I'm John, an ordinary guy who works in an office every day just to make enough money to survive. I used to have a family, but they left me so that they could live on the little money we had. We lived the same way until yesterday. Suddenly, portals and monsters were everywhere, destroying cities.

I had no choice but to hide and watch the news to see if someone was coming to save me, but I had no hope. Thankfully, my apartment was in a safe zone, what an so called "Awakened" on the news called it. "Awakened are people like me and everyone else, but they got some superpowers from some system. This feels more like a novel or a manga than reality, but I can kinda imagine what it looks like and what it is. I don't think I will ever "Awake" any powers myself, as it is really rare to happen.

To say you the truth, I'm still in my apartment, hiding under my table, and my rations are running low as I can't do much. I couldn't decide, if I should stay in my apartment and do nothing or run ou of here and risk my life. I finally mustered up the courage to go out and get more. As I was about to leave my apartment. a bright light shone before me and I finally could see what all the "Awakened" could see, or so I thought....
