As the light disappeared once more, I thought to myself, "Now I can finally see what these "Awakened" people can see". But the system that was supposed to be so beautiful or indescribable was just a plain grey window with a simple black text. It said, "You have been chosen to be a creator, we hope you have fun with your little power. Your first mission is to get food, and then we can start to give you your power :)".
The thing that made me the most angry was not that my power was probably one of the weakest out there, but that little smiley at the end of the text. I had nothing to say, so I just ignored the window and went outside to find something to eat and drink, as I was really hungry and definitely not because of the system window.
When I stepped outside, I saw nothing different; it was as if there were no monsters here in the first place. But I had seen destroyed houses on the news before, which was also the reason I expected to see at least some damage, but there was none, at least in the area of this savezone which is marked with a big breen barrier..

As I was wondering how this could be, my stomach grumbled. I quickly headed to the nearest convenience store, where I usually bought my things.
When I arrived, I could see that it was damaged from the outside. But I knew this wasn't caused by any monsters, it must have been done by a greedy human. I thaought, that there wouldn't be much left inside. But as my stomach rumbled again, I went inside to see if I could find something to eat.
As soon as I entered the store, all I saw was more chaos than outside. I searched and searched to find something to eat, but after half an hour, I found nothing. I couldn't take the hunger anymore when I heard someone coming into the store behind me.
I turned around and saw an old man with white hair. He was wearing clothes that looked really old and he smelled bad. I knew he was a beggar, but that didn't matter right now. As I was thinking, I heard him ask me if I needed some food. I couldn't think straight and simply answered with a yes.
