what we're talking about with internal mind powers. They can heighten your intelligence, speed up your thinking, and even grant you near-limitless memory. Think of them as tools to supercharge your cognitive abilities.
"We have the 'External' type to discuss. These particular powers don't act on the user's own mind. Instead, they target and affect the minds of others. For those few individuals endowed with this power, they could potentially read thoughts, make someone forget a specific memory, or communicate using telepathy. It's quite a fascinating area of study. But, as with all powers, it's essential to wield them ethically and responsibly.
" At last of this category, Telekinesis is a fascinating type of mind power, wherein individuals harness their mental focus to manipulate and move objects or living beings without any physical intervention. While virtually everyone possesses the capability for basic telekinesis, what sets each person apart is their unique additional ability. These enhanced abilities range from crushing and disintegrating objects, to segmenting them into parts, or even propelling them over significant distances. This diversity in skills ensures that no two telekinetic experiences are precisely the same, and it offers a rich tapestry of potential for those who master their innate capabilities. " Most students were confused on the telekenis type. Ms Tayylor found it normal because the telekinesis type is one of the most difficult type to understand with the projection type and the whole effect category.
" Ms. Taylor I don't really understand the telekenises type? " Dicou asked.
" And what don't you understand, Dicou? "
" Everything but mostly the part about ' basic telekinesis ' and the additional ability. "
" Certainly Dicou, Let me restate this clearly: For people of the telekinesis type specifically, they have basic ability over small objects unconsciously through telekinetic practice. However, what truly distinguishes each telekinesis user is their unique additional ability - this is the personalized manifestation and name of their telekinetic power. For example, your additional ability may be called "Projectile Propulsion" which lets you launch objects faster than others. " She explained it better for Dicou to understand the concept.
The students who were confused began slowly to uderstand the type.
"At last, the Body category, powers derive from one's own physique. This category branches into three types: Partial, Full, and Senses, each offering unique ways to harness one's bodily capabilities." She went on to the last category and began with the first type of it.
" Partial type, powers are concentrated in specific parts of the body. The narrower the region, the stronger the potential power. Think of it this way: a fist endowed with superstrength can deliver a punch far more powerful than if that same strength was distributed across the whole arm. It's all about concentration of molungé.
Any questions about it?" Ms Taylor inquired. But no one replied.
"In Full type powers, the abilities utilize the whole body, making it a more generalized approach. Even though partial powers might focus and amplify energy in a specific area, full-body powers offer an expansive range of capabilities. It's like comparing a spotlight to ambient lighting: one is focused and intense, while the other covers a broader area. The essence here is versatility versus concentrated force."
"Sense-type powers revolve around the five senses we're all familiar with: sight, hearing, touch, taste, and smell. They can serve to enhance the user's senses to remarkable degrees or even alter and control the sensory perceptions of others. The way these powers manifest can differ greatly between individuals. Imagine one person having the ability to see far-off events with crystal clarity, while another can change how someone tastes a specific flavor. The vast range of potential applications within this category makes sense-type powers a captivating and often surprising area of study."

" This is the rarest type in the world with less than 10,000 persons with it. This is why Juan is very rare because as far as I know, he's one of the only two Sense-type people in California. " The whole class looked at him.
He began to be embarrassed as everyone glanced at him.
' She really is special ' Eptosi thought, thinking about Anna.
>Dring<
The hour finished and they went to their other classes like math, history, and geography.

After all their lessons, the team matches of the sophomore combat options were about to commence. There were three classes in total, with Class 1 comprising 12 students, while both Class 2 and Class 3 had 10 students each. They were divided into eight teams, slated to engage in a tournament-style competition. The matchups were set as follows: Team 1 would face Team 8, Team 2 would compete against Team 7, and so on. The stage was set for an exciting clash of talents and abilities as these teams prepared to battle it out. The whole tenth grade was going the watch the fights that were about to happen.
Team 1 was preparing to fight Team 8 as Miss Talyor asked if they were ready.
" Are you students ready? "
" Yeah, no problem Miss Taylor. We all know the plan and how to execute it. " Eptosi muttered.
" But, Juan, Sophia, and Tia don't forget how my powers and technique work. " He added
" Yeah, we know. " Sophia sighed
" You only have 3 techniques, so it's easy to memorize it. " Tia said. Last week they were planning how to defeat Team 8 and improve their teamwork.
As they finished planning there was a screen that showed the information of each team.
Team 1
Juan Garcia, [Body: Senses: Enhanced Hearing]
Sophia White, [Body: Full: Superstrength]
Eptosi Agnes, [Output: Elemental: Air Impact]
Tia Rodriguez, [ Creature: Mythical: Salamander]
Team 8
Grace Green, [Mind: Internal: Analysis]
Mason Evans, [Weapon: Normal: Spike gloves]
Benjamin Johnson, [Body:Partial: Elastic arms]
Ava Stallon, [Body:Full: Bones shot]
The rules were simple, every team should first decide if their support is going to participate in the battle. Then every participant will be dropped on a field rented by the school with each team in the opposite direction.
" Both teams have decided to not let their supports participate in the battle. " The man who was in charge of the battle said.
" So let the match begin between team 1 and 8 " He announced the beginning of the fight.

In this case, the field was situated amid a forest. Everywhere in the area, trees were thriving except for a small circle-shaped area that was surrounded by them. It was a beautiful autumn day with the leaves changing colors and falling to the ground.
Amidst all of this. Team 1 was planning how to operate depending on the enemies movements.
" Juan, can you use your power and tell how team 8 is moving? " As soon as Eptosi asked, Juan used his power [Body: Senses: Enhanced hearing], he felt like he could witness all the happenings in the field solely by his hearing. He could even hear nearby insects crawling onto the ground.
" They're seperating each other in three groups but only two are moving. " He murmured.
" Judging how they moved, I think Grace is staying behind. " Tia gave her analysis on the matter.
" But that means two are rushing at us as a pair and that someone is alone but we don't know who it is. " Sophia added. She judges it by Juan's intel.
" If we do a logical reasoning we can know it straight away. " Eptosi muttered.
" And How? " Tia asked.
" Because were placed in positions we know that there's only one position that suffers from being alone in a 1v1. "
" Long-range fighters. " Juan replied
" So it can't be Ava. " Sophia thought thinking out loud.
" But who's it then? Mason or Benjamin? " Tia retorted with another question
" Wait, Sophia said that Benjamin and Ava are childhood friends and worked together for a long time. They must have a lot of confidence that they could beat us in a 2v2 or even stall all three of us at the same time. " Juan remembered what Sophia had said about the other team while they were training.
" So, are we going to respond with the same lineup? "
" No, Sophia, you are going to the left and hopefully fighting of against Mason and I'll handle the two and we'll meet at the designed place as planned. " Eptosi explained.
" I'll go to the place as planned. " Tia said.

Sophia raced swiftly through the forest, her eyes and ears alert for any signs of Mason. She moved among the trees with catlike agility, senses heightened by the thrill of the hunt. Not far ahead, she spotted a flash of movement and closed in. Peeking from behind an oak, she saw Mason emerging nearby, seemingly unaware of her approach.
Sophia readied herself, calculating the perfect moment to engage.
>Whoosh<
As if testing waters. She threw a rock with strength at him while running in another direction.
>Bang<
But Mason destroyed the rock just by keeping his guard up.
' When he's defending himself, he's using his gloves to stop his opponent's attack so he can inflict damage with his spikes ' Sophia thought.
Meanwhile, Eptosi soared high amidst the treetops, scouring the grounds below for Benjamin and Ava. His eyes soon spotted the duo weaving between trunks. Determining the best angle, Eptosi launched himself from his perch and began his descent, charging swirling currents in his palms. The stage was set for Sophia and Eptosi's traps to be sprung.
***
Whoosh
Sophia kept throwing stones, branches, and debris while keeping her distance. Mason annoyed by this asked.
" Why do you keep running away? " He wanted to taunt her but all he saw was a big stone going to his face.
Bang
He narrowly avoided the stone which destroyed the tree trunk beside him. He continued to follow her unknown to her plan.
***
"[Impact Burst]"
Eptosi shot it right between Benjamin and Ava to make them aware of him.
" What happened? " Ava retorted
" The enemy ambushed us. " Benjamin replied. He judged by the attack that it was either Sophia who threw something or Eptosi whose powers were still unknown.
As they looked up they saw a boy with dark skin and silver hair.
" Eptosi! "
