3 days passed by. During these days, I didn’t take much of a break, only when they slept in 'the safe room'. The rest of the time, I would listen to Sylvan's guidance on how to use weapons, so I would write it to the six invaders through the announcement system.
The good thing is they began to trust my characters, especially 'the angel of doom' ; they even agreed to stay in the safe room overnight. That’s good; if I want my plans to succeed, I need the hunters to be obedient.
Four of them already leveled up and became level 1, and they are waiting on the last two to make it, and they are getting closer now.
….
“OMG, how long will it take for them to level up and get the fuck out?” I said this while lying on the bed.
Sylvan said while playing on his phone. “You know, these human games are amazing; I have never experienced such joy from the most meaningless thing.”
I lifted my head slightly and said, “Buddy, I think you have a problem; you’ve been playing on this phone for 2 days straight.”
After a moment of silence, he said, “I'm gathering information on the human race; however, it’s not easy to navigate this complex communication system.”
“And what did you gather?” I asked while watching the two hunters fight.
“Um, there are mana spirals all over the world, with the largest one being in the Pacific Ocean, that might last for years to come.”
“Yeah, I saw something about it; people have no idea what these things are.”
"They are just a side effect of introducing earth to mana so suddenly, and it also speeds up the process of natural life from creation."
"Right, yesterday was the first sighting of weird ass monsters. So I guess that’s why you said humans can get stronger outside dungeons; they just need to kill those things."
Sylvan answered without letting the phone out of his sight, “Yeah, one disadvantage of the hunter system is that you don’t get energy from killing another hunter.”
“People started to level up, man. We need to be careful. There’s that police officer from England, the wannabe bodyguard, who is actually close to us, and OMG, there is that crazy woman from Korea. Yesterday, even though the police practically begged her not to enter, she entered alone with a katana and came out hotter and a level higher. Hopefully she comes here for training someday.”
“My Lord's beauty mostly depends on level; you should really increase your standers.”
“You can speak about my love life after you fix your game addiction, Sylvan.”
“I can multitask; by the way, the last hunter just leveled up.”
I was surprised to hear that, but I checked it, and he was right: “Nice, now let’s get them the fuck out of here. Time to upgrade our dungeon a bit.”
….
That’s when they received a message. This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report. The six hunters all received the same message, which they accepted, as they had no reason not to. Although they didn't know Raven Hart, they thought he was one of the 9th primordial subordinates. The hunters were surprised to see this message, not because they don’t know what the inventory is, but because a message shows up every time they try to put something in it. Which means these weapons are at the very least unique, and because this gate wants to strengthen humans, it’s not hard to put two and two together. The commander of the team sighed, coming here thinking I was sacrificing my life and then receiving all these benefits. I don’t know whether to laugh or cry; this whole experience was so surreal, and now it’s time to leave. I led my team back to our tank and tactical vehicle, and as I took my last look toward the second room, we left, but I knew that I, Leo Quinn, would be back one day to repay this favor. ---------------------------------------- Status Intelligent life form Race: human Energy: 1/300 Level: 1 Health: 13 Strength: 15 Dexterity: 13 Stamina: 22 Mind: 8 Charisma: 8 Mana control: 2 ..... ---------------------------------------- “Finally, these idiots are out. Hey, Sylvan, I'm going to increase the dungeon size. Any objection?” Sylvan answered, his eyes lifeless, “No, we need to generate more points.” I asked with concern, “Hey buddy, are you okay?” He answered, "Yeah, I'm just waiting for the phone to finish charging." Yes, it was my fault for asking. I already modified my dungeon before, as I took almost all the space from my safe room, 'the one that has the gate', and added it to the second room, the one with the slime facility. I just increased my dungeon size by '75ft by 75ft' for 20 points and added it to the slime room. Not only that, but I bought another dungeon size increase of ‘75ft by 75ft’ for 50 points and did the same to it. Now it’s time to cut the slime room into two. If a level 1 hunter enters, then it would be embarrassing to just give them slime to fight. I could buy subordinates of level 1, but they are too expensive, and honestly, I'm not comfortable sacrificing intelligent creatures. So I will just use the other side of the slime room as a training site with Sylvan—no killing, of course. Mostly, at least. Although I'm a bit nervous about this, Sylvan said not to worry; the human race is too weak to even scratch him. One of the reasons that made me believe him was his status window. ---------------------------------------- Status Intelligent??? ??? Life form Race: abyssal ??? ??? Energy: -/- Level: ??? Health: ?????? Strength: ????? Dexterity: ????? Stamina: ???? Mind: ????? Charisma: 21 (currently locked) Mana control:??????? ---------------------------------------- If I didn’t know any better, I would’ve thought he was the world’s finial boss or something. When I asked him about it, he said, “I can’t tell you why my status is redacted, but you should know that my influence and strength are currently limited, so don’t depend on me too much.” However, sparing with humans shouldn’t be a problem for him. Now what I really want to know is -system, how many points do I gain per hour?- More than double, if I didn’t waste my early points, life would be much easier now. ________ Ternom, the dungeon master of Tymposia, sighed as he thought. -People stopped coming to the dungeon a while back; honestly, I don’t blame them. After that freak of nature came leveled up and left, I got a bit annoyed and asked Tarvark to stay in the first room and kill everyone who entered. After the first military team that was sent got annihilated, they never sent anyone else; only some lone hunters or small teams entered.- -and I could see through my dungeon eye system the military trying to persuade people not to enter, which I don’t get. Why not just shoot them if they enter? Maybe I should capture one and ask.- However, what really bothers me is Tarvark. His behavior is not that of a subordinate; he even let that freak escape first. Spending 2000 points on the first day without knowing too much about him or his personality was a mistake, and now I might pay for it with my blood. “Sweet assistant, can I get rid of Tarvark safely?” His assistant spoke neutrally: “It’s not possible to do so through the system; if you fear an incoming betrayal, you only have your leadership to blame; the system doesn’t assign a subordinate that wishes to betray their master.” -I really want to punch her in the face, but I know it won’t hurt her at all. After all, assistants are just a system database; their only job is to answer questions. The problem is that most of these answers are inaccessible. - -dungeon masters don’t get energy through killing; technically, we could, but it’s not the main way. Having stronger subordinates and a stronger dungeon will increase dungeon master status, and the most efficient way is through killing invaders inside the dungeon.- That’s why I'm sure Tarvark is not loyal; after all, he is currently my only subordinate, and I'm getting nothing from him, unlike when I recruited him, so he will probably betray me, and the dungeon will spit everything out to planet Earth, and he will do anything he wants with his strength. This is going bad really fast...
